Great Vid. Said it before and I'll say again, BJJ has an issue with coaching. 90% of people 90% of the time want to demonstrate moves. There's almost zero coaching. The issue is a logistical one I guess. Youcant coach different levels in one class, it's just a fundamental issue with a complex martial art.
I love this channel, Coach Adam is amazing. Level change and hitting the knee on the mat is really hard for me. I always miss time steps and tangled up as a result. Also, does your knee not get hurt during the process ?
Thanks man. I'm new to grappling and am forcing myself to start my rounds standing at open mat, even if it means I just end up getting tossed around. You gotta wrestle to learn how to wrestle, and your videos are helping a lot. The advice here to have a singular goal is going to be helpful i can already tell.
takedowns in Judo are prevalent in wrestling asw, and yes, if the wrestler you are against has a low stance, you better have a low stance or else you are getting taken down

Thank you for the video based on my previous comment :) Keep up the great work!
Coincidentally enough, looks a lot like a boxing stance!
Not that much of a coincidence; the key to this stance is maximising stability while maintaining mobility, which applies to both boxing and wrestling.

Thanks alot for this
I prefer doing judo takedowns over wrestling takedowns. Would you recommend that I stay in a low stance when fighting a wrestler?

As a general rule of thumb you want to match stance level or be ready to drop into a lower stance.
