nate. I'm having this specific type of OCD where i have made a career choice where i have picked a field which was not im most passionate about when i had the chance to select the stream that i wanted to. I'm reacting to it in a very ocd way and it's been an year and i'm trying to do ERP but it does not work. I couldn't find a single scenario where anyone has ever faced this type of thing? can you make a video on this pleasee

Your videos are the absolute best on OCD out there…by far! You always explain things so clearly and have such a warmth in the way that you speak, that it’s clear that you really care a lot about helping others. I’m so grateful to have found your channel. It’s been really helpful.
Please consider making a video on data hoarding/ memory hoarding in OCD and maybe more about moral scrupulosity that is not focused on religion. There seems to be so little on ERP for moral scrupulosity out there, for those of us that are agnostic/atheists and the scrupulosity presents as intense self-criticism and dwelling on not being good enough, or being a burden.

@@ocdandanxiety thank you so much for the link (and for adding those topics to your list). I hadn’t seen that one about memory hoarding, I somehow missed it. I just watched it and it was excellent and so helpful, thanks so much for sharing that. I’m hoping to do your course at some point soon. I checked out the preview/sample videos and it looks so well thought out and thorough. Thanks for all you do for this community!

This is a beautiful way of looking at it. I really want to adopt this. I saw it as reopening a wound, every reassurance is scratching it, not allowing it to heal. Then you said the analogy to a tree, and it was spot on with the mental cycle I've noticed with myself.

I just wanted to share this here because no one understands my condition . Here's how it goes, one day at school i told one of my classmate that i had ocd and she started to get exited about it and the next day she was saying "i am also having ocd " just because she was arranging her pens in order. I hate when people don't understand us and make assumptions about us.
Edit : she also said that i am making a big deal out of it .

OCD sufferers require a higher dosage of Zoloft so I am on 175mg and it’s been working great for me! It’s a lot easier for me to deal with my OCD now!

I've come to the conclusion that life and existence is the equivalent of being Sisyphus pushing a giant rock up a mountain only to have it roll back down again. I don't see a positive future for myself when the inside of my head has been the trenches of WW1 most of life.

It all comes to mindset. I used to very nihilistic myself. Life is unpredictable and you really can't be sure how things will turn out, good or bad you can't know, but the way you expect will certainly influence its trajectory. I chose to see how things get to turn out because might as well live if it is the only life I can assure I can exist for now.
