I think a lot of those were born around the time he was appointed. They don't grasp the impact he had, what he changed (at Arsenal) and the fact we went up about 10 levels with the players he found. It went from "Who the f- is that?" to " I dunno who he is, but I bet he's dynamite..."
Great man, great manager. He's gonna be revered and talked about when everyone in Earth right now are dead; he's an immortal in football.

Poor Arsene wenger didnt have the money to build his team for years due to the new stadium but yet he still able to stay in top 4 for many years with young players they have.

Arsene is just pure class! No wonder Mourinho is so jealous of him. Arsenal should have just given Wenger their cheque book in his last season and said, "Go on Arsene. You deserve it. We can afford it. Spend what you like, on who you like, just like the other managers can." Just imagine what he would have done.......
Arsenal fans should be disgusted at how they treated this great man. I'm an Arsenal fan, of course. But I wanted to be successful with Arsene, because he truly is one of us. He is Arsenal through and through. It'll never be the same without him. Nobody is more 'Arsenal' than him. People should remember that.

Brilliant Manager and fantastic man. The way the media treated him throughout his career was a disgrace. From the 4th place trophy jibe (he was right) to the lies and dishonesty about what the stadium did to Arsenal financially. In a day of cheque book managers and oil money, he was a breath of fresh air with his development of players and ability to coach players, like Henry, to be something they never thought they were. A statue should be built at the Emirates.

Truely miss listening to this wonderful man.
So very humble, determined, intelligent and incredibly honest.
A huge number of similarities in early Wenger and current Klopp- small village life, mediocre career, pure obsession with the game, want to play the right way and the unmovable motivation of inner belief in their values.
A truly awesome human, nothing but love and admiration for this special gentleman.
Live a long, healthy and happy life Arsene. Forever my hero.
Deserves a fitting stadium statue, a stand named after him as a thank you and something to remember his wonderful legacy.

I really thought the reporting on Arsene during those yrs was poor. In America, they talked about how his collaboration with David Dein would be hard to replicate in other sports because of the additional positions(GM, President etc).
They didn't discuss how the new stadium affected transfers, which gave the impression that Arsene was just cheap & stubborn.

I won't pain any pictures here, I did want this man to leave Arsenal. I knew always, partially, he is far from being the only responsible, in fact he is the least responsible, but I still held him accountable simply because he continued to push and exercise a philosophy at a club that did not provide him with the right pedigree to execute the idea. Ultimately we suffered embarrassment after embarrassment, so yeah I do think he overstayed for his own bad more than anything, maybe not as much for the bad of the fans as for the bad of himself, and he realises that now I am sure. That being said, he is the reason I started supporting Arsenal, he is one of the most intelligent men in football, of all time, and he is one of the best managers, certainly the best manager in the history of Arsenal. A man of class, and a man with certain education. People like him are a definitely a dying breed.

Ronaldinho's through ball split the defence. The offside trap didn't work. If you look carefully you'll see Eto'o is onside and the last man is Kolo Touré (#28), who gets outpaced by the striker. Jens comes out and brings him down, and the rest is history. It still hurts til this day.

Completely off topic here but at times when he speaks he sounds like he's German and other times he sounds somewhat French. Which I can
understand because he's from the Alsace.

I find the interviewer annoying and his questions are just superficial, and even his comeback questions and rebuttals are poor. Maybe he's not really a football man

Would love to hear him be honest about the 10 years from 08-18. The poor decisions he made and the boards lack of ambition. Why he didn't get help once David dein left the club?
