I told you, this Buenos Aires concert is pure gold. And this track is one of my absolute favourites, only just an inch behind Poet and the Pendulum. Thanks for your great reactions, love them 😊

Great reaction guys! One of Tuomas's most personal songs, second only to Poet and the Pendulum . At the time he wrote it, it was about how he would want to be remembered if he were to die tomorrow. A way to thank those who deserve it and to tell those to piss off that deserve it as well. Told through the eyes of a misunderstood boy who has trouble connecting with his family and friends and feels he can only be understood through his music. This is Nightwish! My favorite song from them. I don't think this can be topped... This is very personal to Tuomas. It is an incredible piece of art. I can't get enough of it.
Great job Thamesmen,. This is why i subscribed to The Thamesmen. I realize Nightwish is not popular here in the USA. But you guys are wise enough to know greatness when you see it. Tuomas is gifted in ways few in history have experienced. The band is a treasure for all to behold. And Floor.... Floor is why we know of Thomas's gift. Very special artists.
Love this performance, this song, one of Tuomas’s most personal. Inspired by the question, if you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would you have to say today? Tuomas answers in poetic form from his persona as an innocent, misunderstood boy. Probably my favorite Emppu solo. Leaves me wanting more. It has been a great week George and Alex! Keep exploring Nightwish every now and then. There is still more greatness to discover, believe it or not.
Well done again George, Alex and Chris. I had forgotten that this song existed, such is the depth of Nightwish's catalogue. I only have one word for this performance ... mesmerizing! I can't wait to see what drops into Patreon.

Born from silence, silence full of it A perfect concert my best friend So much to live for, so much to die for If only my heart had a home Sing what you can’t say Forget what you can’t play Hasten to drown into beautiful eyes Walk within my poetry, this dying music My loveletter to nobody Never sigh for better world It’s already composed, played and told Every thought the music I write Everything a wish for the night Wrote for the eclipse, wrote for the virgin Died for the beauty the one in the garden Created a kingdom, reached for the wisdom Failed in becoming a god Never sigh… “If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it Remember only the verse, songmaker’s cry, the one without tears For I’ve given this its strength and it has become my only strength. Comforting home, mother’s lap, chance for immortality Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew The sweet piano writing down my life” “Teach me passion for I fear it’s gone Show me love, hold the lorn So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me I’m sorry Time will tell (this bitter farewell) I live no more to shame nor me nor you And you… I wish I didn’t feel for you anymore…” A lonely soul… An ocean soul…
Hello George and Alex. Nice to see you. Nightwish as individuals are wonderfully gifted musicians. As a collective, they are simply astounding. Thank you.
Hello again Thamesmen. This is one of my absolute favorite Nightwish songs. Floor is simply magical in her stage presence and her voice. The silhouettes of her near the end are so lovely. Every single member of the band nail it every single time. Fantastic indeed. Thank you for this guys. And enjoy the Hellfest reaction. It is one of the truly great shows of 2022.
one of the ''big 5'' masterpieces...the sound is so out of this world, the lyrics the music personal songs the Poet and the Pendulum & Dead Boys Poem for Tuomas...
And there we have it. A rabbit hole and you might keep on digging here to all the other songs by Nightwish. And there's more to dig in to. Bands like Epica, The Gathering and Within Temptation are some other bands in the same style but with there own distinctiveness. Enjoy and keep digging.🤟🤟
My favorite Nightwish song, so touching and beautiful and Foor’s stage presence is enchanting ❣️ If only my heart had a home ❤️ ALWAYS chills The lyrics are Tuomas’s message he wanted to leave the world to remember him.
One of their 5 masterpieces (if I had to choose): Score, Poet, Show, Poem and Shoemaker. My personal top5 is different which is a testament to their catalogue, everyone can find something great for themselves.
You Thamesmen did already react to quite a few NW songs in the past, and on top of it this week....., but believe it or not there is still enough left that can easily fill some extra weeks. I think that is an important strenght of this band: their high level catalogue is gynormous. I thank you.
This is one of my favorites. Based on a hypothetical situation created by the genius. This is a very emotional and personal song for Tuomas. The small child's voice represents Tuomas inner child speaking. When asked what this song was about "Tuomas has said about this song, that it's about if he were to die tomorrow, what would he want to say to everyone that he loves, and that love him..." Notice the small boy on the screen reaching out to the flying swans on the screen. The swan is the guide to the afterlife in Finnish mythology. He is reaching out to implore them to take him with to the other side. A beautiful song filled with sadness from an unfulfilled destiny. Dead Boy's Poem (spoken words) If you read this line Remember not the hand that wrote it Remember only the verse Songmaker's cry, the one without tears For I've given this its strength And it has become my only strength Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew The sweet piano writing down my life Teach me passion, for I fear it's gone Show me love, hold the lorn So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me I'm sorry Time will tell, this bitter farewell I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you And you I wish I didn't feel for you anymore A lonely soul An ocean soul
As I said yesterday this song for me should be listened sitting in a great big lazy boy chair with your favorite beverage close your eyes and give yourself to the music!!!!
One of the very rare moments Emppu does not smile while playing. That's how you know it's serious!! A moving, emotional look into the soul of the greatest composer of my lifetime courtesy of the the six most talented people on the planet, all contained in a single band. 'Nuff said!
Ooooh gives me chills everytime I hear it. Such a personal song from Tuomas a man not afraid to lay out his heart for his art.. Others have explained what it's about and how personal it is but did you know Song of myself is just as intimate and revealing. Its about him as an old man on his death bed and his final thoughts on life and love. You only heard half the song at Wacken. The other half is spoken word and is a devastating emotional exploration of the human condition. No band touches people's soul quite like Nightwish do.
Such a beautiful song, and a very important song in the Nightwish canon. Also worth checking out the Tarja original too, and a stunning live performance from 'From Wishes To Eternity' back in 2000
Yes - I guess very personal song as you assumed. I have heared Tuomas wrote this as his own (funeral) eulogy. Even though its poetic and left for the listener to create your own way to relate with the message - nightwish songs always are. They create an emotional space where everyone can connect on their own way. I guess that is what makes Nightwish so universaly liked and felt.
Floorgasms allround! I love this track and would like it to recur in their set from time to time. It is one of Floor's best, starting with that gentle balladic introduction, then building up to some of her absolute peak belting of those final notes and everything in-between, apart from her more operatic sound. All the playing is spot-on of course - they are so good.
Probably my favorite Nightwish song. Always brings a tear to my eye. Floor is so masterful, not just with her voice but what she does on the stage to emphasize parts of the music: whether it's dancing, arm movements, what have you, she is just phenomenal.
Gentleman, as always well done on your Nightwish reaction. A couple thoughts . 1) I had not heard Dead Poem and yes, quite a song. 2) are you going to do reactions to their Human Nature album there are several excellent songs, Tribal, Endlessness, Noise .... 3)With Floor having put out 5 or 6 singles do you have plans for doing reactions to her soloing. I guess that's 3 things :)
When you learn the meaning...the song is even more beautiful! It's Tuomas' answer to the question, "if you knew you'd die tmrw, what would you want to say today?"
This is what Tuomas said about this song: "This is the most personal song I’ve ever written. My testimony for the whole world. With this song I want to apologise everyone who deserves my apology. It also makes an “I don’t care” -statement to them who deserve it. The song is also about what Nightwish means and has meant to me. It’s all, without it I’m dead. I have created it and it has created me. When I pass away, this song’s lyrics are of what I wish to be remembered. An Ocean Soul". Your commentators are quite right; indeed it might help to know Tuomas uses several pseudonyms to refer to himself in various Nightwish songs which he writes from experiences or imagination, he says he is a man with a boy's heart, a grown up Peter Pan and you will see that directly in places, here for instance, or elsewhere as "one with a pure heart", a line Floor sings in a high head voice as you might hear from an excited small boy. Of course, you hear the narration spoken by a young boy. . . . . . . Tuomas speaking directly to you. He will also use poet, dreamer, writer/song writer or ocean soul - Tuomas has an affinity for the ocean, he was studying to be a marine biologist. This song is his self-written obituary/epitaph as has been correctly recorded, he is the dead boy and appears in the back drop imploring the swans, which in Finnish traditions carry you off to the afterlife. There's two Shakespeare quotes in this song almost verbatim from Sonnet 71 and 72, Sonnet 71 starts, "No longer mourn for me when I am dead" and Tuomas used the line " Nay, if you read this line, remember not the hand that writ it"; and Sonnet 72, "And live no more to shame nor me nor you." Yes, the only time too you will see a very serious Emppu, not his usual joking and happy self; he knows what this song means. Marko's double neck is a Warwick/Framus - Infinity/Panthera with a piezo pick-up in the bridge for the acoustic sound, seriously heavy in weight and price, (c.$14K US) special custom shop order only. Another respected and erudite reactor in the music industry has said the last two minutes of this song deserve to be in a museum, I would concur. I'll leave that with you. Two thumbs up from me if I could.
My facourite so far. I love how it starts as a ballad and then they build up the Nightwish-sound-greatness. There was no single element missing and not one single note they made was unnecessary. Esp. in the guitar solo.
Kinda thought you'd like it. You see why it's s in my top 4. My notes: "Dead Boy's Poem' featured a child's voice. "I had an idea of a song with a young boy boy reciting reciting a poem", Tuomas says. "The trouble was that no Finnish so I had to find a 12-year-old could pronounce English so that it sounded right, so I had to find a native speaker to do it. My mother's Sister, actress Miitta Sorvali, knew [the English-Finnish director and writer] Neil Hardwick well, and my mum remembered that Neil had a son called Sam. I called him and asked him to do the poem, and Sam agreed right away. It was just funny that when I talked to this 15-year-old boy he seemed like such a citizen of the worldand was actually familiar with our band too. Sam sa is d he'd be free to record the poem anytime; I'd just have to give him a call. He even knew where Finnvox was and promised to meet us there. The professionalism of young Sam Hardwick made a deep impression on Tuomas. "When he arrived at the studio, had to ask him to wait for ten minutes or so and he just pulled a book from his pocket and sat down to read". Tuomas says, " I gave him the poem, and he read it through a few times. We did some editing and Sam just sat down on the studio floor and read his book, after which I asked him to read the poem a couple of more times."
Since Floor is the best vocalist in Europe I wonder who's the best elsewhere? Great reaction. Always funny to watch Your interactions. All the best /Anders
Thanks again for the great video! 😊 This is one of Tuomas's most personal songs. Here he tells us how we should remember him if he died right now. Don't remember the hand that wrote the music, just remember the music. Swans can be seen on the LED screen behind. In Finnish religion before Christianity, a big bird had an important meaning. It took the dying person's soul to another world. So this symbolism of death can be seen both in the lyrics of the song, in the way it is presented (note, none of the band members are smiling or happy as usual) and in the background screen. NW actually performs the song, not just plays it... Once again we can say, NW is an experience, not just listening to music...
A great way to end Nightwish week! I said that Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean might be my favorite Floor performance, but this one is up there too. The way she starts so delicately, and finishes absolutely soaring! Floorgasms all around! I've really enjoyed Nightwish week, and hope you do another. In the meantime, how about an Aurora week? 🤔🤟
Not rare tracks, just songs they picked out of the archive that they hadn’t performed since Tarja left the band. They had a world tour to do but no new album to promote, so they decided to pick out some oldies to play and thus was born the Decades Tour, one of the best shows that I ever went to.
Im from The Nightwish Army too,but really late to this party, some reactions im fast on,but there is soo many out there,im doomed to miss out on some lol. Anyway, looking over the comments with a smile,as people been doing theyr thing, informing you like we are known for. Im with you guys,i hold Jukka as the best drummer i have ever seen, like his own words said: "My heart belongs in that drumseat". So absolutely devastated that heavy insomnia took him away from us,but i love that Tuomas reassured us that he is at peace in his "new path in life",not being a drummer anymore. He now is theyr manager pretty musch, taking care of administrative stuff. But Kai is a pure drum machine as well! And what i need to say, that has already been said in the comments: Floor did this entire concert still being sick, and from what i can remember she had just had alot of throat issues regarding being sick. So for us normal mortals (lol),it would be strange not to feel some type of way by hearing her so flawlessly live! We call her a Norse Goddess in TNA as an internal joke, and she always laughs heartedly in interviews when this is adressed, that she appreciates the compliments but reassures that she does not at any point flip her hair all sassy, and think shes a goddess walking on this earth. (But you are Floor, you are...) And then she goes onto naming her daughter Freja, after THE famous Norse Mythology Goddess Freya. Tell me im wrong!Floor is out of this world! I have grown up with all the greats,Led Zeppelin,Iron Maiden,Metallica,ZZ Top,AC/DC,Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and so on. I have heard some amazing vocalists on both sides, but i have NEVER heard anyone that does things to me,like when Floor sings. And her in Nightwish with theese crazy talented musicians? Its like stepping into a dream state of mind, its nothing close to it!
After much consideration I decided that this is my absolute favorite NW song with Sahara on a solid second place. On 3th... all the rest, haha. “and you… I wish I didn’t feel for you anymore….” Umphh!!
As soon as Floor started singing my eyes went all misty. One thing someone pointed out on another reaction to this song that I thought was pretty poignant….Emppu’s guitar solo…the expression on his face when he finishes…not his usual smiling, happy visage. Maybe that demonstrates the power of this song….it even got to him. For Tuomas himself this song means a lot. He has said that this is the “mother of all Nightwish songs, about himself and how he wants people to remember him as when he passes away. He said ”This is the most personal song I’ve ever written. My testimony for the whole world. With this song I want to apologize everyone who deserves my apology. It also makes an “I don’t care” -statement to them who deserve it. The song is also about what Nightwish means and has meant to me. It’s all, without it I’m dead. I have created it and it has created me. When I pass away, this song’s lyrics are of what I wish to be remembered. An Ocean Soul.” Here are the words read by the boy; I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you I'm sorry If you read this line Remember not the hand that wrote it Remember only the verse Songmaker's cry, the one without tears For I've given this its strength And it has become my only strength Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew The sweet piano writing down my life Teach me passion, for I fear it's gone Show me love, hold the lorn So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me I'm sorry Time will tell, this bitter farewell I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you And you I wish I didn't feel for you anymore So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me Time will tell NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘.
You are actually pretty spot on, in why Nightwish with Floor are so incredible... You didn't hear the lyrics, but Floor controlled your emotions so eminent that you felt the song so intense that no words are needed - almost... But this is one of the reasons why we consider Floor to be the greatest singer ever. In the song 'Deep Silent Complete' - from Buenos Aires 2018 (same concert) - it's pretty simple lyrics of a Tuomas's - but the effect when Floor performs it by the sounds and movements she makes - you simply becomes a part of the song and are there - your mind and imagination makes you experience the feelings, passions and emotions, Floor fills you with. It's incredible to experience live I tell you!! Great reaction from you again 👍 Here is the link ruclips.net/video/aP5YhYzZmwc/видео.html
Sorry to leave several comments, but how about Floor week. There are loads of tunes that she covered during pandemic(And which most likely gave her the courage to try a solo album in first place). Also there are her solo album songs toi. And when you think that Metallica asked Floor to be their bands nr.1 warm-up act should tell few things. 1. James Hetfield has heard Floor sing in NW and most likely listened some of her solo work as well. 2. That Metallica thinks she can do such a good show that main band has a easy, already warmed audience because if something can be said about Floor she knows how to bring the audience as part of her performances.
The passion from this performance goes right thru your screen into your living room, shock and awe again.I personnely like a lot of different music genres and there are a lot of good bands and performers and as a "retired" on the road sound and light guy and theater work i have seen and heard a lot. It is really the passion they throw , smash and then again subtilly put on you that amazes me every single time and gives me good vibes. Maby when you guys have finished this "series",you can look at some collaborations Floor did with,Evergrey, soilwork,Epica,Avantasia, beste zangers,Sing meinen Song,Finish heavy christmas, ayreon and ofcourse Northward. I saw it in your faces "shock and awe".😊😉🤘 (Oh yes, don't forget her latest solo work ,Paragon)

Hello again from Finland Thamesmen. I just have 1 issue, yes Marco has a douple neck instrument, but since other is fuitar, and other is bass is it then truly a douple-neck guitar? Or just multi neck with guitar and bass? Marco has a name for it too. It's simply called The Beast. And i can imagine, since i bet it weights a ton and also is big and bulky. I love Emppu's guitar solo in this song. In all honesty Emppu is one of the best guitarist among living ones anyway. He has always being perceived as okay/good guitarist even, but after hearing some of the reaction makers that work in music industry and have heard Pink Floyd and such bands live, then say that Emppu compares in their eye's as good as David Gilmore, Stevie Ray, it makes me happy. There is an nice video/Clips of band touring the world where you see Emppu meet Joe Satriani. Song was Over the Hills and Far Away. And it was posted by NW.
If i could only listen to one band for the rest of my life, it would be Nightwish, it´s not even up for debate.
Makes sense!
Same here 🤘❤️
There are no words that could do justice to Nightwish. This is where linguists are needed to invent suitable superlatives.

Thanks for an entertaining week gentlemen, loved every minute of it.
Our pleasure and thank you for your continued support. More soon!! Cheers Alex
Your Nightwish week made my week Thank You
Ah that's so nice. Stay with us on our journey, and we will always come back to NW! Thanks, Alex
This song is gonna be played at my funeral one day. If my relatives forget, you guys shall remind them.
Got it!
My favorite song.
I am glad you enjoyed it. Thanks, Alex
Born from silence, silence full of it
A perfect concert my best friend
So much to live for, so much to die for
If only my heart had a home
Sing what you can’t say
Forget what you can’t play
Hasten to drown into beautiful eyes
Walk within my poetry, this dying music
My loveletter to nobody
Never sigh for better world
It’s already composed, played and told
Every thought the music I write
Everything a wish for the night
Wrote for the eclipse, wrote for the virgin
Died for the beauty the one in the garden
Created a kingdom, reached for the wisdom
Failed in becoming a god
Never sigh…
“If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse, songmaker’s cry, the one without tears
For I’ve given this its strength and it has become my only strength.
Comforting home, mother’s lap, chance for immortality
Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew
The sweet piano writing down my life”
“Teach me passion for I fear it’s gone
Show me love, hold the lorn
So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me
I’m sorry
Time will tell (this bitter farewell)
I live no more to shame nor me nor you
And you… I wish I didn’t feel for you anymore…”
A lonely soul… An ocean soul…
Of all the great Nightwish songs this one hold a special place in my heart. That last part gets to me every time.
Very good song!
Your reaction says it all!
We all feel that way.
Such talented musicians.
Thanks, Alex
For me this song was my son's funeral music first time in years I've not cried listening to this STILL HURTS but so much love here
I am so sorry. How unbearable. Thank you for being here
This Version of DbP is in my top 5. Only wow. 🤘
So glad. Cheers Alex
Hello George and Alex. Nice to see you. Nightwish as individuals are wonderfully gifted musicians. As a collective, they are simply astounding. Thank you.
Hello, many thanks for being here and supporting us. I wish you well and more soon. Cheers Alex
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks, Alex
Aaah, thank you! One of my favorites. Gets to me every time 🥲
one of the ''big 5'' masterpieces...the sound is so out of this world, the lyrics the music
personal songs the Poet and the Pendulum & Dead Boys Poem for Tuomas...
True.... Epic. Thanks Alex
My favorite Nightwish song, so touching and beautiful and Foor’s stage presence is enchanting ❣️
If only my heart had a home ❤️
ALWAYS chills
The lyrics are Tuomas’s message he wanted to leave the world to remember him.
Love your admiration for Nightwish. It's shared!
Much Love to You and Ukraine

Many thanks and we hope all is well where you are - Thanks, Alex
every time listening to this the challenge is not to cry. I fail.
:)
One of their 5 masterpieces (if I had to choose): Score, Poet, Show, Poem and Shoemaker.
My personal top5 is different which is a testament to their catalogue, everyone can find something great for themselves.
I concur. My top 5 as well.
I want to add a 6th, Master Passion Greed….
@@jsmoor4988 MPG is definitely NOT regular. Great song.
You Thamesmen did already react to quite a few NW songs in the past, and on top of it this week....., but believe it or not there is still enough left that can easily fill some extra weeks. I think that is an important strenght of this band: their high level catalogue is gynormous. I thank you.
Oh.... there will be more :) Thank you for your support. Cheers Alex
nice, one of my fav.. ahh.. no.
I love alomst every NW-Song 🤣
thank you, well done❤🔥
Beautiful track indeed, gents. My first time hearing that one
And us!
This is one of my favorites. Based on a hypothetical situation created by the genius.
This is a very emotional and personal song for Tuomas. The small child's voice represents Tuomas inner child speaking.
When asked what this song was about "Tuomas has said about this song, that it's about if he were to die tomorrow, what would he want to say to everyone that he loves, and that love him..."
Notice the small boy on the screen reaching out to the flying swans on the screen. The swan is the guide to the afterlife in Finnish mythology. He is reaching out to implore them to take him with to the other side. A beautiful song filled with sadness from an unfulfilled destiny.
Dead Boy's Poem (spoken words)
If you read this line

As I said yesterday this song for me should be listened sitting in a great big lazy boy chair with your favorite beverage close your eyes and give yourself to the music!!!!
Always a good way to listen!
@@TheThamesmen Have you posted the last video for the week I cant see it did i reply to all of this weeks nightwish
It is so hauntingly beautiful and powerful every time.
One of the very rare moments Emppu does not smile while playing. That's how you know it's serious!! A moving, emotional look into the soul of the greatest composer of my lifetime courtesy of the the six most talented people on the planet, all contained in a single band. 'Nuff said!
HA!! True. Cheers Alex
Good one.
Be well John!! Thank you for your support. Cheers Alex
AGREED!! Thanks, Alex
Nightwish is like a candybox❤
That never melts
Masterpiece ✌️
Fantastic song! Fantastic reaction ❤
🎉
Thanks you ! Cheers Alex
Thank you for this reaction🙏 I am waiting to see them live soon in my home country🤘🇫🇮
How exciting. Enjoy
Phew..... What a public death. Thank you for your support. Cheers Alex
So good, not ashamed to say it makes me super emotional. Cheers Alex
Probably my favorite Nightwish song. Always brings a tear to my eye. Floor is so masterful, not just with her voice but what she does on the stage to emphasize parts of the music: whether it's dancing, arm movements, what have you, she is just phenomenal.
It really makes me want to cry also. Thanks, Alex
I'd say " I told you I was sick"
@@TheThamesmen That reply...is why you are my people! Lol

There's two Shakespeare quotes in this song almost verbatim from Sonnet 71 and 72, Sonnet 71 starts, "No longer mourn for me when I am dead" and Tuomas used the line " Nay, if you read this line, remember not the hand that writ it"; and Sonnet 72, "And live no more to shame nor me nor you."
Yes, the only time too you will see a very serious Emppu, not his usual joking and happy self; he knows what this song means.
Agreed!! Cheers Alex
Kinda thought you'd like it. You see why it's s in my top 4.
My notes:
"Dead Boy's Poem' featured a child's voice. "I had an idea of a song with a young boy boy reciting reciting a poem", Tuomas says. "The trouble was that no Finnish so I had to find a
12-year-old could pronounce English so that it sounded right, so I had to find a native speaker to do it.
"When he arrived at the studio, had to ask him
to wait for ten minutes or so and he just pulled a book from his pocket and sat down to read".
Tuomas says, " I gave him the poem, and he read it through a few times. We did some editing and Sam just sat down on the studio floor and read his book, after which I asked him to read the poem a couple of more times."
Oh wow NBick, that's heavy. Thanks!! Thank you for your support. Cheers Alex
Thanks
Cheers Alex
Since Floor is the best vocalist in Europe I wonder who's the best elsewhere? Great reaction. Always funny to watch Your interactions. All the best /Anders
Thanks again for the great video! 😊
This is one of Tuomas's most personal songs.
Well said and written. Thank you
Top 5 for me !!!
Well done gentlemen, entertaining reaction to a wonderful tune.
Thanks for the support
Another masterpiece.

Told you guys that this BA concert was EPIC. Glad you enjoyed it and again, cheers from Buenos Aires!
Loved it - Thanks, Alex
A great way to end Nightwish week! I said that Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean might be my favorite Floor performance, but this one is up there too. The way she starts so delicately, and finishes absolutely soaring! Floorgasms all around!
I've really enjoyed Nightwish week, and hope you do another. In the meantime, how about an Aurora week? 🤔🤟
We will do soon, plus other bands in this genre we love. Thanks Alex
Floor is everything! Back from Hiatus by 2025.. Marko back soon after... we can only ever dream...
We can hope!
I hope that Nightwish week three is in pre - production……………….there is still plenty to explore.
Ha! Who knows!
Tuomas most personal song, it will be played at his funeral! 🤘
Well hopefully not too soon!
TROY WAS JUKA'S DRUM INSTRUCTOR. THEY HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR YEARS.
We know but thanks.
Not rare tracks, just songs they picked out of the archive that they hadn’t performed since Tarja left the band. They had a world tour to do but no new album to promote, so they decided to pick out some oldies to play and thus was born the Decades Tour, one of the best shows that I ever went to.
Chris did an amazing job building this week up! Cheers Alex
Wow, well written. Thank you.

He said
”This is the most personal song I’ve ever written.
An Ocean Soul.”
Here are the words read by the boy;
I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you
I'm sorry
If you read this line
Remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse
Songmaker's cry, the one without tears
For I've given this its strength
And it has become my only strength
Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality
Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew
The sweet piano writing down my life
Teach me passion, for I fear it's gone
Show me love, hold the lorn
So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me
I'm sorry
Time will tell, this bitter farewell
I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you
And you
I wish I didn't feel for you anymore
So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me

When Tuomas wrote this he wanted to write his eulogy in a form of a song
some pick stone, other pick letters, some pick songs. I would if I could, but I am not talented enough. Thank you for your support. Cheers Alex
Great reaction from you again 👍

I saw it in your faces "shock and awe".😊😉🤘

@@TheThamesmen Okay, thats great,Floor's library is rather big (didn't even include AF and Revamp),i just wanted to let you and your viewers know, there is much to explore.👍🤘
Great post. Thanks for sharing
Probably my favourite Nightwish track where Marko doesn’t sing. That ending is epic!
It really is.....Thanks, Alex
