What if he decides to go for the finish and tries to apply bulldog choke or short choke ? Is there any way to defend them while you are trying to get up ? Also, quad pod looks risky too. A good BJJ practitioner goes for body triangle once the other person turns its back. 🤔
quad pod is amazing in bjj. The reality is bulldog and short chokes are fairly ineffective if you are moving keeping elbows and chin tucked enough, they are not high percentage. If your opponent tries to body triangle you with their legs when you quad pod its actually very difficult for them to stay attached without using heaps of squeezing pressure in their legs which is very tiring. Not to mention when its sweaty
not at all. this is a typical situation where the average black belt would have a hard time with somebody who knows how to stand up. IMO this tutorial is excellent and it applies at the highest level.
@@MMABeijing yeah bc it's ppl who don't know how to grab their legs and gain mount from there iv seen it time and time again since the 90s u average sport guy sure they have no clue About fighting lol
There are lots of moves in grappling that don’t work 100% of the time. You have to learn the moves and then learn how to chain them together in order to hope to get out of a bad position. A jab in boxing doesn’t work all the time that’s why you have to chain it together with other movements and strikes.

quad pod is quite safe, most jiu jitsu guys suck at attacking it

@@macaluso48 no, I am saying that the average black belt can't deal with the skillset presented in the excellent tutorial.
