The reason the top back door is out is because the door post is pushed in at the bottom. The fix is take a jack from the inside and push the post out . The jack is placed on the hinge that is pushed in,and the a anchor point is on the other side lower on the rocker. Or place himes behide the hinge
@@catfisher420 Exactly what I thought as well! Even on the assemly lines things like that were very common, including adjusting things with big rubber hammers.
Your 2010 Impala is "Summit White" which was a new shade of white for the 2010+ Impala's... The 2006-2009 Impala's were just called "White", which might be what those junkyard doors came off of & why the colors are off. I always Google the years of paint names/colors first if I ever have to match up body panels with used ones.
I'm sure Mike has probably got tons of hours on that grinder, but not having a guard with a ct off wheel is dangerous. I was using cutting some steel one time and the wheel broke and luckily I had a glove on because a piece hit my hand and it hurt like hell. And I have a ton of hours using grinders as well. Talk about having brain 'farts', as many times as I've put a guard on a grinder I just couldn't get it on and just used the grinder without the guard. When I changed the broken wheel the guard went right on. Wheel piece could have easily hit me in the face. Just a thought. Car looks great, too bad the colors didn't match. I was wondering because I think you said the doors were off an '11. And that little nudge on the pillar should do the job. Thanks for sharing.
thanks Randy for recording more of the process - I may never have to do this but I love to see the detail. an extra few minutes is worth watching people could fast forward if they don't wish to see as much detail.
I realized that, after Mike let the F-Bomb slip, you remain very stable during these processes, at least on camera! It’s rare that I don’t let slip at least on expletive when working a vehicle. I’m sure my neighbors learned some new words the weekend I installed an AC system on my Subaru Brat!! (A few years back. . .)
Randy, you removed the doors in the wrong way, if you notice the door hinges on the middle of each one has a 10 mm bolt in the center, if you remove that small bolt and remove the door strap bolt, then unhook the wiring harness at the pillar, Then all you have to do is lift straight up on the door and it will come right off,,this will leave half of the door hinge on the door and the other half on the body..Thus when you put it back on it will go on in a few seconds and not be out of alignment. That is why they are made that way,,,just a tip for next time,,,ps,,that is how alot of GM cars are now, also to align that back door, try loosing up the bolts on the lower hinge of the door "on the door itself (not the Body side) and pull the door outward on the bottom, may give you enough to be aligned,,the pillar looks as if it is not bent, so that should work.
The top of that Rear window frame, to adjust it so its tighter. Open the door, place something like a 4x4 12" block at the latch against the door. Roll the window down and you can bend the window frame to fit properly.
Hey Auto auction Rebuilds! I am big fan of this channel. I just recently purchased my first car via copart also my first auction car as well. It's a 2012 Chevrolet impala LT trim. It has been Rear ended but the damage looks minor however the winning bid was $725 I wish I can show you the pictures. Have a great one. Love your content.
Just ordered my auto auction rebuilds sticker! Can't wait to put it on the jeep! Great content Randy! Let's see a step by step on that Z! Already come this far! Lets see what we can do with it?
Ram cummins 05 weird beard has. The process of getting one varies by state and probably county but worth it if you’re flipping cars. Randy was lucky 🍀 To find Mike and vice versa, Mike was lucky that Randy came along with vehicles to put on weird beard lot.
Hey man, just started following. Been thinking about trying Copart here in Canada...could you post what you sell some of your projects for after repairs?
Hi: Love the channel! Qucik Question: will you attempt to fix the crese in the Rear QP or will you just touch it up to prevent rust can call it done? Curiosity more than anything .. no criticism here.. Is the rocker cover repairable?
You can buy matching paint at places like Napa. Might take 2 or 3 cans. two-part spray can clear coat with the release seal on the bottom of the spray can you can buy on Amazon or Ebay. I say it will take 2 cans, maybe 3. I wiould of got matching color doors myself.
Hey man i was Wondering if i could send you a video of my Volvo and you can give me some advice. im a fan of your work and would like your input if possible
I would like to see all the body work on the z car especially the rear quarter that has to be cut and welded isn't that what your channel is supposed to be about ?
Can't believe you didn't check paint codes before buying the doors. There must be plenty of Impala's out there to get a set in the correct colour. They may both be called white in Chevy's catalogue but the donor car is obviously nearer a cream colour than white.
Been working on Cars for years ! Never got lucky & got the right color after all the effort !! it sucks ! Are you keeping the Z! be hard for me to let go ? Lol 😎
HEYYYY MAN !!!!!! I want to see everything you fix with out time laps. This is my "MANS SOAP OPRA". Your videos arent near long enough, tho I understand you got a life, but what about us without a life??? LOL Also I dont live far from you, Im in Quanah Tx just south of Altus OK on the Tx side 5 minutes from redriver. Keep up the good work bud, It because of you im starting to use Copart in Amrillo Tx. :D

Spot on,
Shims sounds like the easier way to go!

Just a question. Why not look around a bit more and get matching doors, less hassle and less cost that repainting.
Thanks
Randy,
Harbor Freight does sell a door hanger stand. To helps install those doors. An to level them off.

Just a thought, open the hood on the Z and try tweaking the hinges before replacing them.
Impala looks great. Required salvage inspection in NC is 6 model years old. They only check for stolen parts.

Excellent work, looks like the impala is another home run !!! Love it ...
Step by step please. I look to get into the Copart thing and want to see the things you are going through.
So like what about the pinstripe?
Nice job randy. It would be cool to see a step by step ti see how the process works.
Save a lot a work by checking paint codes when buying your used parts. Just because it's white doesn't mean it's gonna match up.
Just curious do u have to have a dealer license if so what's the process and cost to get a dealer license

Why don't you use head mount for recording?
+arYan wiCKed! Head mount would be too far away from the things I’m working on you wouldn’t be able to see anything I’m doing clearly
How do you stop ticking noise in engine
A step by step would be interesting to see. The dog was great! Needs more appearances! HAHA!

Very nice, it's looking really good
Now I see some actual rebuilding
Where
Is replacing a part replacing or rebuilding?
@@mh488 ha ha I was thinking the same lol
@@crazycouter Why do you watch the channel always talking shit if you don't like it don't watch.
Is there a frame damage in this car ?
This Malibu is a great deal, if you had the door color matching, even with this small dent an the back right wheel well it's a great car to drive.
Impala.

I watch your videos every day on my lunch break .from Pittsburgh pa!!
Do they have a lot of p71’s or Grand Marquis at Copart? Would love to see a buy and flip
Id doubt they have much considering there an insurance auction not a city auction
You gonna redo those pinstripes on the doors of the impala?!
Step by step for sure
Nice result!
time lapse, who does the inspection ?? thanks
Yet another great video and another great win!
Harbor Freight has a trim removal tool set for those plastic clips and screws

Good job on the impala so far.
What about the door locks
Time lapse will be awesome.
Please do a step by step on the “Z” car.

I love your dog bud! Gotta love a waggly butt pooch!
I think those new doors came from a fleet car considering the white isnt as white and theres no pin striping
Don't know why anyone would give this a thumbs down you watch it for car content and that's what this is lol .
where is the vette?

Why don't you have ads on your videos ?
Nehil Joshi do you really like watching ads

My understanding with selling cars with rebuilt titles is that most financial institutions won't lend money on them. Do you experience this situation?
Time lapse is good.

A time lapse of the nissan will do just fine I think.
