Cute tame baby squirrel

- When my parents found Rocky, he was curled up under a pine tree, dried blood on his fur, and about 20 flies crawling on him. Thinking he was dead, my dad picked the baby squirrel up to throw him away. But then Rocky moved a little. My parents did some research, and began bottle feeding him. Almost a month later, Rocky is a healthy, playful, sweet little friend. He will be released to live in a custom made squirrel house in my parents' back yard in a few weeks.
Thirty years ago I had a wild squirrel "buddy." He would sit in a tree close to my front door and watch me. I started feeding him peanuts. I ultimately got him to eat right out of my hand. He would even wait for me to drive up and then follow me to my front door. Amazing bit of human/animal interaction.
Christopher Franklin I know someone who taught some squirrels to spin on cue! It was really impressive
@@rat-tastic422 Twirling,squirreling! 🐹🐹💖💖☘☘
That's so sweet 🥰🥰
Being able to pet a squirrel is my biggest dream.
Its so beautiful when nature and people come together.❤️
The old lady always loved little squirrels
@Squirrel Mark , The lovely lady looks very happy and comfortable with her little family squirrel .
I want to hug that cute thing.
Even it's 7 years ago still looks fresh. 👍
When I was 11, I found & fostered a baby squirrel, which I named "Skeezick". He defined my life, as I grew up to be a Licensed Wildlife Rehabber & Certified Naturalist. Skeezick lived on our property for many years & helped secure the generations of Gray Squirrels which still live & thrive in our rural neighborhood today.
Soozi inCa good i already have a squirrel
Soozi inCa - That's an awesome story. You are a fantastic person and I hope you save many critters to come! 😊
you are a legend!! may favour smile on you and your life be blessed!!!
That’s an awesome story many blessings to you! You make the world a better place! 🙏🏻👼🏻🐿🙂
You should be so proud of your fur adopted pal.He must be a Great-great-great-great-etc Grandpa Squirrel by now!
Thank you so much for this vid, especially for the choice of music. Mozart really fits so much better to nature and animals than pop, rock or rap. So it was just a soothing relief to all that musical crap on RUclips.
Squirrels are a lot more intelligent than we know.
What a charming young sweet squirrel!🐹💖
Cute little squirrel 🐿 they are sooo sweet people just don’t understand them. I love the furry little guys.
everyone wants love...💓💓💓

aawww.... Rocky the squirrel and Bullwinkle.
Rocky is so trusting and playful 💗
Great video and great music.
Rocky full of energy. Thank you for saving his life.
He’s cute. Nice hair color. Here it’s mostly grey. Few black but so rear.
We have a couple of black ones that we feed as well as the greys. They are so beautiful & yes, a rarity. We haven't been able to tell the sex of them yet, but we like to think they're a "couple" so we call them,

Lol! 😄 Have a lovely Sunday!
Peace🕊️😘
We raised two orphan squirrels when I was growing up. There is without a doubt no more finner, intelligent, energentic and funnier pet in the world then a squirrel! Imagine walking into your front door to find a single strand of toilet papper running down the middle hallway of your house to the other end. Just as end of the roll snaps and zips past you pulled by some unseen force and rounds the corner and disappears into the room. Follow it and find your chatter squirrel has packed it in neatly; the whole roll! Into its bedding box! lol That's a squirrel.
I’m so jealous omg
So adorable. 🐿
This is a pure delight! We have the pleasure of a squirrel making herself at home in our yard and she seemed quite tame from the start. I'll share your video with family & friends who've enjoyed "our Frosty"...
It's completely off the chart as far as just how much I love Squirrels.
Absolutely beautiful.
Love squirrels.
Squirrel: "Is that a Peanut for me?"
Lady: "No, that's my pointer finger?"
Squirrel: "Oh ok......Is This a peanut for me".
Lady: "No that's my thumb"
This is adorable :-)
Cute as hell but I'd be scared of it biting me, it cud bite right thru a finger like butter
When they're young, squirrels love to play & will bite very gently as they play with your hand. They're so smart & affectionate too, so there's no real danger.
As they get older & "wild up", however, it does become harder to play with them because they can get a bit carried away & bite & scratch quite hard. The riskiest thing as they mature tho is to get your hands between them & any kind of nut. It's their favourite food & they become quite territorial & food-hoarding when it comes to nuts. As they mature they'll literally 'bite the hand that feeds them' if that same hand is trying to steal back a peanut.
They're amazing little creatures tho. Last summer I released a young squirrel I rehabbed. He's in the wilderness & loves it, but I've gone up several times this winter to feed him & make sure he's ok. He still comes when I call & he'll still sit on my shoulder, despite now being a completely wild squirrel. They're very clever, affectionate & have a sense of humour (imo).
I think it's the cutest thing I have ever seen.... especially when he is eating :)
Thanks for saving this beautiful little squirrel? How is Rocky? Is he still alive? Does he still live in your backyard?
What a sweetie pie, I am in loved with a Squirrels Rocky hahaha
I find it fascinating how animals who show virtually no affection for each other, by comparison, respond and obviously love affection from humans to the point they actively seek it.
I think they do show affection to each other to a lesser degree- Humans are just better at focusing and prolonging the effort. It is an amazing thing to witness cross species. Squirrels have a really amazing skillset :)
@@jsmythib Grooming and playing with each other is many animal species' way of showing affection.
Oh I love him!! 💖 (Or her 🙂)
L'écureuil est très mignon et très craquant qui est dans la vidéo et j'aime bien l'écureuil qui est dans la vidéo. Il est adorable dans la vidéo.
Adorable 🥰
Cute little ❤❤❤❤ baby
I see some HUGE potential market for pet squirrels
Beautiful
Seeing so many of these sweet little critters on these posts make it harder to stomach those I see run over on streets and highways.
What an adorable little peanut.
Very sweet : )
so lucky!
I remember one time I was at a park and this little old lady sat down with a box of chicken from chicken express and a squirrel jumped on her head she just sat there looking surprised...well she gave it something to eat and it ran up the tree.
I like this tree mouse
In Brazil little hand sized monkeys often come across humans and even jump on their laps. I wish we had those where I live
💖🌹Quel adorable petit animal 💖🌹
Sweet👍
Rocky: "My favorite pastime is finger-nibbling."
Have a nice squirrel day!
Milé video ďakujem.
We feeding a family at the park when they see us they running around for some treats ☺️
Soooooooooooo CUTE, Thanks for posting, Jim
Awesome rescue what a cute little sweetie!
The squirrels in my yard - I spoiled them rotten! One day I ran out of almonds for them and they turned their noses up at peanuts! But they can get away with it because I love them.
Same thing that happens to us. During winter when hazelnuts & almonds in the shell are in abundance at the stores they get spoiled. Those are great for keeping them fat & warm thru the winter months. They always eat those 1st & the peanuts are always left as a last resort for the "late-comers". Lol! Now, spring is here, shelled hazelnuts & almonds are hard to find in the stores, except for the peanuts... so peanuts it is & they're not happy about it!
Beggars can't be choosers 🤷🏼♀️Hahaha!😄😄🥜🥜🥜🐿️😄😄
Enjoy your Sunday!
Peace🕊️😘
I have squirrels!!!
I would be scared
it's so cute!!!
Biutiful...nice
ehrlich schön zu sehen
Schön.
Very cute! I have one too! Mine's been released and she hangs out in a row of bushy trees by the side of my house and comes when I call her. She sits on my arm and eats out of my hand until she is full. Then she buries a few nuts then comes back to climb on me and play wrestle. She nibbles on my fingers and rolls around in my hands. Loves to be scratched and petted. Be sure your squirrel gets sunshine daily, and lots of variety in his food (milk, nuts, fruit, bark, leaves, dirt, etc).
I love arm wrestling with my squirrel🎉 friends .
Awesome
I think that's a red squirrel, extremely rare nowadays
Oliver Lavelle Nah, true Red Squirrels have longer ears.
Oliver Lavelle we have lots of red fox squirrels down here in Louisiana
It’s a fox squirrel. They’re more like a grey squirrel, but with an orange belly instead of white.
red fox squirrels are the easiest to tame.
epistte fox swirls are cute
7 angry and hungry pine martens, who cant eat that nice squirrel
Cute lil’ fox swirl
Update?..... Is the squirrel still alive?
It's possible. Squirrels are supposed to live up to 20 years when being cared for. In the wild diseases and predators make short work of them, but if they are protected and kept healthy they can last as long as cats.
OMG such a priceless vid. Thanks for sharing!
Nice, but I think humans are responsible for their disappearance
Humans are responsible for so much things ;(
Come to Kentucky we have millions and I would say they have made a rebound here. We set up a night cam for a couple weeks and saw possum, skunk, raccoons, deer, coyote and we live in the city limits. The deer sometimes bed down below my brothers and we have counted over a dozen. That's just in town go further out into the Daniel Boone national park area and you can add bears, wildcat and mountain lion or two and they even find there way in to town every now and then.
So cute
it looks too mature for a baby 😁

🤔 I'm somewhat convinced that certain species of rodents will be among the next animals to develop a higher level of intelligence. That includes squirrels, probably chipmunks, certain rats, capybaras, and maybe beavers. 😉
I believe you're forgotten to mention rabbits!
@@eg4151
🤔 Honestly, I've never paid close enough attention to rabbits to know how intelligent they are. From what I have noticed, by watching wild rabbits come in and out of their dens to do their thing, I haven't noticed any obvious "intelligent behavior" from them. They kinda all do the exact same thing. They leave their burrows from inside hedgerows, walk out to the lawn area, munch on weeds, go back to burrow. I don't see the same degree of curiosity and personality from wild rabbits as I have from squirrels and marmots.
I've never owned a domesticated rabbit either, so I can't judge their intelligence...
🐿️👌
What is the music? Mozart ?
@@jeffrey3756 thank you!!!!
I've been trying to get Squirrel's to let get a peanut from my hand. I believe they actually know me when I go outside they come running down tree waiting on me to give Peanuts. One comes up to top step but she don't come any close than that. Years ago I had a baby Squirrel that would follow me run up back of my leg and set on my shoulder. One of my friends accidentally shut door behind him broke his neck now that was heartbreaking 💔. I know the one's here beside my porch they know I'm one who brings them Peanuts. Are they anyone here can give me little more advice how I can get her take peanut out of my hand.I appreciate any suggestions
Cute! My dad feeds the squirrels in his yard right out of his hand. His "secret" is patience, consistency, and schedule. He goes out at the same time every day so they expect him. They are nervous about eating out of your hand when they are on the ground, as it's a vulnerable place for them to be. My dad has a shelf on a tree that he'll set the treats on and makes sure they can see him doing it. Eventually, they'll come closer and closer. If you can get one to eat out of your hand, the others will see it and start getting braver and coming closer. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Why would anyone hate squirrels
I should know thos, but what's the background music?

Jesus Christ is Coming Back!
I’m not asking you to get religious - 2 minutes of your time: To be Saved just confess out loud to GOD and admit that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour and confess that you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins, was buried, and was raised back to Life on the third day. 1 Cor 15:1-4. GOD is listening to you and He will write your name down in His Book of Life.
