- Hey Friends - Are you an overseas dentist planning on coming to the UK and working here as a therapist or a hygienist. Or you are planning on sitting your ORE but unable to pass or get selected for the examination.
A lot of overseas dentists choose to apply and register a DCP or a Dental Care professional for the interim period.

DCP (Dental Care Professional) - for individuals who have earned a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from an overseas institution (outside the EU)

You will be required to do your Core CPD requirements yearly.

Hello, yes there is a fee of £ 540 per title

I previously registered and I completed just online application as dentist gdc
I didn’t send my paper back or certificate just I received email that i can download my paper to finished registration
So now
I can register again as therapist or hygienist ?!!

Hello mohammed, I am a dental student in egypt graduating in june of this year and i was wondering if i need to finish my year long internship in order to register as a dental hygienist in the GDC? do i need it in order to get the certificate of good standing or can i register right after i graduate and look for job offers right away

The process is same, you just have to do some extra cpds
