  • Today I’m flying on Africa’s largest airline for the very first time.
Ethiopian Airlines currently operates an 141 aircraft modern fleet throughout
    a vast international network.
Dubai is one of their busiest route and allows many African expats and visitors in the UAE to comfortably and affordably fly in and out.
I’m flying on one of their 4 B777-300ER’s that’s reserved for the highest density routes.
And I promise you that there are some interesting things to see, such as a thrust reverser malfunction!
Come and join me to experience a flight on this fast growing airline and to see what product they offer.
    Enjoy!
Today we are showcasing you the following flight:
From: Addis Ababa Bole International Airport
To: Dubai International Airport, The United Arab Emirates
    Flight Number: ET602
    Aircraft Type: Boeing B777-300ER
    Registration: ET-APX
    Flight Time: 03:47
Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed our video!
Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion and feedback.
    Have a nice one!
You can also leave a Super Like as a tip for my work. I’ll invest it all on future trips.

I had a bunch of frequent flier points - aka Eurobonus with SAS - and 2 trips coming up this winter, first from ARN to DXB and secondly ARN - BOM, but I hadn't enough points for both trips. ET had availability to DXB via ADD. To Mumbai I found availibility with LH outbound, ARN-MUC-BOM with LH (boring, but good) and back again BOM-LHR-ARN with AI (and SAS last leg). Remembering how good of a service and food you got on your AI flight review, I ended up chosing LH/AI for the frequent flier trip and given this review I'm even more happy with my choice. :) It didn't hurt flying EK to Dubai either! :D Thanks for a great review, as always!

Does the plane take off with lots of fuel but a reduced payload? It’s a very long story.. I do quite a lot. But quickly resumed, I lead a team of people in a major hospitality and travel company. I was going to stay in San Francisco but I managed to do everything in a morning so I went straight back and skipped my hotel stay, as I very much prefer sleeping at home whenever I can.
And the flight back was waaaaay longer! I flew from San Fran to Paris and Paris to Dubai. All direct flights had departed and I would have to wait another day 😅

Were any of the options Ethiopian? Also, considering many Ethiopians are vegan, I'm surprised no vegan options were offered.

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  Год назад +1

Vegan meals have to be requested in most airlines, so I think it’s the same case on Ethiopian.
And meal wise, nothing I noticed as being Ethiopian. But in Business Class there is!

I must admit have never had a wine straight from the bottle. That’s weird that they have no plastic cups, maybe they are trying to save weight by not having them.

You pretend to be a knowledgeable person.
If you want to know the incomparable quality of Ethiopian airlines, just compare the fleet age of so called major airlines and ask the reason why Delta Airline is performing well, it is due to them hiring the former CEO of Ethiopian Airlines as a senior advisor!
Go deeper and be amazed that it is an Ethiopian scientist at NASA who has invented an instrument that would discover water on moon(leave alone us being the best in aviation).
Do you also know that ET is the most profitable airlines in the world?
Before you do reviews and post, go and learn more; it doesn't hurt!
