You need to be GDC registered for working as a hygienist / therapist. I think Dental hygiene therapy is a 3 year degree program in UK. Please check the university websites for more info. Sorry I am afraid it is not possible to get DCP registration based on BSc degree.

You would need to do Plaque scores , bleeding scores , BPE , 6ppc including mobility and furcation involvement. Also note down any bleeding on probing. Apart from these take xrays wherever indicated

DCP assessment process checks if you are capable for getting registered as a DCP. Usually an overseas dentist would be able to show this by providing evidence of BDS syllabus and relevant work experience. If needed you can do some CPD courses as well
