- Welcome everyone to a new video on Emirates, this time on the popular Mumbai-Dubai route on the Boeing 777-300ER!
We’re flying on the A6-EBK, currently the oldest B777 in the Emirates fleet. This aircraft is equipped with the same cabin that revolutionized air travel in the mid 2000’s. While some might see it as an “old” cabin, I see it as a flying piece of history -land thoroughly enjoyed it. This was the aircraft that I had my first flight ever to Dubai from Paris CDG back in 2008 and I fell so in love with the airline and city that I ended up moving there!
Join me to see just how much Emirates offers to the Indian customers and visitors to the subcontinent. It’s a personalized service adapted to the preferences of the area, from meals to entertainment.
I wish you much watch pleasure and look forward to read your thoughts in the comments!
Enjoy!
Today we are showcasing you the following flight:
From: Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
To: Dubai International Airport, Dubai, the United Arab Emirates
Flight Number: EK 507
Aircraft Type: Boeing 777-300ER
Registration: A6-EBK
Flight Time: 02:48
Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed our video!
Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion and feedback.
Have a nice one!
You can also leave a Super Like as a tip for my work. I’ll invest it all on future trips.

I’ve flow to Mumbai in EK500. The A380 is amazing to fly even on short haul routes!🔥
Another awesome video! I flew the same exact flight (EK507) last winter on A6-EBU. That evening landing in dubai was just 👏
It’s a perfect timing indeed! I hope you enjoyed your flight!
It's an amazing flight. Sadly I haven't gone in the last 6 years with Emirates. Only Air India. But it is my national airline so I respect it.
That’s ok, Air India is nice too! I like how they serve hot meals on short flights too, far better then any western airline!
1:18 I'm British-Indian, and I usually travel to India with my parents every three-four years during summer holidays. Whenever we travel, my parents arrive at the airport four-five hours before departure. I'm not sure if that's just my family, but I think it's probably a common trait among many Indian families, haha.
It seems to be an old habit to ensure nobody misses the flight. I kind of understand, many might have hours and hours of travel behind them from a village. But anyway, I hope you like airports! 😂
Emirates will always be the best. And the way you represented each and every single thing was perfect, till the last minute. I was literally watching it like a movie, without skipping.
Thanks a lot for watching and the nice comment!
Emirates still has room to improve, but you can clearly see that they do a lot for their customers and their traditions. I love that about them.
Amul butter is the best. These routes are definitely profitable for these airlines. Love the fact that you love Indian food. Looking at it makes my mouth water.
It’s funny how they serve Amul on Indian flights and the Danish butter everywhere else. It shows attention to detail as it is likely Indian people will be more attached to that.
These routes are a goldmine! That’s why I don’t understand why Air India hasn’t stepped it up yet as there is so much money to be made
Emirates rocks! ❤
It was a great flight. Good to see you around again!
Emirates is certainly the best from India! Sadly I'm going on Etihad A320 in economy and that's why I was requesting a video on it. Great video again!
Why sadly, Etihad is great! The only thing on the A320 is that you need to remember to bring your tabled/phone to watch the entertainment. Everything else is great!
I just ❤ Emirates always flying with trem And nener disapoint you ! Best Arline in The world !
Glad you enjoy them so much! They’re great indeed, specially on these short flights.
Emirates Have A Good Economy Class Product.Great Trip Report
An excellent product indeed, specially for flights of this length. Lovely to see you around Gunvald!
i flew in A6-EBR FROM DELHI TO DUBAI nice experience and came back in AI's 787-8 dreamliner VT-ANC
I like both experiences!
Emirates Never Disappoint Their Customer
Thats why They say FLY BETTER FLY Emirates Lots Of Love From BHOPAL MADHYA PRADESH INDIA Cannot Wait For Your Next Video
Emirates is my comfort airline that I can trust to fly me home and back.
And I really like how they adapt to each country they fly to.
Next video is in the making 😀
Another stunning report Alex!! I’m planning to go to India on emirates this summer so I’m excited 😁😁
Wlcum in advance😂😂😊
Thanks buddy! I’m sure you’ll have a great flight. As of October Emirates should be sending the latest A380’s with Premium Economy to BOM and BLR, so it will be worth to try that out!
they already have an a380 from bombay to dubai ek 501 ist 430 am
@@TheLayoverAviation
I love emirates indian food, its delicious! Whenever i fly EK i now only order the Indian Vegetarian Meal.
Great trip report!
Those meals are the best! It tastes way better in the air vs a boring chicken with mashed potato. You are a wise person!
My favorit airline ❤ Going to Alicante in 11 days😊
Alicante, nice! I hope it’s still beach weather by the time you go! Have a lovely trip and enjoy!
I FLEW THIS PLANE FROM LAHORE TO DUBAI ON EK623 ON JULY 30 2023
So nice to think we shared the same plane, small world 😊
@1:54 one of the best butters in the world. Here in Canada they charge $25-30 for a block of Amul Butter and some of us crazy Indians buy it too.
That is insane pricing!!! I think it’s mostly the nostalgia. I also pay a hefty price for some of the Spanish cravings I might have.
But wow, $25 bucks is a lot! More then my handmade French salted butter ❤️
Good job,bring more please.
Much more coming! 😃
India's unofficial flag-carrier, I like that 😄
🤣
You're so lucky to have flown that!
Any aircraft is good for me! 😛
I am following you from Cyprus, keep up the excellent work, and please know that your efforts are making a positive impact on aviation enthusiasts like myself. Whether you re discussing the latest aircraft technology, sharing your flying experiences, or adding a touch of humor to the aviation world , your content is always a joy to watch
Who remembers or flown on emirates A330. The seats were comfortable, the IFE didn't have good selections, the legroom was tight in economy. It was there in the fleet from 1999-2016.
Beautiful plane!!
I love it too 💗
I Love Emirates 🇮🇳🇦🇪❤
Amul butter is actually white butter with yellow colour added. There are three main brands of butter at the national level in India (with countless regional ones), Amul, Britannia and Mother Dairy. Britannia and Mother Dairy are natural yellow butter made with cow milk while Amul butter is made with mixed buffalo and cow milk (higher buffalo milk component) and has yellow colour added. Decades ago, Amul was the only major brand of butter (as most butter consumed in India was homemade) in India and started adding yellow colour to imitate western butter (which is yellow because made with cow milk). This is because on the whole, buffallo milk was the default in India (especially northern India, with cow milk being sold separately) and the colour of butter for most Indians was (and still is to some extent) white. Amul butter was specifically called "yellow butter". After mid 90s, with economic liberalization, things changed. But Amul still adds yellow colour (as mentioned on the pack) to make white butter yellow.
Love the history 😂.
As expected another good trip report from you
Thanks a lot buddy!
love your videos brooo , pls keep posting international flights from mumbai i love them since im from Mumbai :)
Many more coming!!! I visit often. Next flight to Mumbai is next week from London!
Emirates!!! ❤
Buddy you’re again amongst the first!
Wow, that IFE is SUPER old, especially for an high quality airline like Emirates. The food looks so good though.
awesome bro
Thanks a lot!
I wish I knew that you were here in Mumbai. I would've loved to meet you!
I visit quite often but I only stay a short time for work.. As I live in Dubai I try to fly back as quickly as possible.
Emirates is just amazing
They are ❤️
Fantastic food service and fantastic video.
Thanks a lot buddy! Glad you liked it1
❤❤❤My favourite airline Emirates. Very nice service all about it . ❤❤❤
keep up the good work my man!!!
Thanks my friend!!
@@TheLayoverAviation your welcome brother!
actually many Indians follow the rules very strictly when it comes to airtravel (that passenger should report 2hrs prior to the flight time) and above that, many love to explore airport as it feels really nice place to hang out ( apart from normal hangout spots)
I noticed that! Rules are strictly followed by most except by me 😂
I would end up spending half of my life at airports if I did..
@@TheLayoverAviation Just Geeking Out on Aviation 💯❤️. Really helps to disconnect from the ratrace and also feeds the desire to chase the travel and exploration dream. My trip starts from the day I book tickets 😅
Amazing video, as always..keep it up 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Would also love to see the A380-800 flight from mumbai to dubai too 🙂
The flight on the EK A380 is filmed, just has to be edited and published! But it was great!
@TheLayoverAviation Great...Really excited to watch it too.
Love your vids..❤
Us Indians take coming to the airport early way too seriously haha. I mean in the past, it wasn't the convenient experience that you get these days. Especially if you've seen the old Mumbai airport before 2014. Loads of things could go wrong. Sometimes you don't want to come that early but anticipate so much traffic that you end up being early when the roads are clear.
Especially if someone is being sent off and the entire family is there to see them off, its chaos haha.
"Do you have your tickets, passports with you??"
"What if X,Y,Z happens? You need more time if something happens!"
"Quick, lets leave! We have to get there 3 hours before because the airline says so!"
Its not too bad haha. Maybe because many Indian's still don't travel that frequently or have all airport processes figured out (things that could go wrong here i.e). So its the uncertainty that drives us to the airport early.
And OMG that Old IFE screen still exists! I used to fly EK a lot when I used to live in Dubai, especially in the early to mid 2000s and I remember that remote control haha! Back then they used to give us these huge yellow trays/boxes with kids merch/toys inside branded with the EK logo. Fun days. We regularly travelled between DXB and BOM (this was the time when even CX served the route and we enjoyed their service from time to time as well) then. Sadly almost time for my family to leave Dubai after 2.5 decades there but the transition has been stunning for EK and the aviation scene at DXB.
I love your comment! I totally get it and I assumed that being early is due to historical reasons. But now it’s all so much easier..
I flew with Swiss from DEL the other day and the counter was packed even before it was opened! So funny. Better early then late 👍
And yes, that IFE exists but not for long. I guess these planes will be gone by 2024.
Cathay to BOM, I remember.. And yes, the piles of toys. There was even a whole box that came with the child meal.. It was too much food for kids. But that’s gone now.
Thanks for writing!! A piece of history!
My fav aircraft, my fav aviation channel lets go!!❤🎉
Hope you enjoyed! Much more B777 coming!
try visiting the T2 at bengaluru international airport. Its fabulous.youll love it.
Again great review Alex...if possible next time try the Emirates A380 to either BOM,BLR...
Thanks a lot my friend! I have already filmed the A380 from BLR and the A380 to BOM is coming up soon, but it’s filmed!
Nice I flew IndiGo from Calicut to dubai and I had a layover at Mumbai
"Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj".....a tongue twister for me. The slums next to the runway are definitely a bird hazard. They ought to be demolished and the inhabitants settled elsewhere. Good old VHS quality. I watched 90 per cent of James Bond movies, Rambo, Terminator, Delta Force, Police Academy and several other eighties movies on VHS, so, that technology has a special place in my heart. Thanks for the video.
Brilliant as always. Please could you remind me the best sweet treats to purchase for cabin crew. I think it's an A320, but not sure how many crew. Thank you 🤩
It’s so sweet of you to bring something! A small box of chocolates, like Ferrero or so will do. Best to buy in the supermarkets as it’s cheaper.
On an A320 they are anywhere from 6 to 8 in total (including pilots). Not more for sure!
Have a great flight and enjoy!
I love your intro music good beat got me bobbing my head but I also love the video
Best Indian food in the Air in general, is on Emirates. Best southern Indian food specifically, is on Singapore.
Indian carriers, even at their peak, never go beyond chicken and paneer. They cater to middle class Indians with no sense of food adventure.
I’ve noticed that the food changes on Emirates depending on the destination in India. I’ve gotten mostly fish or seafood when flying to coastal towns.
I’ve had Indian food yesterday on SQ from BOM. I’ll show it soon!
As usual, wunderbar😊🎉.
Danke my friend!! Thank for being here!
@1:20 because Indians have that fear of getting stuck in traffic and missing their flights which is why we always plan ahead. Plus we have lots of family and relatives to see us off so we need that extra time to meet everyone properly. Lol!!
I kind of get it. Specially if you fly from a town further away.
I was close to missing my flight in Delhi some weeks ago as I underestimated customs lines at the time. Had to cheat and go via the special line for people with disabilities so I wouldn’t miss my flight 😞
I KNEWKT WAS THE 777 BY THE THUMBNAIL
Well observed! Beautiful plane!
Am flying in it on 16th july the B-777300ER
Brought my coffee and start watching
😂❤Best way to wake up to 😂Best Trip Report waiting 😂 Always happy when you have so much seats to yourself😂😂.Yup wing always best n just love your indian meal😂..Great video always❤😂.
Just woke up? Here it’s already late evening 😊
I’m also happy about the seats. It was a family of 5 that didn’t show up so I had them all for me. Thanks for writing Donna, I wish you a lovely week! 😃
YOU ARS TOO MUCH FUN .WISHING YOU ALWAYS A GREAT EVERYTHING😀❤
So funny now woke up haha .We are 8hrs. apart. Know Dubai timing for sure because my son n family spend a wk. there😀
I follow the 3 hour rule always.....never had a chance to get bumped off from a flight 😂 😂 😂
Hahahha good for you! I only do that if I want to hang out in a nice lounge, but very rarely.. I only missed one flight ever due to traffic.
Thanks for writing!
great video!
G90 is da best out there:D
omg that food.. looks yummy as hell
haha and that old-school screen, i thought only El Al 777 has it, funny!
happy flying buddy!
Always good bro🎉,
Would also love to see AI B777-300ER from BOM/DEL to JKF🙂❤️
That is such a long trip and not in my way! But who knows some day..

I hope you had a lovely flight!
Great flight report 👍
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Always a pleasure to watch your video’s
Enjoyed very much the video. I just subscribed. May I ask what kind of camera did you use to shoot this video ?
Once again thank you for your efforts.
Hey there! Thanks for joining the club! I use my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Reliable and good quality!
Enjoy the content!
Food looked incredible for economy. With the one-way flight cost at $150 was that in US dollars?
Yes! and now I am flying between Hong Kong and London via Doha for 380$!
0/10 my friend! So professional and consistent! I was on the EBK some time ago from AKL to DPS! Food wise...yeah suffering again! 🤣 I have made it a tradition that when your new video comes out I pour myself a nice Campo Vieja (Rijoa) and sit down and enjoy! Otravez, muy bien amigo! SAFE AND SOUND!👌💯
I forgot that flight from AKL to DPS.. I was just today thinking how so many routes from the EK network are missing and I overlooked that one!
Glad you drink the Campo Viejo, I actually have a story with that.. When I was 20 I was madly in love with a Polish girl who always would pour herself a glass of that after work and share it with me. That was my introduction to wine, so my passion now all comes from many bottles of Campo Viejo 😛
Enjoy and much more coming! Have a great one my friend!
Fantastic video as usual! It is great to see that Mumbai has electronic immigration counters. In India, most airports have manual immigration and usually only about 20% are staffed at a time, even during peak hours (i am talking about Delhi, its my base airport) and Immigration and security can take up to 1.5 hrs. Hence we do not take any risk and report at the airport early (also because of shopping and planespotting) What are we getting for the next video?
Please travel on India because I like Indian flights ❤
He has a lot of Indian videos. Almost all Indian airlines IndiGo, Air India and even the all new Akasa Air.
@@aviationdesigner0016 Okey but mostly 15 Indian videos are there on this channel

Bhaiyya ismein jaate hi India ki flight se hate rate increase ho Jayega 😂
Fantastic video man! Liked!
the sevice was nice and the food was very average bcoz our flight got delayed for 4.5 hr soo the food went prob bad
I doubt the food was 4 hours outside of a chiller, they take food hygiene very serious!
Excellent video!
I am however very curious about how do you exactly know which airplane is heading to where, even when the planes are at the gates or on the taxiway? Do you use any app for it? Help me with my curiosity :)
Yes, the app is called flight radar!
Hey Alejandro, nice video it was definetly an Indian touch thats siimilar to our A330’s but can u plz post the QR A330 video if u flew it on Economy class
Hey buddy! I’ve flown the A330 in Economy but don’t have a video on it.. There is a video here somewhere of that plane in Business though.
I’m flying QR a couple of times next week but not A330. I’ll try to post something soon!
When are you coming to Australia to review our airplanes ✈️.
I knoooow I would love to, but work doesn’t take me there and it’s just so far for me to go to on my time off as I’ve got my family here.. But I’ll keep trying!
Yea whenever we travel in India mostly our parents want to reach as early as 5 hours early because they think we can miss the flight and what if there an hour long traffic and endless reasons🤣🤣
That is funny! I understand. The opposite for me, I’m always there 15 min before check in closure 😆
@@TheLayoverAviation In Mumbai the terminal one always has very less amount of people most times but the terminal 2 can be exhausting sometimes and specially for Air india Domestic
The Mumbai traffic speaks for itself and if someone lives in Navi Mumbai then they always have to leave their homes atleast 5-6 hours before departure.
as usual i like the engine sound
Perfect.
Thanks my friend, glad to see you around again!
Please do a Virgin Atlantic A350 video
I’m flying Virgin Atlantic in 4 days but on the B787-9!
@@TheLayoverAviation looking forward to that
Fun fact: EK stands for Emirates Karachi to notify the first EK flight 600.
That is true! I’ll actually make some day an episode with EK to Karachi and go through the history! 😀
Nice trip Chief...thanks
Thanks Alex for another great report 😄👍🏼
Overigens, heb je wel eens op het kanaal van FlyWithABeer gekeken? Die imiteert jou volledig….
Bedankt Maarten!!!
I wished Emirates would use their A380 on the flight.
They do, but the early morning one. They’re limited by seats so they can’t fly more A380’s there. Indian Government doesn’t want them to.
Great flight report ... as usual 🥃 The meal looked amazing considering how short the flight was, I still can't get my head around how close everything is to Dubai, for me a flight from Melbourne to Perth is still 4 hours+, and the service on Emirates is amazing, on our so called Flying Kangaroo, you're lucky to get a sandwich these days ... you need to use The Office, they hand you a styrofoam cup marked "Occupado" ... 😂 The sad state of flying within Australia and outside of it with our national carriers makes me sad when I see such wonderful service on MANY other airlines. Again, thanks ... and cheers 🥂
Plz come to kerala india
I hope to do so!
I wonder when would you fly to Patna? Make a video about it!
EK always send old aircrafts to India routes
I’ve flown very new aircraft too..
Keep in mind that the flight is very short so it doesn’t really matter much, it’s still better then reclining seats in Business.
From October they will fly the newest 4 class A380’s to BOM and BLR.
I am your very recent subscriber. Honestly speaking, I am very impressed by the way how you neatly present your report!
The plane which you flew brought back so many memories of my journey with Emirates! 🥹🥹
Welcome to the club and a big thanks for joining!
I am happy you like it so far. I love to share the world through my eyes to others that enjoy aviation as much as I do.
Have a lot of watch fun and see you around!
@@TheLayoverAviation thank you so much for your beautiful reply 😃
Oh, I thought Emirates had completely scrapped that old IFE system, cos on my last 2 flights on EK to India, it was the updated one.
first
Nice coverage
The J class seats on these old 77Ws are not lie flat, angled to almost lie flat. I dont know what was the hesitance of Emirates for not using the same seats as the 388s when they were refurbished.
Yes they’re angled flat indeed.
There was a reason to the B777 not having the same Business Class, I was told once some years ago but forgot the exact reason. It was something else besides the cabin being larger vs the A380 upper deck.
The same reason why the A380’s will never get the fully enclosed game changer suite.
Take the longest route available pls
I don’t have so much time.. Hopefully one day.
Dear LayOver Aviation, can you please do a video on SpiceJet a fledging Indian carrier we dont know which way is going ?
1:18 2 things
1. It's mostly the uncles and aunties.
2. It's because there can be unexpected delays at times, so Indians who value money a lot go "better early af than loss"
I think you must make a review of flynas
Most everyone seems to be going to Dubai
It’s the place to be 😎
Who loves the intro 👉
It’’s the most fun part to make 😊
👍👍
Fly from Bangalore T2
I will next year!
10/10 of course! Apologies!!
Thanks Flip! I’ll take that 😎
hurts to see foreign airline take away sooooo much business from indian airlines. they really need to step up
And they are stepping up, I’ll share a great flight on Air India soon!
❤❤❤
Food in Emirates economy is better than J class on US carriers 😂
I keep telling people that in US, Europe and Australia we’re paying so much more and getting nothing in return and nobody is doing anything about it..
So I’m glad to stay in Dubai as here generosity goes over profits 😃
Totally! Keep up the great content!
Can booking flights 5 months before takeoff really get you cheap tickets?
Yes, it can. But prices go up and down all the time so I don’t really have one trick. This ticket I bought a few days in advance. But 5 months should be ok!
where do u get the info like at 1500 ft nose is lowered and so on?
Some things are universal in the aviation world. I can see and feel it too.
Planes will always climb to 1000-1500 before they set climb thrust and climb 1000-3000 before accelerating. All over the world!
