In Grante intro presentation demo of the replay features using the Media Player 10g with DaVinci Resolve and the replay device make sure you watch his demo . I don’t have the Media Playetr 10g so my knowledge Is limited as is my studio network speed is 1g transfer speeds. So, I would yield to other trainers. I had some people asking me about this new player and how it would compare to current HyperDeck options. It’s a thunderbolt device and it’s designed to work in a 10g network environment. Keep that in mind. I hope this helps.

Yes and no. With firmware update 9.5 update or latter you can use the usb-c out and display program, preview or multi-been using something like OBS and then also have the software control open. You will not be able to record. I would always recommend an extra monitor even if your just take a small 7” monitor. Also with no headphone out you need a way to monitor the audio and many desktop monitors include a headphone out.

@@benjaminacheampong475you will have to adapt two of the outs to stereo into the 3.5 mic input if the ATEM. That or you could use the main outs right and left to 3.5 stereo.

Neither model has a play back feature. You could use a HyperDeck to Record to via one of the SDI outs and then route it back via one of your SDI inputs to play back. It’s still not a viable fast instant replay device. You also have built into the new 9.5 firmware a record to the cloud feature available now in the output folder. That can be used with DaVinci Resolve For replay back and they even added replay features and new hardware like the Media Player 10g thunderbolt device for instant replay options. Blackmagic also has a new replay hardware device for controlling Resolve. No easy ATEM Mini or Extreme built in replay feature. Yet, these new options with new devices get’s us closer. The good news is the EXTREME SDI model has 4 SDI outs so having two HyperDecks hooked up them router back you could create a HyperDecks System using Macros. Check out the latest major release video on Blackmagic Designs Web page where Grant Demos these new features of the Media Player 10 G and Resolve.

You can’t set the auto location speed but when you have auto tracking on you can set slow/medium /fast. It also has a AI Zoom feature that can be set to to Hear track / half body track / whole body track:

Multi view has always been available through HDMI but only Program has been available through USB-C. He you have three option including Multi View through the USB- C out. Have fun with the new update. Version 9.5.1! I cover it all in my latest video!

Every time the lighting changes it affects the white balance. So being able to control that is important. Color temperature. Modern cameras have auto settings and manual so if your have a majority of your lights set to 5600k you can set that in the camera. It a subject that needs to be covered. When jt is set to auto it shifts. Especially when you have a window behind you with daylight and in the rim you have a warmer temperatures set like 4700k.

Yes we measured the speakers and behind the patches are the speaker handles. I wanted covers that could slip over. The are patched made of the same material and embroidered sowed at the top and Velcro holds them closed at the bottom. My mother in law has an embroidery machine and a surger for sowing. She took my vision for them and made them. I was her helper. We purchase the fabric at a local store I am making two more for monitor five I juts purchased and a future number 5.

What exactly are you asking would work on it?

You have to use the software to capture a still. With the new software control update you can now use the HDMI out for a multiview monitor and use the USB C out to display through OBS the preview, multi-view or program and then in OBS display that full screen in another monitor: I covered this two live stream ls back!

You will not be able to review via usb c ssd drive but you can record in OBS the program out and use that as a confidence monitor at the same time!

@@tomydinino3711 I have not had that same issue. It may be where you are saving your new backgrounds. Have you reached out to Elgato?

HDMI cables over 12-15 or more feet especially cheap ones can be spotty at best and may not work. So for long runs over 12 feet I recommend converting to SDI then back again. I have had many 12 foot cables that have worked over the years but they were high end. But I never have I tried anything longer. They make long distance HDMI cables but they use Ethernet built in and I have seen some pros and cons reviews on those and I have not tried them. My studio set up has every camera and monitor within 10 ft for my longest run. Glad you enjoy the videos. I will do my best to cover this in a video but I am in no way an expert! The people I listen to online have always said stay away from anything longer than 15feet in HDMI and some even over 12ft length so it comes down to the signal. Some of the newer cameras have higher resolution outputs and that could be the issue. What is the Output resolution set on your camera? 1080 or 4K? Remember the ATEM has convertors built in so if you send 4K it will divert it to 1080P 60 or lower if you set the ATEM to lower. I hope I have helped.

Below your key on and off button there is a key button use that after your make the camera live that you want the lower third tied to. When the key is on and you select that key lower button it will follow that camera input only! Share and Like!

@@Ficktao in the ATEM Control software their are button that say key on them those buttons are used to tie a key to a certain input. So when you turn the Key on and then enable the key button bellow it it will turn off anytime you change away from that input. When you have the key on and the key button bellow it off the key will stay on all the time regardless of what input your transition from!

I have actually been controlling the Insta 360link with the computer application now days and programming the preset locations. I love the application but have not been able to switch from one to the other Insta 360 link in the phone application. In the computer application you can switch cameras. I run both my Insta360 links from my PC into my ATEM via the computer. How are you connecting yours to your ATEM?

After watching your podcast I actually had the thought (as a last choice) to connect my cameras to my ATEM mini via my laptops... currently I connect my insta360 (3 of them) directly to the ATEM via the TAO uvc to HDMI converter box. It's great...but it currently doesn't allow for any camera manipulation

@@keithbennett5179 ...oh...follow up question...if I may...are you saying you connect 2x insta360 cameras to your ATEM from 1 (the same) PC or must use multiple PCs? Either way I will try connecting my insta360 to my ATEM via my laptop(s)...I'll do two for now until I learn how (if able) to connect 2 cameras to my 1 laptop and send out 2 camera feeds to my ATEM

As far as the controls I think their is a setting in the software that lets you tap the front if the camera to turn it on and off but I have never used it. Are you using a USB C to HDMI adapter to connect them directly?

@@keithbennett5179 I'll explore if the tap(ing) of the front of the camera switches / toggles the motion on/off. I know the double tap will recenter the camera. But was / am unaware of a "single" tap option...trying now... BTW, I connect via USB type C connection from camera to the uvc converter

Are you doing all your streaming from a laptop?

@@keithbennett5179 indeed and as you'd guess streaming is not my main focus. But what I really should have written is that I was fooled by the nice jog wheel and didn't realize this unit cannot be used as a control surface for anything (well, anything other than itself, obviously). So it can't control any software like Resolve, any software media player etc. I guess by looking at it (and the nice reviews) I just didn't realize that it's limited to hardware playback which isn't useful if you don't feed the out back into some other hardware. This actually makes the playback function rather useless to me. What's left is that it's a recorder. But then again as a recorder it's not all that good: it's desktop-only but there's no 4K. I should have figured this out earlier (before ordering) but luckily I can still return it.

It also has a teleprompter feature and with a HDMI to USB adapter it can be used with a computer. As a control device for software it’s not. Sorry if my video made you think it was a controller.

@@keithbennett5179 no need to apologize, your video is quite good. It just made me realize that none of the videos I watched on this device pointed out these aspects. Maybe that's because the creators of the videos all have lots of other hardware to loop the signals back into so for them it's obvious and not limiting. For someone who likes to do a lot of things with as little hardware as possible, this didn't turn out to be the best buy. Now I can keep that opinion to myself or just throw it out there so maybe someone on RUclips reads it and decides to mention the aspect for beginners/minimalists in a future video ;-)

I would be happy to do that. The challenge is RUclips gets to decide who finds it! Perhaps I will make a follow up video for uploading to my page. It would be cool if Blackmagic would add midi control to the shuttle that would be a cool addition! The Stream Deck plus could be a good choice perhaps for you! All files should be rendered Pro Res, same frame rate and size for instance: 1080P 30 FPS .

That’s the great thing about microphones you get to pick what sounds good to you. Every voice is different so you never know until you test them side by side. I have used my DJI Mic Kit 1 for years now and most of my remote videos have been shot using it hooked to my phone. Glad you liked the video. Please give it a “like” if you have not already!
