- British Airways have just received their first brand new Airbus A350-1000. Let’s take a look of the new cabin interiors. The BA A350 features new Club World Suite with direct aisle access and full door for privacy. It also features enhanced World Traveller Plus and World Traveller (Premium Economy and Economy).
The BA A350 arrival event was full of changes and surprises. The A350-1000 arrived a day late due to ATC issues and it landed on a different runway resulted some disappointment from the waiting aviation enthusiasts. Finally, she was showcased to the media on a sunny Monday afternoon.
The British Airways A350-1000 has a capacity of 331 passengers in three class layout including: 56 Club Suites, 56 World Traveller Plus and 219 World Traveller Economy seats.

Join me in this video from London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom where I and a group of other av geeks take great pleasure in getting a first look at and welcoming in the brand new British Airways A350-1000 aeroplane! You won’t want to miss these exclusive first shots of the inside of the business, premium economy and economy cabin sections of this latest British Airways aircraft - everything looks so shiny and new and it’s just a real pleasure to be one of the first to step on board.
I was initially hoping to see the aeroplane on Friday 26th July 2019 but the heatwave that the south East of the UK experienced on the previous day caused serious problems at NATS (National Air Traffic Services, the main air navigation service provider in the UK) and these air traffic control issues prevented the British Airways A350-1000 plane, a ferry plane from Toulouse, from flying over and landing, as aircraft containing passengers had to be prioritised for safety.
I had to wait one more day to see the aeroplane for the first time, on 27th July, but it seems that luck was not on my side as, due to another aeroplane arriving five minutes late, the new A350 landed on another runway unexpectedly and so I wasn’t positioned underneath the plane on its approach but never mind - you can’t win them all!
The slight delay in seeing the aeroplane was more than made up for though on Monday 29th July, when I took the media bus to the hangar and finally got to see the new aeroplane up close and walk around inside. I and the other visitors are treated to an interesting and informative speech from Sajida Ismail, the head of inflight products, about the aeroplane which was three years in the planning.
The new British Airways A350 has a 331 seat capacity with 56 club suites (business class), 56 world traveller plus seats (premium economy) and 219 world traveller seats (economy). The club suites are laid out in a 1:2:1 configuration, permitting direct aisle access for these seats. The aeroplane also contains the “club world kitchen” which contains a lovely area for the chilled display of premium wines and champagnes and a buffet area.
British Airways are very enthusiastic about this new aeroplane and currently have 18 A350s on direct order. The plane features cleaner, filtrated air with 100% of the cabin air being renewed every two to three minutes. The design of the plane was inspired by the natural design of birds and is arguably now the world’s most modern, wide bodied air-craft - known as the “Hushliner” it is the quietest of any twin-aisle craft, featuring a 40% noise reduction and a 25% reduction in fuel consumption compared to previous models.
In early August, the aeroplane will take its inaugural flight from London Heathrow to Madrid and initial routes thereafter will fly to Dubai, Toronto Tel Aviv and Bangalore. There’ll be plenty on board to keep all those flyers comfortable and entertained with 16.7 million different ambient lighting variations available for flyers to choose from, HD screens for all passengers and USB and computer power sockets in every cabin.

It's just another boring twin-engined aircraft. If you are not in aviation, you probably won't see any difference between A350 and B787. B747 is beautiful, unique and classy

Ba has had the world’s worst business class configuration for decades - 8 across seating and horrible aisle access. This looks like a massive improvement. Long time coming.
They starting 777-200 refurbishment. The whole project will be completed in 2022.
Never flying BA had bad experiences with them with luggage and food, plus their tickets are also pricy not worth it

I have always had a great feeling that BA would catch up and be the 'worlds favourite airline'. It now truly is again. This is why I want to become a British Airways pilot in the future. It's a good thing that BA paid for my flying experience day and that I went to their pilot workshop. Hopefully I will be able to further increase my chances of working for the airline in the future. While my friends said that BA was rubbish when compared to their dream airlines (such as Qatar), I always knew that BA will improve one day. Here it is. That 'one day' came closer than I thought. This is the airline that the world will be proud (or jealous) of. Thanks for creating this video. BA is investing £6.5 billion and this is only the beginning of a transformation that was last done around 20 years ago.

BA finally changed their sitting configurations and design to a quite good one! Good move to change it on the A350
Lion Lim the best configuration remains the 2-4-2 because every 2 passengers has aisle acces. But 3-3-3 is a lot better than the classic crampy 3-4-3.

Apparently the 1000 version can do an emergency descent, completely unaided, if the pilots don't respond to an alert to make sure they are conscious (such as during loss of pressure); it even notifies the closest ATC about it automatically. It's crazy how advanced these planes are getting.
So basically Club Suite is the new first class, World Traveller Plus is the new discount business class, and economy is just, well, economy!
Going the same was as Qatar and many airlines who are starting to realise first class ain’t worth it
@@rosspalmer6849 , competition is so fierce on major international routes that airlines have upped the game far too much in business class, making first class more or less redundant and poor value. Hence, my original comment.
No British Airways eill not be dropping First class on their other planes according to its CEO they will improve the soft product and likely will introduce a new First by next year ✌

I want to fly on the AirBus A350 in general I am not a Airbus fan but after flying on a A350 900 this year I liked it and was totally refreshed
mentour pilot, sam, jeb brooks, DennisBunnik, all have the A350 as their favourite aircraft to fly on

The A350 900 is nice unlike the A320,A330 you don't feel the thrust or bumps on takeoff and landing

@Aymen_Boua BA 100 isn't it's flight number that's the branding for the fact it's British Airways 100th year of operations( through its many different iterations over the years).

It's first flight will be training / work up flights once a day LHR-MAD starting 5th August on FN's 464/ 465 ( the flight that @Sam_Chui will be on) and on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday it will be 456/457 with the exception of 13th August when no flights are scheduled ( it's presumed but unconfirmed they will use this day for the engineering teams to do a top-to-toe check on how the plane is doing). That will continue until 30th August, when she will have another maintenance/ systems check, then her initial scheduling pattern will be as follows....

2 September 2019 Dubai on BA107/106
1 October 2019 Toronto on BA92/93
1 December 2019 Tel Aviv on BA163/162
1 January 2020 Bangalore on BA119/118
1 March 2020 Dubai on BA107/106 & BA105/104
She will basically service each route for a month not just fly on those specific days each month lol. Obviously as more of the planes arrive ( they have 18 on firm order/ in production) they will work out where is best to deploy. Obviously LHR-JFK is a strong contender as it's a flagship/ premium route. It was left off the initial runs specifically so they could show her off to other parts of the world. There's also so tactical moves involved in trying to one-up their main UK competitor VA on some of the routes announced.
First long haul flight is Dubai in sept

Read it and it’s fairly understandable. His Videographer (the person who films Sam) is so rude it is unreal. I was on the event he was on and as much as Sam himself was fairly respectable his camera man was extremely rude
