Thanks just watched this video: ON the EOS R from someone who has used all the amazing High end Cinema Cameras. He has not ried Clog 10 bit yet. ruclips.net/video/rX-5X1zYkXQ/видео.html
From the Blackmagic Design HDMI to 6G SDI Manual: 2 L - ANALOG or AES/EBU Balanced left channel analog audio or AES/EBU digital audio input on a 1/4" jack connector. 3 R - ANALOG Balanced right channel analog audio input 1/4" jack connector. Switch 8 - Analog Audio, AES/EBU Audio Set switch 8 to OFF to select balanced analog audio, or to ON for digital AES/EBU audio input. To use these inputs Switch 7 must also be set to ON. Switch 7 - HDMI Audio - Input Audio Set switch 7 to OFF to select embedded HDMI audio, or to ON for analog or AES/EBU audio.
Input Audio for this convertor. It's desigtned to bring video in from a camera and add music or mixed audio from a mixer like the Rodecaster Pro or any audio interface for that matter.
Hi Keith, love the videos on the Hyperdeck, I have only been using part of the power of the Hyperdeck, and now watching your videos I am excited to try out more. I bought this exact converter after watching this video. the HDMI video works but I have struggled to make audio work. The audio works from the camera but can't seem to get it to work from my Audient ID44 interface, using the speaker out. I thought it may be the cables but I have tried both 1/4 inch stereo and mono cables. Tried setting the dip switch 2 on(as this says it should use audio input) but still no luck on or off. maybe I got myself into a mess now. Any advice, do I have to set the record format to something special. by the way I can get the audio to come through my ATEM Mini Pro so I know the audio output is working - though there a bit of a bussing sound in the audio. I usually get through the ATEM.
Have to update the firmware in the Convererts and they seem to have an issue sometimes with audio if they are powerd down and back on when your booting up. I use to power them down and I would have to reset one. Also make sure the audio settings are correct inside the HyperDeck. I do have a free one hour consult avilable on Zoom so stop over and fill out the form at www.lifesjourneyproductions.com/start-here We will get something set up.
Thanks for this video. What might be a good way to get get the Converter battery-powered? I know there's a 3G version with an internal battery but I already have the 6G and just trying to make the most of it.
They make NP Sony Batteries with a USB out but this Convertor is power hungry. I will need to look and see if you can power it over USB like the two SDI to HDMI Convertors I use on my HYperdeck to convert sdi out to HDMI both of those are USB powered but I plug in the power supply on the HDMI to sdi 6G Convertor.
Does it carry timecode from HDMI? I read only the 3g converter does timecode from hdmi, the 6G does not. Which is a shame because 3G version is only 1080p
Hi Keith .. One question with this HDMI to SDI 6G I can connect a blackmagic poacket 4k on in and keep the signal 4k on the Sdi to put on a switcher that read 4k?
If you come out of the Camera 4 K it should pass that signal fine. The HyperDeck Mini will not record raw but will record up to 4K 4.2.2 30FPS the HyperDeck Pro and up records raw. The HDI to SDI 6G. You can also feed it right and left audio directly from a sound board. If you then go into a 4 mixing console it should pass the signal.
@@keithbennett5179 Yes i will used a black magic pocket 4k out to a atem blamagic studio 4k ...so i just need a conversor hdmi to sdi.. but the conversor should give the 4k of teh camera to the switcher.
@@kduramos keep in mind if you want to use. Camera controls from the control software you have to convert both ways. I would also do some research on that. Aaron Parecki touched base on that a few weeks ago. I do t own a BMD camera.
@@keithbennett5179 Hi Keith i the major case we will use just to do live events , the major, the camera i thing we will steup in the own camera. We intend don´t use software control , in most cases only the hardware , the sortware control of blackmagic only in special cases. But the principal thing it´s to get the 4k image of pocket 4k or canon eos and that signal enter fine in the same resolution to blackmagig atem television studio 4k
