i love how you added the xhosa caption at the end. i am glad ethiopia is positioning itself strategically as the transportation hub of the continent making solid use of its geographical location, they have become immensely successful in a matter of year and i hope they continue to develop.
Ethiopian is for sure the king of African airline!! in 2024 they will receive another new two a350-900 and four a350-1000 a total of 6 a350 series and 21 737 max 10 aircrafts that will make their aircraft to grow to 160+.
11:00...That is one very small beverage for an international flight, however it is nice to see the actual meal is looks very delicious. Thumbs up for Ethiopian airlines.👍 😋
Nice to meet you, thank you very much. You flew on the A350. I'm glad I was able to get a good seat again. The view from the window looked good. I think the in-flight meal was pretty good too. Thank you for your continued support. My videos are not very good, but I would appreciate it if you could watch them when you have free time.
I’m Ethiopian and this is bull. The airport is modern but overcrowded. A new “airport city” which will be larger than London Heathrow is in the pipeline though.
Thank you for this trip report. I have always been a bit nervous about Bole Airport but it seems much better now. I would fly with Ethiopian in the future. Beautiful view of the airport and the city in the background just after take-off.
Hey David,Felix and Simon been your fan since last 4 or 5 yrs. Just include a bit of plane spotting with arrival of it and departure info along with it. Thanks
Great Airline, has huge potential. Reluctantly tried them for the first time on 29th Sep 23. Misplacing luggage seems to be a trend, be cautious about this.
And yeah, Ethiopian has unveiled their 1st A350-1000 aircraft from 3 months ago - another first for Africa. Algeria’s Air Algerie and Egypt’s EgyptAir should be watched out later as they ordered A350-1000s too.
You should really cover the oceanic airlines like Aircalin and Fiji Airways on your upcoming videos. Also, please cover Bonza. I’ve heard from many people that they are really good. 💜🤍
The food itself in the meal service looked decent enough, but the dish with the dessert in it seemed to have a long crack in the corner. Plus it looked like there was a chunk missing out of the tray it was all served on. This is a big potential safety issue! Staff or passengers could cut themselves on sharp edges, broken bits of dishes can end up in the food, and cracks like the one in the dessert bowl can harbor bacteria.
I am travelling with Ethiopian Airlines in 2 weeks. Do I need a transit visa as a South African passport holder? My layover is only 2 hours. I looked on their visa website and it said I don't need it as long as I stay in the transit area for not more than 8-12 hours I think. Is this accurate?
I've flown before on Ethiopian airlines and I was not impressed the cabin crew were not friendly the service was poor. I'm only grateful for the takeoff and landing other than that I would seriously look at other options
If you want to go with ethiopian airlines you want to keep extra luggage in your hand like dress daily use because you will never get baggage on the same flight when you land . A few days after you will get it. You will lose your connection flight money and time I traveled two times by international flights but I received baggage after 4 days
it seems that airline pilot has not arming flaps to 30 for landing the plane, if is this case then it is not safe to land the plane with that configuration of flap setting.
How did you bear that couscous salad? Had it a few times and it remains bad on Ethiopian Airlines. They could really improve their catering game as they improve infrastructure
Flying with Ethiopian Airlines in Economy or Business on African routes is always a mixed-bag. I've had some great flights & some outright shockers. My last one was interesting as the galley crew allowed passengers to move to the emergency exit seats after take-off even though emergency exit seats shouldn't be offered to passengers unless they pay for it at check-in, the gate or onboard; on Emirates or Qatar, you cannot arbitrarily move to an exit seat.
there always needs to be passengers on a exit row in case of an emergency. i flew in covid when planes had 6 passengers and they always moved passengers to an exit row
They re '' bleeding out '' the speed since it s flying so fast at cruise altitude. To expedite their descend they need to slow down first otherwise it will overspeed.
I flew Ethiopian Airlines Gaborone - Addis Ababa - Heathrow ( economy ) The Gaborone Addis Ababa flight ( 5 hrs ) no entertainment and easily the worst in flight food I have ever had. Chicken and rice which felt like it had come straight from the fridge.Addis Ababa was not much better. For three days after flight was very sick with food poisoning. What I can say is the cabin crew were friendly though on The Gaborone Addis Ababa leg after serving passengers they sat in the business class seats and slept. Flight was 11 December 2023 I know it’s economy class but really? Having flown economy Emirates there is just no comparison.
I was on Ethiopian from Lusaka to Manchester via Addis five months ago .I still remember the best coffee I've ever taken hot without sugar.
I always ask for two coffees
i love how you added the xhosa caption at the end.

I remember watching an Ethiopian Airlines A350 Documentary on their A350
Great flight. One of many airlines who maximizing Sixth freedom of flight.

In October 2023, I flew from Moscow to Dakar with a transfer in Addis Ababa. Great airport and airline)
Awesome job Felix! The a350 is one of my favorite planes.
Smooth landing as usual. Nice flight review.
I usually see these planes flying over my rural home in Nyahururu, Kenya
What a beautiful descent into Cape Town!
Ethiopian is the largest airline in Africa. It has a huge range of destinations, including Europe.
I remember seeing one of their planes land in Soekarno Hatta International. It was a pretty odd yet cool sight to see.
Even to Shanghai
And America !
Sure.
Toronto!

No way
Cape town..my city!!!🎉
WOW 6 HRS? I ALWAYS THOUGHT AFRICA WAS SMALL UNTIL I BECAME A GEOGRAPHY NERD BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS 4
It’s bc in the world geography map Africa has smaller proportion with a deliberate intention.
You can fit Europe, USA, South America, India and China in Africa. Just my country Ethiopia is 4 times larger than Germany.
Fantastic trip report as always Felix!😸
Perfect Video, Great footage have a safe trip
Lets go simply aviation again!!!

I always like to go on Korean airways
Do you have a list of your top 10 airliners based on safety, service, quality, price etc...

If you are on a budget, fly Ethiopian but if you can afford, fly the pride of Africa...Kenya airways
Ethiopian provide better service than KQ with lower price
Just continue enjoying the madness at bole airport, KQ does not operate the dangerous 737max aircraft
@@m.y.m401 Kenya airways doesn't fly 737max, you know why
Please you fligt Mogadishu with flydubai

I moved to an exit row seat after take off on Qatar last week long haul Doha to Sydney. No problems at all.
I find it interesting that Addis Ababa airport has Chinese on its signs 😄
