      @MewSn0wk1tty watching the football game(s) is their family bonding time, so it's normal for them to gather on the couches. They didn't notice that Michael sat at the table (except for Sandra's character who was still standing).

      Did you know "colored" people have alot more respect to caucasians because our mothers and fathers teach us to respect our elders and that helps us learn to respect non-related families because we have manners. We arent criminals the way other caucasians see us. I really dont know where that stereotype came from but im thankful that my family punished me through with those soft beatings. Of course i mean a punishment not a abusive thing that some families are thinking that makes us different. Nothing is different with everyones ethnicity, the only thing that changes us is the thought, choices, and the attitude that comes along that thought when you compare white between black, yellow,red or even brown.
      (im just saying this after that "HE.SAT.AT.THE.TABLE" and it sounded to me like no brown skin person ever has any manners or respect for a family theyte not apart of.)

    • @HeroOTime
      @HeroOTime 6 лет назад +37

      At first you look around and you either get mad at yourself for not being how others are, or you get sad that no matter what people already made an image of you that you can’t change no matter what. Sitting alone doesn’t get too bad, I mean back when I was in high school I didn’t have internet or a good phone, but it gave me enough time to make games of my own. I used to crumble the bread of my burger and watch ants carry them, and test their strength with bigger crumbs.
      At home, well you just have to deal with it. It’s not like I was abused or anything, just that I wasn’t that sport superstar my dad wanted me to be, and I wasn’t really good at math or physics like my mom wanted me to. Sitting alone, or eating by yourself felt more relaxing too, I mean no one criticizes you for eating too loud or too much, and you can be yourself.

      I was raised Christian as well but we never consciously said grace but where I come from it is normal to thank the person who prepared the meal (aka my mum) by saying "God bless your hands" and at the end of the meal everyone just says to themselves "Praise God". I like it this way. You don't say it out loud but you whisper it. It feels really intimate.

    • @adamskaocelot8382
      @adamskaocelot8382 8 лет назад +42

      No, it isn't what we are all about. This nation isn't a christian nation. One of the major foundations this country was built on was religious freedom and the separation of the church and state. The founding fathers would be ashamed of people talking like how you and many others do. The Republican party and religious freaks like you blabber on and on about how they need to preserve the way this country always has been as you fucking piss on it by shoving your religious beliefs on everyone.

    • @DonB.-Mulefivefive
      @DonB.-Mulefivefive 8 лет назад +3

      ***** Objection. On two parts was this nation founded. 1) the freedom in which to worship the God or gods that you desired or wished to and 2) The ability to own property in which the Crown did not and could not own. Kindly review the Constitution . the ability to own and bear and keep arms came after the fact. Unbeknowest to you Mister Grant, this nation was founded upon a religious principle. You may or may not embrace it but by that very reason are you here in this nation under God. Be so kind as to review your basic founding principles in which most if not all high school history and base laws are founded upon. You may not embrace any part of it. You might not even like any part of it. But in the over all sense of the law, as it was founded and established in this country, that very base item is what keeps us separate and apart. thus the concept of State versus church. I'm sure you've reviewed this prior to your arbitrary statement? Until or unless you've reviewed the basic concept on which this nation was founded further discussion with you regarding this matter is moot. Good day to you sir. " One nation indivisible, under God...."

    • @MalakianM2S
      @MalakianM2S 8 лет назад +11

      In fact, the "under God" part is a change dated in 1954. The first amendment is very clear about the separation of state and church. I personally, like the first version way better; ""I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Free of any religious non sense.

    • @DonB.-Mulefivefive
      @DonB.-Mulefivefive 8 лет назад +1

      MalakianM2S That's almost humorous > More so when you think back to the two primary principles upon which, this nation was founded. 1) The freedom to practice and follow any faith or religion you so desired, ( the Pilgrims were being actively hunted down by the then church of England ) and 2) the ability to own the property upon which you could own , ( In England at the time of 1620 and before, any land you were on was actually owned by the Crown which rendered your presence on that piece of dirt nil and meaningless. If the Crown came along and forced you off of it, you really had no choice but to leave or , die. ) . In this nation, the clause ...Under God ....really does has an application. Be it non-sense to you or anyone else who has forgotten the real reason why the Pilgrims, and the rest who came after , the mainstay of why we're still a nation. As a nation under Gods laws, we've seen a steady erosion of this very founding item we seemingly have all forgotten about. I guess that's not taught in schools anywhere these days. With SCOTUS making the division even more clear and tossing off to one side the founding fathers principle of this nation being here, we may as well begin to pack our respective bags and give it back to those who we persecuted for so long and go back to the dark ages. Your statement of "non-sense", while you may hold it near and dear, it does hold more weight than most even realize. We've corrupted our selves by taking that which we were founded on for granted. That alone, and the other side issues will , in time, put us just about where we belong. At the bottom of the heap.

      Sometimes you don't know how people will react. Even if they invite you to eat. If you don't eat much they might think you think the food is bad or its not good enough for you. But if you get what looks like a lot of food they might think you're there just to stuff your face and leave nothing for everybody else.

    Not many families nowadays sit down together at a dinner table with no technology distractions. It should be a time to appreciate your food given to you and converse with your close ones.
    However some people don't have a table and I get that, but even so you don't need a TV or phones turned on nearby. 15-30mins is all it takes.

    This scene always made me tear up/cry & feel so hurt. It’s such a powerful scene & so hurting also. It’s just something about him, the way it was done this shot.. That made u wanna just hug him, feed them & tell him “Michael everything will be alright” and cry while telling him. I just watched 59 secs of this clip & already got major emotional.. It’s more sad & hurtful knowing that this is a true story.

    This country needs God more than anything else. Our country " was founded on Gods grace"... Our Fathers & Grandfathers & Great Grandfathers help make this country. An now it's nothing but... I pray that we get to do what we want. Everyday. Family should be priority in our lives. But putting God first is the most important. It's a choice we have to be religious. By Gods grace. So all you haters keep on. But I bet when your time comes, you will understand what that means.
