@@lancedsouza1547 difference is that arsenal fans don't sing songs or hold grudges against Cole and van persie like how youse still do about Sol. Tottenham fans have never moved on from Sol leaving. Even arsenal's worst period has still resulted in silverware compared to Tottenhams best period with no silverware.

Remember coming home and my brother smiling at me. He told me to check teletext. I could see from the cheeky smile something big had happened. Checked the text and there it was. CAMPBELL IS A GOONER. Monumental signing, knew we were about to kick on again.

I remember this moment so well, had just finished year 11 and my GCSEs, sitting at home kicking my heels, watching Sky Sports News and it had been said all morning that Richard Wright's press conference was coming up.
But that moment where they cut to it and Sol Campbell walked out is a memory etched in my mind; genuine stunned silence.
Because nothing is a secret nowadays, you can pretty much guarantee there will never be another transfer like this in the history of football. I thought he was off to Bayern Munich, but now, for better or worse, you'd have the likes of Fabrizio Romano and social media on the case.
This transfer is one of the many parts which makes the 2001/02 season my favourite as an Arsenal fan; even with the likes of the Invincibles season, etc.
Why don't we have transfers like this anymore.... Shrouded in such mystery... Love it

Sol, Kolo, Lauren, Cole and Lehmann all together cost less than 20 millions about half what United paid for Ferdinand alone and Arsene Wenger went invincible with them in defence! That was our manager and some didn't appreciate him, yet the kid wasting the 30m Saliba now is a great manager with a process we should trust! The only good thing we had was the manager. Now we have a better squad than we used to but without a manager. I'd just beg Arsene Wenger to come back at this point!
