I love how he bounces around on mods because people need to understand no single part effects 1 thing it's all a combination of math and planning.

I got a 2017 2ss 50th anniversary. I put on the FAI cold air intake, oil catch can, put 305s on the back and 275s on the front, Borla attack exhaust, zl1 taillights and i painted the side skirts the burnt orange to match the stripes. And she's gorgeous.
Not a power adder, but something that can make a big difference in how fast your car is by changing rear end gears. My 12 Mustang Gt had 3.15 gears in it when I bought it. I changed to 4.10 gears. Night and day difference. You can have the speedo recalibrated with or without a tune.
another good option COULD be; Suspension upgrade, some of the parts can be tuned more precisely to your driving, and weigh less (increasing power) or getting a new set of wheels, these can drop a ton of unsprung weight, which helps a ton with handling, weight, and... increases POWER. Those are the only other "intro" mods you can do. But, they arent adding power traditionally by increasing HP or Torque but rather using the Torque and HP you already have for more direct contact on the road instead of getting lost elsewhere.
Being a BMW fan I drove a white 2018 ss1le and I was just floored by the power and handling the handling was impressive!
As a 2014 SS1LE owner and 2018 ZL1 1LE owner, I am amazed every day at the torque and the drivability of these cars.
@@effyeadudemy favorite segments on car and driver is lightning lap, and when you look at the lightning lap times the Camaro is up there with the Porsche 911. The Camaros outperform their price bracket by an insane margin. I'm actually very confused, because everywhere I've looked the Camaro outperforms like crazy so I don't understand why this car doesn't get talked about more. It seems like people are talking about cars for the badge. I'm convinced that if you just could upscale a Camaro interior and change the badge, people would be gushing over this car
Long tube headers and tune is a good starting block for your mods.Then you can go either go N/A or power adder.
Ronald Croy CAI , headers, cat deletes and an E85 tune is great too. It's hard to stop modifying once you start.
I'd love to see a dealer try and deny me warranty work over an axle back haha

Only long tube headers will add power
Put headers, cat back, throttle body, and cai on my 10 Camaro ss. Got 20 hp gain to the wheels with tune. Spent about 5k all together but I had to get it tuned twice.
With my 17 ss I'm buying everything at one time and doing one tune. It'll take longer to buy everything but I'll save around 600 bucks. I think.
You should have gotten more then 20hp and 5k for 20 hp is ass. You can get a wet nitrous system for half and get a 100hp on tap
@@The412Devil that was years and 2 cam’s ago. Come to find out the place I went to weren’t the best at tuning Muscle cars. They don’t do them anymore. No more of that stuff for me. I drive too slow and there are too many assholes, (mopar people mostly), who think they’re suppose to drive like they’re at the track just going from light to light. I’m good.
Was looking into mods for when I was gonna go buy a 2ss but I think I rather just get a zl1 now instead.
I wonder why so many people are going with prochargers over turbos or twinscrew superchargers
It cuts out boost lag. also it can help more than a turbo at low RPMs. As far as Procharger over twin screw, its kinda cause Procharger is super reliable, super efficient, and pretty low profile in the engine bay. thats just my guess, its got brand loyalty.

The msd atomic intake manifold I see making around 20-28 hp with around a gain of 6 on torque just bolting it on with no tune. I don't think I've seen someone lose torque without a tune.
What made you switch from Pro Charger to Whipple???
Also what do you think about the Pro Charger and what do you think about the Whipple
I would say better tires first. These cars don't put down the power they have stock well.
@Gabe Armijo I 100% disagree. Bigger tires are always nice, but I’ve still go stock tires on my 2SS and traction has not ever been a problem. The 6th gen acceleration even when pushed hard is so controlled!
Bigger tires are heavy and this is rotational mass we are talking about which has a bigger impact than weight in the trunk per se would.

Don't forget to get some throttle body cleaner and clean the throttle body and flap good before you install a new cold air intake 👍

Some have had issues with the transmission. But they have moved to the 10 speed now

For a 2017, you'll need 4 HP credits per vin. You also can't tune the automatic transmissions. You have to physically remove the TCM and send it to HP tuners and have them tune it to your specs. Manual transmissions can be tuned the the ODB.

Installing an aftermarket cam on an automatic 11’ SS with 64k miles on it.. would I need/want to get new lifters, springs and pushrods? Or what would you recommend?

CAI without a tune will not increase power. The air/fuel mixture is controlled for optimum efficiency. The PCM only uses the volume of air needed. Forcing unneeded air in changes nothing

I Lethal! I beleve you miss something, fire, i put the Granatelli Motorsports Coil-Near-Plug 0 Ohm resistance and the Malevolent 85KV Coil Pack on my Camaro SS 2016 and got good gain with it!! With your setup i expect over 30 hp/tq!!!! I hope you will try. Thanks

I have the 2017 50th anniversary 2ss, would the 50 state legal ProCharger be a good fit for a daily driver without any other mods? Of course with a Tune 😅 I know it's the most expensive part you talked about but would that be a good one-and-done for an everyday car? Please give me your thoughts. I know you no longer have this setup as you are full-blown race car now back again Id like to keep it as a daily driver. Thanks
Sure! Would be a nice increase of power without needing to upgrade anything else. But your capped at that point, would need fuel upgrades to go beyond.

I don't like E-85 my 07 Silverado started smoking. I stopped that crap. Been driving ethanol free gas. It stopped smoking.

If I’m going the whipple boosted route would a ported throttle body and intake manifold be a waste of money?
I would say yes to being a waste. Won’t use the intake with a blower. And I suggest a bigger TB over porting.
Hi I know you have an automatic, but how about a video on swapping the stock manual shifter in a 2017 to the General Motors SHORT throw SHIFTER FOR THE ZL1? Maybe you know someone with an ss manual that would let you video the installation.....

Hey Lethal I have a 2015 Camaro SS and im trying to order parts and what not as little as a CAI to Long Tube headers I live in Cali so obiously I cant have it shipped to me because of CARB reasons do I really have to have it shipped to another state #ARIZONA and pick it up there???

Expensive, should only run the VP meth or equivalent. Gets power, but E85 can achieve the same results.

Hey man I have a question and you might think it's dumb but on my 2016 Camaro SS it has a little dex cool bottle where you put anti freeze, am I supposed to pour some into it or what?

I hope I might get a response. I know this vid was posted a while ago. I have a2015 camaro ss2ss. I am pricing some mods and want to make sure I won't be massively over paying. A shop quoted me 16k to install the following:
Pro charger p1x with helical gears(kit with intercooler)
Harmonic balancer for separate belt for SC
Long tube headers with cats
Dual disc clutch
Pillar mounted o2 and boost gauges
dyno tuned
That seems pricey.
LethalGarage what did you pay for yours?
ProCharger installed should be $8k, balancer a few hundred bucks, headers $1,200, clutch $2-3k - I'd say 12-13k max.
LethalGarage I guess I did forget to mention a few items. The zl1 fuel pump and bigger injectors than come with the base pro charger kit. Plus the gauges. Maybe a tad high but eh. Thanks for getting back to me.

Not sure where you saw that Chevy offers a cold air intake for the V8 (SS). In 2016 they said they were going to but I've been checking chevrolet.com for it and haven't seen it...I've gone aftermarket.

Probably won’t see any benefit to switching to e85 if you’re not boosted.
Not true. I gained 30whp above 91 octane on E85 + tune.

Can anyone confirm if the CARB approval actually went through for the procharger kit? I have been trying to follow that for a while and didn't see it... Or if anyone just has the number that would be best (figure out what I could get away with, on other cars you can swap head units and some other things, and you can basically get away with it. Some kits even come with a CO number on any head unit you swap in.
