I’m looking at getting an embroidery machine and I’m very interested in the software side of embroidery. Also for cosplay what size hoop do you recommend? I don’t even know what baseline to look at

So for the hoop size, the largest that you can get for the machine you’re using will be the best. Each machine brand will have different sizes so I can’t speak for specific sizes, but on both my machines I use the largest hoop more than the smaller hoop. For software, I personally use Floriani Total Control U there are quite a few options out there but all software is expensive, there’s no getting around that.

I wish I had this video when I first got my embroidery machine! I have a single needle machine and I foolishly tried to embroider with metallic threads and no stabilizer so it was A MESS but we have learned since then!
