Dear god please please please AMG don’t kill Legion the way you did X-Wing. Let Shatterpoint be your “named heroes” style of game, don’t do that to Legion!
Yeah, this. What AMG fail to realise is that named dudes are only "special" if there are non-named dudes... when every one is "special" then nobody this special!
@@yeltneb9390 It's so utterly inane they thought releasing half an edition for a 4 (and a half) faction game was a good idea... Warhammer only gets away with it due to how big it is..
Even with this points increase you can still make a very efficient 501st list. I do like the changes for the steady charge relentless stuff. Yoda bad batch was terrifying. Like others have said, releasing half an update is still a poor decision and the fact that white save armies are still not gonna be up to par or change any come next year is sad.
Honestly The point about white saves armies feels completely correct. I love the flavor of b1s. And it's super fluffy that a MTT holds exactly 112 b1s and that's what you can take in the game, but they just suck. Every time my friends see me put them down. They're like oh crap. That's a lot to b1s. Then they all die by turn three. Feels bad
Another thing AMG could do for points changes is show the change in point to so in parentheses have +x points or -y points. Or just show the previous point value like old points -> new points. And the old points could have a line through it just to be clear don't use that value.
I think some command cards are going to get reworded to allow the move and charge/steady/relentless to go proc. I can see Jyn’s saying “this move can trigger charge”for example.
I just got my hands on 3 starter boxes for republic/CIS, never tried either before but I have hopes that by the time the new system is up and running “officially” I’ll be able to enjoy any army
Points changes needed to happen to republic, maybe not as harsh, but they were needed. If you look at the win rates and the lists doing the winning, it was republic and most of those lists included the adjusted units. Rebels and shadow collective still need help. Empire could use a few tweaks as well. Good to see fixed dates for point adjustments
As someone who doesn’t play GAR, but plays AGAINST GAR a ton, I can confidently say that these are great choices! Especially with the new Clone upgrades. Jesus the Clone upgrades
I think these changes were needed by in large. The standby move back into a unit to attack it basically didn't happen so while the option was removed it really isn't what they should be balancing around.
I like the things they did change. Totally ok with the bigger rules change, it was frustrating. I’m hoping the things they didn’t change are because of future updates
nothing too shocking. I'm looking forward to seeing all the changes released, so I can get a better idea of the full impact of the changes, but I certainly don't see this as X-Wing all over again. I'm liking a number of the changes so far. I just want to see them all.
In my opinion they might have overdone it by increasing the cost of the commander AND Arcs. Its 14 points per unit more now :( Appreciate the 15 points for commandos, cause i really like delta squad :)
I think it's about right. People playing clones were literally saying "I can make two big mess ups in a game early on, and still win because the army is broke"
Honestly it's still not enough. White save armys feel like they can't compete right now and this really hasn't done anything to change that, just ~ 1 less unit to shoot them a turn.
After a year of having my butt served by republic, i am glad for the cost increase. As a fan of Legion, the general changes are not my jam at all. But ir isnthe life of tabletop games, they concoct these new editions to boost their sales. It is a business after all.
I doubt that legion is going to go the way of all named characters or squads. It just isn't that type of game. As others have said, that is what Shatterpoint is for.
This is my personal opinion but I'm not a fan of Legions direction after Shatter Point came out such as The systematic weakening of hero units in Legion to highlight them in Shatterpoint. Im not a fan of having to play 2 mediocre games to get the same experience of one great one

They Already kill my local scene with the update. Went from 6-7 regulars to 1-2
@@yeltneb9390same here , I moved on to bolt action
Right?

I just want the rest of the update. It still blows my mind they didn't release everything at once.
The lack of changes for Shadow Collective is astounding to me

To add on to this. I still think commandos point increase should have been for the weapon and armor, make it a choice to bring those for the points.

Doesn't bother me! Me and my friends only play with the old rules

Thanks for always being quick to feedback on the accouncements.

Just make Guidance a free action for Yoda. Problem solved.
That seems like a solid idea. Worth considering for sure!
With him being able to attack twice a turn that seems.. dangerous xD but he is pretty slow so.. Maybe works?
Thanks for the update!
It’s good they have fixed dates for releasing updates. Hope it means the game will last longer.
The original game and format worked fine. Why mend something that was never broken.
I am glad they changed the color of the point change units but I agree with your criticism as well. Thanks for the update.

Arcs started at 75, went down to 65, then put up to 75 in 2.6, and now down to 65
Honestly these changes seem fair. Defo happy to see Anikan increase in price.
On a whole the changes are fine and probably needed. I will miss my Yoda guidance on Bad Batch but understand the change.
Hurts to see the increase on attack and defense protocols even if they are probably fair

I feel like this update still doesn’t do enough to address the overall weakness of rebels or the overwhelming meta that is still the 501st
Go play ewoks and try to say me rebels are not meta
I am new to StarWars Legion, but I got question, what old units will be useable on tournament, any list? What about Jyn Erso, or Sabine Wren? thx.
All are useable. Sabine is alright. Jyn is meh.
Thanks, Crabbok. I appreciate the video and your positive attitude. However, I am concerned about the game and AMG in general.
I recently moved continents and had to leave my legion stuff behind, i miss playing 😢

Seems fair to me, meta has needed a shake up. Tbd whether they swung too far, but it doesn't seem like it to me
B2 did not change atall?, B2 the super squad.... am i missing somthing?
I doubt that legion is going to go the way of all named characters or squads. It just isn't that type of game. As others have said, that is what Shatterpoint is for.
I like generics, darn you AMG.
Blue isn't good or bad. It's just different
I like what I see so far. No issues from me at all. I like the new changes and the direction of the game.
This is my personal opinion but I'm not a fan of Legions direction after Shatter Point came out such as The systematic weakening of hero units in Legion to highlight them in Shatterpoint. Im not a fan of having to play 2 mediocre games to get the same experience of one great one
😮
They are just making the game so much less thematic
These changements seem pretty fair i think. But i dont really know because i havent play since the release of the new version
This change is the final straw for me. Legion is dead to me now. AMG is so out of touch its insane.
Tf are you talking about?!? GAR has been the meta since legion 2.0 released!!
What final straw, lol? They did a points update, something that has existed throughout Legions' lifespan. Gar had a 60%+ win rate.
Gar players really are the most entitled of gods creations
Amg needs to stop! Holly molly 😢this game is too boring now. Its so vanilla now
