- The Controls and Course Map Select themes from Star Fox, restored to full CD Quality, using the original source quality synth and sample sources!
This restore was done by Moola Mixtape! Following the work Milon has been doing for Star Fox, Moola wanted to contribute some tracks of his own! Much like Milon's work, I am very please with what he has crafted here, and believe you all will enjoy it, and find it to have been very well worth the long wait!
If you want to check out Moola's other works, you can find him here on RUclips: / @moolamixtape
Or you can folow him on Twitter: / moolamixtape
You can download the songs in lossless FLAC, using the links below:

All of the instruments we used here are documented on the NEWER VGM Sound Sources spreadsheet! This sheet documents the sounds of many games, with series like Mario and Sonic having their own dedicated tabs. The Rules page also links to some other spreadsheets that you may find to be of interest. You can check out the spreadsheet at this link: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
If you like our restoration/remaster work, why not check out our Cover channel, where our team members do various covers of music from games: / @churchsermonscok Игры
If you enjoy what you're hearing, do consider checking out our other channel, Church Sermons! This channel is where our team does covers from various games, and to show off what these old synths are really capable of doing, outside of these restores/remasters! DO THE WHOLE GAME! This title has some of the best video game music ever made! I'll totally have your babies.
@@matthewlawton9241 You alright my dude?
its wonderfull cover from this oldskool snes classic
I've never heard the main menu music sound so crisp and clear before and I also had no idea it transitioned into the course map theme like that!
Indeed it does!
If you mean in-game it doesn't, but it certainly was made to be so
The first note hit me like a brick. The nostalgia was so strong. I love this stuff!
lmao, "hit me like a brick"
From one fellow nerd to another. You are correct
me to sooo pure of heart oldskool forever@@TonyDGunner
That transition is AMAZING.
Gives me a vibe of just floating through space idly, chatting with your team while waiting for your next job... and then you get a call from Pepper, and it's time to ready up and get serious.
🔥🔥💯
god i miss the 90ies , everything was better back then
Holy fuck that transition from the control to the course select screen is making my eyes bust
So that's how it sounded like before it was compressed
had to put on a helmet, got blown away !
That transition is smooth as hell. I approve 👌
That transition though.
Quite possibly the greatest transition I've ever heard in videogame soundtracks. It also helps that the OG Starfox hook is a masterstroke..
This game has such a beautiful soundtrack
The music makes the original Star Fox as much as Williams’s music makes Star Wars. That game’s wholly unique vibe seems lost on Nintendo. Thanks for doing it justice.
that stereo panning is doing things to me.
This can definitely be the track for a Star Fox teaser trailer
Damn this sounds CLEAN.
AND THE TRANSITION
Why are my eyes leaking?
That transition was great.
ok but we need more Starfox restorations, like this is amazing
When you were a kid at the time this first came out, the music hit you like you were in a dream. It still does!
The transition is godlike, I MEAN IT.
Dude, adding a transition between the two songs is kind of a sweet move. I love that.
Man starfox really did feel like a big space epic. Call me crazy but I took these space animals deathly serious.
Same. Fox was a serious hero character to me as a kid. Everyone wanted to be Fox.
I used to just leave the control option menu open for hours just to hear this great tune
This is what sounds when a soul falls from heaven to this plane of existence in a mission to accomplish.
Again, I’m sitting here, giggling like a schoolboy. Thank you to MoolaMixtape and MilonLuxy for the tracks so far; really looking forward to the rest.
This sounds AMAZING. And the transition was perfect. >
It makes me feel like the past's future is here, and it's so beautiful :')
Starfox, A Link to the Past, and Super Mario World are the holy trinity of my childhood, this blew my tits off, that transition is just magic, great job.
sounds even better than I would have imagined, its beautiful! this was my favorite in this game, growing up I'd spend hours wasting time in the training
So relaxing
I feel like this is what the music sounded like to us as a kid
Astronomically good!
The work you've done here is incredible! The quality of the recreation! The transition between the two songs! I get chills
Does this sound fantastic or what? Wonderful job! Not sure how many instruments have been found for the game, but a guy can only hope for more of these. I absolutely adore this OST and would love to hear it receive the "restoration" treatment.
can't wait for the remaster of "main theme" and "Ending Bosses" tracks if you managed to find the required samples. keep it up !
That transition actually made me tear up. Marvellous work
That transition was incredible! I can’t wait to hear more Star Fox from you guys!
Of what I've played of this game, the controls menu and track hits me the most I think. I'd love to go to sleep on that menu one day, with that elusive track and images of slowly cruising through space in an Arwing filling my mind... Man, I'd love a seperate upload of just that as well as that awesome map theme. These videos really are mine blowing every time, I can't wait to hear more of this game.
This hits my nostalgia so super hard!
If Nintendo did these kinds of restorations to their Nintendo Switch Online SNES games, NSO would have more value than Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The concept of having an option to experience games _as you remember them_ instead of the way the consoles actually handled them would be so exciting
God damn! The controls menu is like... Crystalline almost!
Majestic!
I'd kill for an extended version of the controls screen theme, so relaxing!
Wow, it's beautiful!
Sounds like a lullaby with this sample quality...
It's weird hearing your childhood game getting restored rightfully for what it was supposed to sound like uncompressed.
Thank you for taking the time to restore the track in particular, looking forward to hear other tracks.
god i cant wait for corneria!!
One of my favourite video game songs ever made. God, I love this
Simply spectacular
With how different and crisp these two songs sound, imagine what the other tracks from the game would sound like! I hope this is foreshadowing…
I listen to this when I go running. Great motivation to keep moving…
Peak SNES right here
This really feels like you are going to a space mission as big as the universe itself
Sounds angelical
bro this shit is fucking INSANE LMaooooooo hearing it as an adult with a trained musical ear is wowowowowowow
that transition.
so niccce!
This might have been transitional incidental music in the game, but after seeing the intro music and hearing this, I was hooked on the game and I hadn’t even flown the first mission yet. It got way cool from there!
OMG it sounds so great!! I discovered your channel a few months ago and i can't say how much i love to hear all of these restorations, so thank you to all of the people behind it!! It's really awesome to listen and to rediscover these soundtracks :D
it's like it came out of the timeline that has Star Fox for Windows and Mac computers
Amazing song
Thank you for uploading this beautiful theme
This is amazing!
Sounds amazing!
ive been waiting for this one, cheers!
uhhhhh more please? that transition thou.
Yeeeeeeessssssss!!!!! It's so wild to get to hear the tracks like this after all these years! Thanks for all the work and uploads!
Dang, this sounds so good and clear
These are so amazing wtfff
This is fantastic. Amazing memories!
Beautiful
Incredible!!
As much as I would love to hear Corneria as the next guy I personally really want to hear Out of This Dimension and the boss music that plays when “fighting” that weird slot machine
To this day, this game was literally my favorite Super Nintendo game, the soundtrack was out of this world.
Good job mate, make it sound original but exactly how I heard it back then.
star fox 1&2 would make for one hell of a prog concept album
It's beautiful
Amazing !
wow. sounds great
This sounds so good whatt
So crisp.
Too damn good!!!!
MY DOG BRAAAAA.....😮
ITS F***ING EARGASM
*LYLAT SYSTEM INTENSIFIES*
Gear up and Suit yourself with the Proper Controls you Desire.
We go to the Great Beyond of Danger of Lylat...
You should put the Training Level theme as well!
Oh god, this is incredible! I hope you do Macbeth and Fortuna among the others...
Transition god!
THAT TRANSITION OH MY FUCKING GOD
My childhood
Who agrees that the realistic characters looked cursed?
I need a loop of the controls theme so bad!
I love you
.... Woooooow!
oh wow !
BOM!
BUM BOM!
BUM!
B-B-BOM!
BOM BUM!
BOM BUM!
BUM!
BOM BUM!
I miss when games and movies had extravagant drumbeats
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Goddamn. Any chance we can get an extended version of this, transitioning in and out of the different song phases?
Nerdgasm
It literally sounds like Space Mountain star tunnel!
Just like the melee version
Me: oh nice, the controls mus...
*Transition*
Me: 😲
So good! One thing I’ll note, the uncompressed “chime” bell-like sound used in several of the songs (such as Control) is sort of…*improved*, in some what, on the SNES sound font version, at least in my opinion. I’m curious if the difference in sound be replicated without the compression?
totally get your point. but forget all about that nonsense and just trip that beat !
that may be because its not the actual ones. Im pretty sure the og is just a Roland JX-1 fantasia
