    Hi DB! Recently watched a lot of your videos. Your articulation/delivery and the quality of your videos are amazing. You deserve so much more views and subscribers. Just a quick question, for someone who wants just 1 camera that would work both for studio shots and outdoor vlog shots(not looking into the camera while walking, but just filming b-roll footage outdoor), which sony camera would you recommend between the zv-e10, a7c and a7iv? Thank you!!

    • @dbvares8745
      @dbvares8745  2 года назад

      Hey APA, really appreciate you sharing the nice feedback:)
      In short: any of those 3 could do that job. The real Q is what price; form factor and features most appeal for you.
      The biggest difference between zve10 and the others is crop sensor vs full frame. I’ll have zve10 v a7c video out in the next month or so but you can see some of the key differences in this a6400 v a7c comparison: ruclips.net/video/YfS9j3r4Lpw/видео.html
      The zve10 has several advantages for vlogging vs a6400, especially stabilisation so those differences are here: ruclips.net/video/gWNkvIGQfBU/видео.html
      And the a7c v a7iv key differences for video are here: ruclips.net/video/CAEZCiyezMs/видео.html
      Hope that helps! :)

    Great video as usual ! I'm thinking to buy the Sony a7c + Sony 20mm 1.8 lens for my studio (no vlogs), will it be a good choice? (Using zv-1 now).

    • @dbvares8745
      @dbvares8745  2 года назад +3

      Hey Diego, really appreciate the kind words:)
      So that combo is definitely excellent- one of my favourite lenses. The one thing I’d suggest is consider how wide you want the studio shot to be. 20mm is pretty wide, which is great if you want to show off more of your studio, I like to use a 35mm sigma f1.4 dg dn since I picked thst up - that’s the field of view you’ll see on most recent vids in the studio like this one.
      Previously I used the super cheap Sony 50mm f1.8 which is a tighter more focused view and gets more bokeh.
      There’s no wrong answer, I’d just encourage you to consider how wide or tight you’d like your shot for the space you have. The 20 will be noticeably wider than the widest view of the zv1.
      20mm review in case helpful: ruclips.net/video/FtlvtfAYjjk/видео.html
      And 50mm review: ruclips.net/video/LNL47i7_v1s/видео.html
      Hope that helps a bit:)

    Nice review. Try to use sigma 16mm in apsc - off mode, 4K 30fps (1.2x crop) and Catalyst Browse Stabilisation (10% crop). Then it`s about 20mm ff, no vignetting at all, and great budget solution as an alternative for sony 20mm 1.8. Plus 20% slomo converting to 24fps.

I do music videos and need fastest focusing as is possible, also I need the best loa light but I am afraid of small pixels of a7iv, yes I know a7siii, but I would like to keep my wallet on level maximaly a7iv, but as I told you, small pixels, hm. Last thing, what about recording video? Is 30 minutes max or limit as on a7iv. Thank you very much for answer. I would like to buy 74 but, is not in shipping yet. Take it easy :-)

    I wish to buy the sony a7c due to its price and weight along with 24mm f1.8 samyang for vlogging...but the only way to satibilise the footage is catalyse browse with a crop...is it an ideal setup..i will be using girilapod also..

      Hey Parichaya, great to see you.
      The a7c is around 150g (23%) lighter so should be enough to be quite noticeable but probably not gigantic.
      I’ve been using catalyst for all my a7c vlogging since I got it and have been happy with the results and workflow but just make sure you don’t mind that approach:)
      Both will be great for vlogging in most situations and the price difference is significant as you say, so just be sure you’re ok with the little feature differences that price drives:)

    The active stabilization for the fullframe require the bionz xr processor. It is not possible to include the processor in the small a7c body because it would require an heat sink, like it is installed in the a7siii and a7iv. There is no surprise why the a7iv has same body than a7siii. I indicated one year ago the exact festures of the a7iv. And i have everything right from the body size, processor, screen and evf resolution, movie resolution active stabilization, sensor size, if people read my comments i predicted everything, in very detail. You won’t have a new version of a7c before two or three years. They need to design a new processor and heatsink for a7cii. It is not simple.

      What are your prediction Donbros? I’m not expecting the a7c2 for at least a couple of years; and when it arrives I’m imagining the a74 squeezed into an a7c body with a slightly thicker grip and more buttons -which probably won’t be far off how Sony update their crop bodies. @@Donbros there won’t be an a7cii before two or three years. They need a new processor and new smaller heatsink. There won’t be an upgrade next year. I am sorry. But i never make a mistake. I predicted exact specs feature of the a7iv one year ago. And i won’t be wrong for the next iteration of a7c. Great to hear from you TS, thought I’d replied to this but clearly not 😂
      I agree the 4k60 crop is a bit disappointing, personally I would have like 1080 at 144 or something - higher than 120 without hitting the 240 of the a7s3.
      That said, the wider upgrades are enough to make it a good choice for my use case. How about you?:)
