He'd probably make a phenomenal private teacher. He explains things very well and can slow it down. Alexi is definitely my favorite guitarist out there.
I love it when these accomplished musicians break down their warm up routines. It's all about the basics.
It's great when that these guys will do things like this and actually play it slowly. A lot of people don't play anything slowly for you.

Underrated
The way he says "pickin" is crackin me up, it almost sounds southern.
So true that everything is about just doing the fundamentals with perfection. Both he and Paul Gilbert say the exact same thing when it comes to PRACTICING, they just do really simple stuff with perfect technique at high speed, and then that allows them to fly when they WRITE extremely complex stuff.

I've been "playing" guitar for over ten years....still have no idea what "major 6" or "flat 5" or any of those terms mean.
JT Yearsley man maj 6 is the sixth note of major scale and flat 5 is the blue note-are yoy against theory?its good to know man
You could learn what it means in just a few minutes. It's just the name of a note's relation to the root note. And there's only 7 notes in a diatonic scale. It's pretty easy to understand if you've any inclination to do so.

+François Le Coadou He looks healthier than ever before. Thank god he and the guys quit drinking because their live-perfomance improved a lot.
I think he's just a naturally skinny dude. He looks like he lost weight because the alcohol and drugs left him kinda bloated. He's probably healthier now than he's been in a long time.

@@nr1pimme beer makes you fat, coming from an alcoholic. the dude probably isn't drinking as much, hence the getting skinnier but probably isn't eating very well... a lot of people struggle with appetites without drinking after being an alcoholic for a long time (again, speaking from personal experience.) I hope he's slowed down at least, it sure looks like he has.
