Good stuff. I just got my ankle seriously hurt by a big blue belt just recently. He picked me up in a high single leg then reaped my other planted ankle. It rolled and popped and swelled up really big. You have to be really careful with bigger guys that are young and lower ranks. Those are the ones who are likely to hurt you.

As a newer, bigger white belt, I appreciate you showing me all of the positions that I want to end up in, and common defenses against them. 😉

Could you do the tiny details of the hand fight and breaking grips when your back is to a wall or cage in MMA or just at your BJJ gym while rolling?

good tactics against bigger guys. i am 5' 9" 170lbs and one of the smaller guys at my club. with bigger guys you need to buy some time and frustrate and tire them out.

As a big guy 39 years old 6’3 290 can we get some big Jake big guy vs big guy lessons for tournaments. As a new white belt it seems like all the content is built around small practitioners. Wrestled for 8 years so my standup game as a white belt shuts most people down but figuring shit out once I get them down is where my learning really begins.

Will peeling the fingers get you disqualified during a grappling match (either wrestling or jitz)?

Grabbing single fingers isnt allowed in bjj. You can grab 3 or more fingers only.

Only opportunities to fight a big guy come from the counters.... much harder chess match, but where are your strengths vs his...
He has true strength, but is not as fast... the opportunity for your back take should be a lot higher since you have a speed advantage. Only way to put a big guy down is to sleep him... knockouts aren't likely unless you have a tool to hit them with (real world example)
So get your chokes learned and tight... or find a way to leave that fight. (Survival is a win)
