You didnt even read the description didnt you? UCF is a mod that makes all controllers equal. It would be stupid for one player to have an advantage just because he has a better controller
I did read the description, and it's still ridiculous. They could easily have just not allowed the 1% of controllers that are better than the rest, or just unbanned controller modding so anyone could have one. Hacking the game to fix it was the worst possible choice, because now the game's integrity is in the garbage (where it belongs). Plus, Melee idiots went around spreading bullshit about Brawl needing hacks to be competitive, which was completely false (no major Brawl tournament ran non-cosmetic hacks), but still hurt the game's image. And now, after years of giving Brawl players shit for something they didn't even do, Melee players are actually using gameplay hacks? They deserved to be mocked for that.
If that's true, then that means any controller mod that isn't externally visible would fly under the radar, in which case they should just make it legal (like every single other fighting game) so anyone can have a "good" controller. And I'm not talking about PM, everyone knew those were separate games. Even before PM, Melee players were insisting that Brawl tournaments were using gameplay hacks. They were never specific about what hacks Brawl players were supposedly using (because that would require basic knowledge of the thing they spent their entire lives deriding), though they were probably referring to anti-tripping hacks. Tripping was the dumbest thing, but it was almost never consequential. There's almost no combos in Brawl, you're invulnerable while tripping and while recovering from a trip, and you recover from it pretty quickly, so you couldn't really get any significant damage or land a KO just from a trip. Because of that, we just dealt with it, but Melee players still insisted that it was literally impossible to play without the hacks.
I like smash 4, but those evo grand finals were pathetic. Melee was much more interesting to see, and I’m glad Leffen won. Hopefully Ultimate fixes some issues that smash 4 had
Can someone explain to me why playing with .9 knockback and not 1 is a massive deal? I'm not saying it isn't, but to me it seems relatively minor, and it impacted both players. Is it because it would change kill percents and mess up some combos because of spacing? Is the .9 major enough to impact that? I'm not trying to start shit, I'm genuinely curious.
It changes kills to be 10% later. It was shown that there were times in the Komo vs CaptZack set and the ZeRo vs Dabuz set where moves didn't kill when they should have with 1.0x knockback.
To be honest, Bayo ruined Smash 4. I lost all interest in watching it as a viewer when she became so prevalent. Salem using Bayo was the last time I watched and that is only because Salem is such a respectful dude. But man, she's such a grossly overpowered character it is not even funny. I don't understand why the devs had such a hard on for her to not rebalance her properly :| What I don't understand even more is all the people defending her as just being a good character. Bayo is not just a good character, she is just a few steps below being Brawl Meta Knight tier. More and more of Smash 4 became "how well can you do against Bayo", which is pretty much what happened to Brawl with Meta Knight and why many tournies opted to ban him. It is perfectly understandable for people to boo players that use a character that a large majority of the community wanted to see rebalanced or outright banned.
Agreed. Bayo was the beginning of the end for Smash 4. Bayo literally was the definition of Pay to Win. Let's hope Nintendo learns from that and doesn't add another God tier in the DLC for Ultimate. Make them good, make them be able to compete and hold their own, heck make them top tier...but please don't make them unarguably better than every other character by a LONG SHOT. Also I'm glad Salem gave up on Bayo and is maining Link now. That alone is respectable.
Well, this year, i guess they do now, especially after nairo basically had a documentary on him thats on the nintendo or smash channel andddd sakuarai lost badly to toby fox, who follows competitive smash
A really mean person Nairo doesn’t have a documentary on either of their channels, and Sakurai losing to that guy doesn’t mean that he’ll take competitive smash seriously

“You can’t stall the match” ACTUALLY it’s not stalling it strategic long term psychological play, as you could see both of them had an attack ready and it would be foolish to mindlessly abandon the power position they had. Kappa.
The funny part of this video is that the set with the worst video quality was one of if not the most influential match in this video, it legit got an entire stage banned just off of one match
If that happens, the player shouldn't be dqed the stage should just be possibly banned after some discussion in the community. Saying you should be dqed for stalling if your opponent isn't stalling too is a really shitty mindset
Basically the knockback setting was off. I wasn’t fair for Leffen because of the settings and wasn’t fair for Chudat because he couldn’t replay the full set, just the last match.
evo grandfinals was necessary, it showed how toxic our community is, and why we still got much to fix if we want to have a good community in ultimate. It also showed that we still need to learn how to beat bayo, since so many top players just lost at the hands of lima and zack. Nario was there, he could have taken it easy if it was the bayo we are used to, but zack and lima took bayo to another level, so now we just need to learn how to counter that level of bayo. With the community as toxic as it is, and people just giving up left and right on the game, I doubt we will improve before ultimate tho, if even in ultimate lol
Do you think a community will change in that short amount of time? No. Bayo was released TWO YEARS ago and she's been doing the same stuff since the beginning, what Zack and Ligma did was the same stuff Bayo had at her launch. She's one of the major reasons people are giving up, because this character is so busted. So many of these players had interesting picks before Bayo, now all it is Bayo to win, it's boring as hell and we can only hope she's nerfed in Ultimate.
@@lamelukasThat's the mindset that is ruining the community. SHE IS BUSTED AF, like SERIOUSLY BUSTED......but you can still technically beat her. The problem here is lazyness, and the lack of people who don't just give up. If you really care about something, you will never give up no matter how hard it is. Humans are just getting more lazy, and bayo is proof of this.
@@vDREEGONv So you're saying that even top players are having that mindset too? ZeRo said to adapt and overcome when she first came out but you can't, and I'm sure he's changing his mind on that statement. It's at a point where you either play Bayo or you don't. I'm sorry if you still think that she has any losing matchups but her kit is too strong. If it wasn't then she wouldn't have needed a nerf and wouldn't have been so commonly used in Evo. I don't remember if I said it before but it's not just about how strong she is but that fact that everyone is playing her which is taking away from a lot of people playing different, potentially more interesting characters. Instead of focusing on the rest of the massive roster we get stuck with this single character in the spotlight and nobody else has a chance, especially with Smash5 coming out.
@@lamelukas You can technically beat her with any character and that is a 100% fact. If we had more people fighting all they got to overcome the "impossible", we would not have seen all these people drop out. These people dropped out because they got tired of bayo, tired, it's not there is no way to beat her, it's that it's too hard for them. I can tell you, I will never give up, no matter how broken bayo is, I won't quit a game just because of how difficult it is. As long as there is a chance, even if it's microscopic, I will fight for my dream, the problem is, most other people don't feel like that, so they give up cause they lose again and again. Sometimes it just takes forever to accomplish your goal, and that can be really frustrating. There is a way around bayo, we just need to find the most effective way to play against her. Some will say it's bayo, other people like me will just try to see which of her options you can punish, like ab kick, you can sdi down and back air that with falco before she can do anything. You can also technically down air spike her witch twist, I have done it many times, and she can't react. ZeRo gave up because he didn't have any power left to fight for, he was done, dried up, if he really had the mindset to go beyond yourself, you don't give up, it's not a option, the only option is to fight until you win if your mindset is to go beyond the impossible. Imma stick around until the game ends, and Imma fight hard to achieve my dreams, no matter bayo, diddy, rosa, people telling me how bad falco is. I believe in him, and I will do my best to use him go his absolute max potential ^_^
@@lamelukas Play villager and pocket dodge every single attack.......... And spam projectiles it will work. The Bayo's I played kept coming closer but couldn't handle the projectiles.
Honestly there's nothing wrong with forcing the opponent to approach when being ahead and in an adventageous position. If it does end up taking forever, that's on the other guy for not accepting and dealing with the shitty situation he's in.
I don't understand the clip between Captain Zack and Komoriki. Not necessarily the game but the second handshake. It's pretty obvious that at 4:52, Zack and Komo already shook hands even if it wasn't on camera. With that in mind, why are people trashing on Komo for not accepting the second handshake? Who goes for a second handshake?
I hate Bayo, but hating on a player because they want to use the strongest character to win is just dumb. Zack and Lima afk stalling wasn’t cool but neither was the crowd treating them like shit. Thing is that those two gotta understand that when you play the best characters, you’re a villain by default, don’t matter how nice you are, how good of a person you are, or how godlike your game is; people see a tierwhore who only cares about winning. I say embrace it, the community loves a good “bad guy” like Leffen or FChamp.
@eric Spencer Melee is not the exception to that rule. People hate Hungrybox because of his character pick. Do not even try with the "But Hungrybox have done shitty things in the past"-bullshit. Mango have said and done disrespectful shit and people never hate on him. It is just a coverup because "Jigglypuff is killing melee!!"
Holy shit I remember when that knock back wasn’t at x1 thing happened. Thats so bullshit honesty after that the entire event should have been shut down. It’s extremely evident that the people who ran it had a huge bias. The proper thing to do is DQ someone for cheating or replaying the entire match from 0 with no cheats on. What they did instead was disgusting. I hope every person who ran that event fails at every single Smash tournament they go to from hear until the end of time.
The issue present here is that they were running on time for that top 8, and ZeRo/Dabuz match was also set to 0.9x knockback so if Komorikiri and Zack's set got replayed, ZeRo and Dabuz's set would have needed to be replayed as well. It was the only decision that could have been taken in order to end the tournament in time. Sad for Komo but it is what it is.

You can't say it just like that. 0.9 knockback ratio changes more than just killthrows. The whole match could have gone differently.
Could of not would.
Platurt you’re right and that’s exactly why they should’ve replayed the whole set or at least done a best of three. Whole tournament loses its integrity after something like that
@@ghandig8771 I wouldn't go as far to say "loses it's integrity" because you're bound to run into problems in the long run and have to make compromises, but yeah that would have been fairer for the competitors.

@@qazxsw13 Are you implying that autism equals stupidity
The comments won't shut up about Bayo, but don't even mention the first clip where they had to replay a Melee set because the game *wasn't* hacked.
@@RunicSSB You cant try every controller before you allow them in tournament
@@RunicSSB Also could you please explain what "melee idiots" said about brawl needing a mod to be competetive? Are you talking about pm?
Thanks for the description

Can someone explain to me why playing with .9 knockback and not 1 is a massive deal? I'm not saying it isn't, but to me it seems relatively minor, and it impacted both players.
Is it because it would change kill percents and mess up some combos because of spacing? Is the .9 major enough to impact that?
I'm not trying to start shit, I'm genuinely curious.
It changes kills to be 10% later. It was shown that there were times in the Komo vs CaptZack set and the ZeRo vs Dabuz set where moves didn't kill when they should have with 1.0x knockback.
Also, some combos are far easier to execute and follow up on since the opponent is always 10% closer to you.
The “Best I Ever Had” remix of Meta Knight was hilarious 😂
To be honest, Bayo ruined Smash 4. I lost all interest in watching it as a viewer when she became so prevalent. Salem using Bayo was the last time I watched and that is only because Salem is such a respectful dude. But man, she's such a grossly overpowered character it is not even funny. I don't understand why the devs had such a hard on for her to not rebalance her properly :|
What I don't understand even more is all the people defending her as just being a good character.
Salem is respectable? LOL
You speak truth, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Corinus Richen Salem is such a respectful dude

I think that if you stall for more than 3 minutes, with no damage taken on either side while the opponent pursues you you should be DQ'd.
For the Kongo jungle damage was taken but the guy did stall, for the Hyrule Castle one it was a long time ago so ruleset weren’t really good back then

That Zac v Lima hurt my soul and proves why smash 4 will not be remembered in a good wat
evo grandfinals was necessary, it showed how toxic our community is, and why we still got much to fix if we want to have a good community in ultimate.

Holy shit I remember when that knock back wasn’t at x1 thing happened. Thats so bullshit honesty after that the entire event should have been shut down.
