How the hell do some of y'all not have pain. I'm 2 days in and I wanna say forget it 🙃🙃🙃. I also can't handle pain so this is extremely hard for me. And I hate the lisp and spit🤣.Thank you for the tips!
Honestly the first week wearing Invisalign was the worst week for me. It gets better!! I also thought I wouldn’t make it past the first couple of days lol.
@@brusselsnerd what helps me with the lisp is talking A LOT whenever I switch to a new tray or I'll just read a book out loud. After a few hours, the lisp goes away!
Same! I just got my first tray yesterday and it hurts. It feels fine right when I put it on but then the pain comes back, It actually doesn’t feel as bad if I clean them with cold water and maybe put ice in a cloth and place them on top of it for a second it numbs the pain
Thank you for this video! I stumbled it on my feed. This is my 4th day on Invisalign and I must say it does get better daily. I struggle with removing my bottom trays and I ordered the pull gadget from Amazon and that amazing. You do have to be careful when you start to pull as you don’t want any damage on you gum line or to the trays. I love my pull gadget as it has a chewy attached to it already. I haven’t been out and about yet like restaurants while in Invisalign-so this video tips is absolutely a great idea.
Hey everyone! A massive tip I have for pain is to get acupuncture in your face, especially your massater muscles. That might be where most of the pain is coming from. I had severe pain with my first aligners, dentist made me take a 5 week break and encouraged me to have my acupuncture in my jaw, and after a few sessions of acupuncture got my aligners back in and literally no pain. Just general tightness for 2 days.
Omg got my Invisalign today and on my top row tray on my front teeth the top of it it’s soo sharp and is cutting my inner lip, when I take it out I’m gonna lightly file it Becusss it’s slicing!
I just started my first tray yesterday and mine doesn't cut into my gum, but the deep, dull ache i have is awful! I just want to yank them out! Hopefully it's gotten better for you.
Hi, Carmen! Thanks so much for such very helpful tips!! I've been reading everything I can before my liners arrive, and I also have the dentist's recommendations. You have some very creative, helpful ideas, and YOU look really beautiful!
Got mine yesterday. Bottom only. No pain in my mouth, just weird little headache. I have a space where a tooth is missing. Maybe that’s why no pain. If you’re in Rhode Island. The Dr.’s Barone are great. N. Prov and Greenville offices. I’m 68 yrs. We are getting brand new not old.
20-22 hours so that’s gives you 4 hours to eat that’s a looot of time. But I would say that it makes me snack less cause I don’t wanna go through the hustle of cleaning 😂
Today I start my tray #3 and in 2weeks change to tray #4 hopefully all goes well. But this hurts a lot. With the first trays the first couple days after were the hardest…but I have like 10 more months so will be a long journey.
Hey, I started watching your videos and I love them, I’m almost all caught up. You and your husband are so down to earth and laid back. Could you please make a video about how much Invisalign cost you?
That’s so sweet, thank you!! & Invisalign cost me about $6500 for a year of treatment. It honestly varies depending on where you live & where you go. I’ve always heard it can range from 4K-8K.
I’m in number 24 rn I’ve never had a lisp while on a new tray I dont life putting my tray in right after I eat I like to sit for abt 5 mins for the food to get out of my teeth so I don’t have ti brush my teeth
I just got Invisalign yesterday! This is a weird question, but I used to have high self esteem about my looks. But now that I have to wear these retainers basically 24/7, I don’t have high self esteem anymore. With my lisp, the retainers making it awkward for me to smile, the uncomfortableness, and how gross they can be; I feel ugly :( I know it’s a silly question but is there a tip or hack you’ve found to deal with having these feelings with Invisalign? I also have these “buttons” on my teeth, so that doesn’t help either lol.
Hi Ryan! I just got mine 2 days ago and I realized there were many things about these braces I didn’t know - like they aren’t completely invisible! Ha. But, think of how much better you will feel about yourself when your treatment is done and your teeth look great! Be glad you didn’t have to go through the metal and wire braces - believe me these were much more traumatic (had them as a teen and failed to use my retainers - thus having to do this again!). I’m certain you notice them more than anyone else would, and if you just got them you still probably have a bit of that funny ‘lisp’ that comes with having a new appliance in your mouth. I hardly notice mine after just a couple of days of use. I don’t know how old you are but believe me, once it’s all over and you have nice straight teeth, you’ll feel fantastic! Good luck to you and keep your head held high! : )6
So sorry for the delayed response, just saw this comment. But to answer your question, what is helping me get through this Invisalign process is reminding myself why I got them in the first place. Even though having aligners in is hella uncomfortable, I know that the end result will be worth it. & honestly the first month of having Invisalign is the WORST. But I’m on month 6 & my teeth have gotten used to the trays. There’s hardly any pain & my initial lisp has gone away. Hang in there, I promise, the process will get better & by the end of your Invisalign journey, you’ll be glad you stuck it out. Oh & use your chewies!! They help your trays sit on your teeth perfectly ensuring your teeth actually move & they also help with any discomfort.
It’s not an ad & I’ve read the risks on using charcoal, they’re very minimal. Unless you use large quantities on it on your teeth which I don’t. Plus, they have other products that don’t have charcoal which I also use. I love Hello products because they’re vegan & cruelty free, way better than Crest or Colgate, in my opinion.
