The thing that characterises your music for me are the peaks and the valleys, light and shade. It's like reading a well crafted novel or play. There is tension followed by release and then tension again and resolution. It's what persuades me to go along for the ride and to linger well after "the fair ground lights have been turned off." Now that’s a piano piece! I love the melodic continuity woven through a fantastic range of piano textures (those arpeggios at 3:07 🔥😮), and ahh I caught your nicely placed Neapolitan chord at 3:02 (so satisfying). At one point my attention really perked up and I looked down at your titles to notice that the “climax” section had just begun. I’m curious, if you have a moment to reply. What prompted the time stamps/titles (I like them!)? How long did it take you to write and then PRACTICE a piece like this for recording? Love this Dark Academia style, the harmonies and musicality.
Thank you, Claire! Haha - glad you like the titles. I figured it might be of interest to some people and I rather like analysis. Hmm... I went on a walk one evening and came up with the theme, then wrote it the next day. I prepared it for recording alongside a bunch of other pieces but maybe 5h in total - it's not as difficult as it sounds 😉
If Nostalgia and Passion had a child, it would be this piece of music. I swear I could hear the swish of floor-length silk gowns as the gentlemen gently guided their ladies around the ballroom.

This is a fantastic piece. It is packed full with color and emotion. There is so much weaving. This needs to be a movie theme. I will be getting the piece, but playing it well will be just another problem.

Ive been obsessed with your music! I heard you a couple years ago on one of Halidonmusic playlists. I though "Who is that? Iv'e nere heard this before" And I go to the description and time stamp and there you are! I'm 16 and I have had my acoustic guitar for over 2 years and I don't really play it much. You have inspired me to keep going and learn how to play fluently. My mother has a violin that she has had since she was a teenager, and she said I can learn that after the guitar. I plan to do so, and hopefully piano too someday. My great-grandmother who died a few years ago told me to play because I have "long piano hands"lmao so I feel as if I should make an effort to learn more than just scales. I just wanted to say thank you again for all the beautiful music you have put out on spotify and youtube for free! Never stop!! :)
