    I can imaging how AW felt. Arsenal was his whole world during those 20+yrs. To end the journey in such manner could not had leave a good feeling on him. Yet a man as wise as AW, I think he realised as well, he should not be there and let the club going towards the new way they have been wanted without any sort of influences from himself. We all seen how other clubs are doing when such invisible force was present. Eventually I believe that he will return and the statue for him outside the Emirates Stadium which I think should be the biggest statue will be a perfect reason to welcome back the greatest AFC manager of all times.

      Not really, one of the reason he can't come back (or the reasons why) was his fallout with Danny Fizaman who sold his shares on condition that David Dein was not allowed back into the club ..there is more this than meets the eye ... transfers in and out??? ... he mentions the 1989 but not George Graham interesting enough ... this interviewer I a bit awkward though 😅

    • @nozislam
      @nozislam Год назад +1

      @@elgonm289 I have never heard about this stipulation that Danny Fiszon made. Dein introduced Kroenke to the club, Hill-Wood first said we don't need his sort. Dein tried to come back in with Usmanov and Fiszmans ill health meant he sold to Kroenke. Yes part of this was to stop Dein and Usmanov getting the shares, but by that point Kroenke was also done with Dein as he was in bed with Usmanov. Ultimately Dein was right, Fiszmon wanted Arsenal to be self sufficient and the Emirates was part of that equation. Dein believed Arsenal shouldn't spend so much on the stadium and get an investor to keep competitive on the pitch. Arsenal have proven not to be self sufficient and competitive, the Kroenke finances over the last few years have been vital to the club.

    • @elgonm289
      @elgonm289 Год назад +1

      @@nozislam I think there is also the fact Dein was trying to get in more investors into the club, you quite rightly stated about Peter Hill-Wood saying "we don't need his sort"....I thought everyone knew about Ashley Cole moving over £5000 and stupid Arsenal fans booing him everytime.. same with Robin Persie being literally sold-off to our rivals despite Robin wanting to know what the club was doing to challenge... I get what you have said, that Kronekes finally realising what is needed to run Football Club in England and their finally worked out what it is to be an owner of Football Club in England... we definitely need Arsene Wenger back in role of responsibility at the Arsenal to help the clueless board and support the footballing side.
