For the development of Bangladesh, it is important to keep at least six aircraft of US - Bangla Airlines at Sylhet Airport and operate flights with Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Remember that Sylheti people prefer to avoid Dhaka Airport for many valid reasons

As an American I to was naturally curious.... And the web knows all.
After hunting it down it turns out that the parent company is a joint venture between investors in both Bangladesh and the United States, so yes the US does stand for United States.
