    Dentists don’t say this before treatment. However, retainers have a side benefit in that they protects your teeth from grinding together whilst you sleep. They’re not too bad to deal with once you think of them like that.

      My dentist told me to wear retainer only for a year...and now after a year without retainers I have started having gaps and slight teeth protruding like before😭

    I feel changes all around my face, my gums, my jawline, my cheeks, even my nose. My mouth wants to pucker up or frown but I keep reminding myself to smile. Throughout the day I find some relief when I massage my cheeks & jawline. I rub or massage my nose but I don't find relief there. The first 3 days were the worst. On my 18th day now. Still so much discomfort. I get some relief while sleeping.

    my teeth moved way before the Invisalign treatment. I could actually feel it. Retainer is great to prevent damage to teeth due to grinding. Just make sure you brush and floss teeth prior to placing a retainer.

    The same happen to me. I had braces when I was a teen, and I had a beautiful smile and good mouth bite until I was about 40-50 that I start noticing that my bottom teeth was starting to get crooked again. I’m in the middle 50’s and I’m now I have to use alligners because the bottom teeth got so bad that It was hard to floss the area.

    I had braces for 7 years.
    I'm 58 and they have hardly moved at all.
    I wore the retainers for about 8 months until I threw them out because I wràpped them up in a tissue and stuck them in my pocket. Oops. My Mom kicked my butt. Lol

    So my upper gap moves within 30 mins of removing my retainer every morning so it’s painful putting them back on at night? Is that normal for teeth to shift so quickly

    But if teeth do move that slowly, then surely by that logic you wouldn’t have to wear retainers every night. Maybe a couple times a week

    • @0741921
      @0741921 9 месяцев назад

      It's a precaution. Since you can't keep track of tracl of shift, they make it simple and say every night. But depending on each person, you might be fine with every few days too

  • @romavictor5252

    It's a waste of time and means it takes longer, as much as double the time than regular braces plus it costs more than regular.
