They got so much flak for the haptic mouse thingy but it worked pretty good, kind of like the Thinkpad eraser mouse, not sure the touchpad is an improvement. Coming from performance vehicles clearly a driving difference, but this goes okay and ultra comfortable. I went for the f sport trim with the hybrid engine and can throw it into a bend. I own this car and while it's not perfect, it's a really nice package. Ridiculously quiet. Ridiculously good gas mileage (if I'm driving around town i regularly get over 50 mpgs). Better handling and better ride than the ES before it (think 75% of a Honda Accord but much quieter and much better suspension). The stereo in mine, which is not ML, is HORRENDOUS for a Dodge Dart, much less a Lexus (completely front biased and even at that, the sound coming out is awful even with CDs etc.). They lowered the roof to make it look like a coupe, like virtually everyone is trying with their sedans to save them, but they should've left it alone. As for the inevitable "I'd just buy the Camry or Corolla hybrid", they are NOT the same and all you have to do is drive them to see. And if you think the Lexus grille is hideous (which frankly I do), there is NO way I'd go NEAR an Avalon with that ridiculous grille and even more hideous tablet stuck on a slide on the inside. Now THAT is a deal-breaker.

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews 3 года назад +1

      I actually done a review on the 2015 vs 2021 and I have to say it’s chalk and cheese in terms of drive but you are right with the head room in the back almost completely gone to rear should’ve been a little bit taller to accommodate taller people. And every Lexus I’ve ever sat in always has a front bias on speakers even with ML.

      It's amazing how people just completely make up their own facts. The MPG for the V6 in the city is 22; for the hybrid it's 43. That's DOUBLE. You're entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts; what you said is simply not true.

    • @psewgobind
      @psewgobind 4 года назад

      @@mrsj1417 It's true. I drive Lexus for a living. If driver is able, you can get Hybrid like consumption from those NA engine. Same with Toyota and Honda engine. Human can do a better job at keeping the momentum going while hybrid will put it back into the battery, which in some cases is less efficient since coasting with injector shut-off is more desirable. I can't fault the TFL followers, since most are not as experience as me (assuming non 4x4 stuff).

      @@matteonoris4319 it's not necessarily about the top speed but how fast you can get there and the sound the car makes doing it. I do agree that diesel is actually better tech in general than gas but gas offers advantages viscerally that most diesels just dont. Plus diesels cost and weigh more.

      @@MrBillsfishin yeah o agree both have pros and cons but as far as torque diesel makes more of it as far as displacement is concerned. In Europe it is labour 70% of the market and the cost of the diesel option is generally 1000$ so thats not a lot.

      @@matteonoris4319 the diesel option over here runs anywhere from 2500 to 6000 ish. Not every gas station here has it. Maintenance with all the new green bullshit is getting fairly costly as well. We do have a few states that don't enforce it but I live in California which has some of the toughest smog laws in the country unfortunately. Like I said it is a great engine. I totally understand why it is the engine of choice in many countries. I wish we had some of those choices over here. (Toyota 70 series Land Cruiser). Real simple offroad truck with reliability and function over all else. Oh well I am dreaming. Lol

    My mom bought an RX350 F sport and its pretty nice inside but really the only thing it has that my Focus ST doesn't is cooled seats. Hers has been back to the dealer 4 times already. Auto wipers wouldn't work. Power steering leak. Water pump. Ac went out. Seems Toyota/Lexus reliability isn't what it used to be sadly. Thing I hate about it the most is the infotainment system is awful.

    You must have the shortest torso of any person your height. My mother has that car, and I am 5 foot nine, and when I’m sitting in the backseat my head is jammed against the roof. And that’s without leaning back. I think it is one of the most stupidly designed backseats in the history of mankind. It’s an enormous backseat in terms of front to back space and yet it can’t hold a reasonably sized adult
