Hey its been 8 years lol, i hope you improved I thought the same 4 years ago, but try different pick grips (pick slanting may help too) and also a good low action setup on your guitar for example my action at 12th fret is (up to the 24th fret) for the high E is 1.1mm and low E 1.8mm And ofcourse good practice habits! Goodluck
Practice with a metronome and you’ll see results of improvement in a few hours. For example, start at around 70bpm and go up 1 until you hit your limit of being able to play whatever it is you’re trying to play comfortably. Then you pretty much practice and practice until you’re able to play it clean. That’s the process I go by and nothing seems impossible to play anymore. It just takes a lot of practice to reach your goal, but you get there eventually. The way you choose to pick certain notes is also a huge part of being able to play fast.
