I don't know much about competitive smash, but if I were to ever watch a stream it'd be these guys. They're self aware, seems like a chill environment, good sportsmanship, they got the perfect shot of kiwi's reaction, plus they had the replay set up. Based on this clip alone they seem like the perfect competitive smash group to be a part of.
I don't know what's more surprising: The clips where people run off the stage and make their deaths look as deliberate as possible, or the ones where almost everyone ignores the victory screen that's clearly telling everyone who won.
Honestly that Fow play will always stand out as the most tragic play in Smash in my mind. MJG and Fow are a great team and I think that was the closest they ever got to winning doubles at APEX.

The lesson that taught it to me is one time when I lost to my friend via a star K.O., my body flying in the background. My friend did Samus's fAir in celebration... but the game spawned an explosive box on him at that exact moment. He died before I did. Funniest match I've ever "won". He's still mad about it a decade later.

So far I only had two people celebrate prematurely against me, I’m a little Mac so when they saw me go off the stage they thought I couldn’t make it back and taunted but while they were mid taunt I used my KO punch. The only two times this has happened to me I always had my KO punch, it was so funny and I always got mad because I was always at max saved replays.
Do shoutcasters just not pay attention to what is happening onscreen? Everytime it takes them 5+ seconds to realize what happened takes like 3 months off of my life.

Do shoutcasters just not pay attention to what is happening onscreen? Everytime it takes them 5+ seconds to realize what happened takes like 3 months off of my life.

I was thinking that, too. In fact I was wondering if it’s ever happened that someone erroneously gets the win and nobody ever notices and the tournament progresses on those false results.
