PLEASE READ:
Like everyone else, we are very concered about the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. We have suspended all travels until at least late-April. However, we have decided to continue to publish videos as usual because luckily, within the past twelve months, we were able to record a lot more videos than we were able to publish. This means we will publish some older Tripreports we weren't yet able to cut and upload. And we have enough of them to continue to publish three Tripreports per week for the foreseeable future!
We ask for your apology for having to upload some older videos which are not necessarily up-to-date. As always, you can see when a video was recorded in the description. Thank you for your understanding. We wish everyone, especially those working in the aviation and travel industry, a lot of strenght in this difficult time. Remember to wash your hands and stay safe!
Greetings from Vienna,
David and Felix
Have a nice and safe times
British Airways now ground nearly all aircraft in all British airports. They even put some of them at the small Bournemouth airport according to my local news on TV. I just heard Easy Jet now grounded all aircraft except for a few that brought stranded British citizens home.
I think the grounding will be expended beyond late April.

I got major anxiety hearing that landing announcement when he hadn't even started eating
2:22 that’s what I call social distancing.
Lizzbird i agree
This video was recorded pre-COVID-19 as they had some videos that they did not have time to publish before. I recommend looking at the pinned comment for more information.
@@conor8274 pretty sure its a joke.
@@conor8274 You know what a joke is buddy?
oh piss off
I don't think all of those other passengers realize how special the plane their flying in is...
thats i thought, when i saw the name of video.... what a lucky had that persons....
its probably because they don't really care about the aircraft model, they just want to get to their destination
but not better then the 787 dreamliner
Ankit Menon stfu “787 Dreamliner”
@@braimah9322 787 is troubled
The cabin looks big and spacious. I'm amazed how quiet the A350-1000 is. That takeoff was so quiet. I can't wait to fly one of these. Thanks for uploading.
It's much wider than a 787 hence it's known to have an eXtra Wide Body(XWB) and yes, it's quiet during cruise
Me:- alright gonna have a relaxing meal
Pilot:- ladies and gentlemen we're about to land
*Cabin light dims*
Serving breakfast while already dimming the lights for landing doesn’t seem like a very safe thing to do?
Gregor Kaufmann I know ... ! All the food would go to waste ... would still be BA loss !
Seems like a pretty unusual situation. Normally once you're on descent you're cleaning away the food. Sounds like an ooops for the crew, I'd love to know what happened. Any guesses?
@@linesided Crew too busy talking instead of working
@@piusx8317 lol I hate that. I mean, it's so rude. Happens all the time - on all airlines I ever flew. As an ex-AA staff member I can tell you this is super frowned upon, but carries on regardless.
Who here is just watching Flightradar24? And see how little aviation is there... :( Very Sad...
the Private Jet aviation industry seems to be doing "well"...
@@420sesamestreet3 a lot of are them are "ghost flights," meaning airlines flying empty planes to their destinations in order to keep their spaces at airports

Κίουι Χόρι Kρητικός still compared to a normal day it’s nothing
You were actually right! BA should offer breakfast always one hour before approaching finals. Well! Excellent aircraft and cabin layout. Thanks!
Another day, another splendid and excellent trip report!
What a coincidence! I just watched a couple of episodes of Ultimate Airport Dubai so I recognized many things in the beginning. In one of the episodes they were building concourse D and this guy named Myles was using the crane and lifting those train cars you were in onto the track! Very Interesting. Really enjoyed the video. 😀
Studied in London, entered Heathrow about 4 times and all of them were 'red eye' flights, it's likely because of the departure and arrival restrictions after 9pm hence heathrow in particular has a larger amount of early morning flights.
That breakfast scene was hilarious 😆
Great video! The A350 is so gorgeous. Thanks for sharing! :)
Loving these trip reports! It’s very comforting to see videos like this in our virus infested days? Great job man.
3:20 the kid sleeping is so cute
I have great respect for the pilots that do these long overnight flights
Nan Su thanks for your kind words but life’s a lot easier these days. We hit AT, VNAV, FD is set and mostly flirt with the middle aged frustrated stewardess with sporadic naps. Not too shabby!
Perhaps had a hardware malfunction for Economy breakfast which was clearly very late and rushed. Still to fly A350 but friends rate A350 better than 787 for seat space in Economy. Bit of a long wait before I can test this now ... common virus, time to go!
@@nigelmarvin1387 C'mon virus ... it most certainly is not a common virus.
Pete Armstrong the A350 economy is way better than the 787 economy. The 9 abreast 787 is absolute hell. But since the A350 is wider, It can comfortably fit 9 seats
We have a350s in Cathay pacific as well! I love them!
Ugh these videos make me miss flying especially with the world’s situation rn... great video though! 👍🏻
I was in the Dubai terminal 1 a while ago and I recognize those places!
the sharklet is just so amazing!
It is a sharklet
Vinayak Ahire it’s still a type of winglet, just Airbus brands them
Vinayak Ahire you are right... I forgot :)
Aren’t sharklets an a320 family thing.
@@AA-tz2bm I also thought so...
Wow, the A350 is even better than I thought. Great video!
It's good to hear the chime sound.
I flew on one of British Airways’ A350-1000s in economy from Chicago to London a few months ago. Loved it!!
Great review of the A35K David! BA’s economy class looks like a decent product to fly on.
Great review as always David and I am glad BA did a pretty good job on this flight...let us all hope the airlines around the world can stay operational during these very tough times. Great views out of Dubai !! They were probably expecting a "hold" before landing...and did not get one....!! Hence the breakfast service being a bit late !! Thanks again mate ...stay safe and stay well !!
Lovely trip report David 😊 it’s pretty weird they waited till that long to serve the breakfast 😅
Wow. Having so many breakfast dishes in so little time. Did you manage to finished them all?
If I were you, I think I would pack all the breakfast and eat them when I arrived at destination airport. Lol
Fact:there are more people in London than in entire UAE
That's wrong information, UAE has 9 million and London has around 8 million people. Also, many people who live in UAE like Indians and Pakistanis, don't get citizenship and are not showed officially. The amount of people living in UAE is a lot more.
@@JamesBond-ec4no London Population around 9.4 million so not to far off from population of UAE per original statement above. 👍🏽
When they make that 20-minute prior to landing announcement, cabin crews are usually already performing cabin preparation and checks for landing on a medium/long-haul flight.. That late breakfast was uncomfortable for the passengers AND for the flight attendants !
Finally!! You recorded the inflight announcements!! I kept waiting and waiting! Haha! Thank you so much!! Please record more of those! (And this one was especially fun to listen to with the British accent!) Love your videos! (Esp because you show us economy class trip reports and not only business and first like other AV vloggers)
Thanks for another great trip report, David and Felix. Stay safe and sending you much love from Reading in the UK.
A month later, this very aircraft reversed into an Emirates flight damaging its horizontal stabalizer. Crazy
That's the only time where no one will complain about how fast you eat 😂 I'm also a fast eater and everyone's like slow down, which I find hard to do 😁 but anyway, great video David 😀
Excellent trip report! The late breakfast was really puzzling. Qantas used to have QF1 leaving Dubai at a similar time after midnight & on my flight they served breakfast when over Austria and Germany. Not rushed at all.
I think there’s something nice about having breakfast as you fly into London, something I’ve always enjoyed on my trips to the UK
Muito bom o serviço, aeronave impecável... Parabéns!!!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿♥️
When you guys are able, could you make a review on the KLM long haul flight from amsterdam to osaka kansai?
As a Canadian I love UK it’s my favorite country
Great report. I remember my flight with Qatar airways' a350. It was a good experience
I really love the a350. Such a slender and sleak aircraft. GReat video!! stay safe
I'm sure the crew fell asleep. I just imagine their faces... Haha.
David, how were you able to eat all that food and for the crew to get the cabin ready for landing in 20 minutes? The mean was served really late.
He said he's a fast eater
Very Nice and comprehensive trip report...I really enjoyed the way of presentation ✌️✌️✌️.Keep going
lovely video and beautiful footage of Dubai after takeoff!
Hey. !!!!!
I love ur videos!!! 💕💕
Hope you are having a good year because of the situation 🤗😊 and can't believe how the crew handle this flight 😆
I think BA is listening to customers, because I flew to Florida on a very old 777 and it had this really old economy class and since then I haven’t flown long haul BA because it was so disappointing, but it’s good to see the improvements! Great video!
iTech Talk their 777’s are all undergoing refurbishment right now. Nearly all the Gatwick fleet have been done and now they’re doing the Heathrow fleet. Putting in the new business class seats and Panasonic IFE in economy similar to the 747 screens. Main disadvantage is it’s a 3-4-3 rows in economy now instead of 3-3-3
Looks like flights nowadays don't turn off or dim cabin lights while takeoffs and landing!
lol I think giving late breakfast is a BA traditional
I took BA28 back in January and they handed out breakfast about 1 hour before touchdown 😅
London Hong Kong ? Happy memories of that flight ✈️ no 28
I would like to ask something @simplyaviation,is the new generation IFE don't have a remote control,I want to know😊
They do have a remote control having it's own touchscreen
Welcome to the UK!!!...let me now offload my cargo of 250 people who have all squashed up at the inter terminal sky train, packed out the first carriage and left the other one empty and then climbed over each other getting their hand luggage, all originating from a country that has over 1,000 cases over Coved 19 and still acts normal. Thanks. Great new aircraft and crew are super efficient bearing in mind the length of service on this equipment. Did a Toronto in J and it was fantastic. Well done BA...first airline to have Lie Flat seats all those years ago and now first airline to have Business class suites with a privacy door, whilst the heralded Emirates still has 777's with a middle seat in Business!!!!
Bugsy Malone how about you read the date in the description and then delete most of that comment
Not most, just “ all originating from a country that has over 1,000 cases of Coved19 and still acts normal “. My mistake on the date of the trip report. Just not used to someone posting something 5 months later. Well spotted so give yourself a pat on the back.
Just what I needed in the morning
This video was brilliant David and Felix! Although, you guys did spell coffee wrong, but it dident bother me.
I spelled didn’t wrong😂
Feels like i am traveling .
Good quality
Yes, BA offers a great service in long haul flights, I travelled from Mexico City on a B 787 in Economy and I really liked the experience. But inside Europe they should improve. It’s like flying in Vueling, not as bad as Ryanair but other big companies give you a better service inside Europe.
Simply aviation stay safe during the pandemic. Do you have more greek tripreports?
really like your videos . that breakfast I would say was very late .
I've also had problems with BA crew being slow with meals: On my SJC-LHR overnight flight, it took them 80 minutes to hand out pretzels and drinks then another 70 minutes until the dinner. That's 2,5 hours! I wanted to go to sleep early after the meal..
Heathrow is closed between 23:00 pm to 4:00 am. What was the time when they served you the breakfast?
Best report ever!!
those were the days.... stay safe everyone🙏🏻
I love London it is my favorite city.
i literally paused the video, searched what a red eye flight is, came back and played it. And what the next line in the video is what a red eye flight is😂
I love the fact that BA served an Arabic dinner and a British lunch
Is seat selection free during the check in ?
First comment sir makes nice video and will make nice video may god bless you
Nice British Airways video:)
Recently the A350 has been introduced in the LHR to ORD route as G-XWBB
I’m flying on this aircraft from sfo-lhr in may its a 13 hr flight im sure to enjoy this flight I love the sound of the engines anyways great video
The sort of content I LOVE!!
0:56 What's to like about Dubai?
That looks really good. I love the A350 but also love the A380. Meal looked light but tasty and breakfast was good too. BA A350 is really good.
Fantastic report as always. Thanks for that.
Could I ask you, do you have any hand grips you use for the canon g7x?
And do you get asked not to shoot videos anywhere ( I presume yes) and how do you deal with it.
Thank you.
Thanks you for your kind comment! :) We do not use hand grips for the G7X and surprisingly we are very very rarely asked to stop filming. And if you are, you just stop.
@@simply_aviation fantastic.
I've only been asked to stop filming In the middle Eastern countries (Bahrain and Sharjah I can think of). Apart from that I was once questioned in Heathrow and when I challenged back, politely, the lady allowed me to continue shooting. 🤷♂️
I miss air travel. Hope to be on an aircraft in the near future.
Stay safe.
In Bahrain, the security person who asked me to stop filming also checked my videos and asked me to delete certain ones shot inside the terminal building.
Great trip report. Always wanted to try BA A350. So surprised that the crew started the breakfast so late. Guess they have to work more on time management next time or at least pay attention to the flight time. To those who cannot finish their breakfast, it's really pity for them.
The Y class seats look a bit ‘hard’ I hope the comfort was okay as you mentioned. And yes the breakfast service you had was extremely late. Thanks for the review 👍
To put things into perspective, Singapore Airlines served breakfast two hours before landing on my flight to Heathrow, rather than twenty minutes!
Something went wrong on this flight
Oh yess!
Hi
I really appreciate the fact that u have a backlog which means we can continue to watch amazing trip reports like this one
Thumbs up 👍👍
BTW does ur backlog consist of singapore airlines?
Yes, I think we also have Singapore Airlines videos still in the backlog...
@@simply_aviation do you have Kuwait airways videos???
Nice video ! The A350 is an awesome plane…
Aviation is now getting low and many airlines getting low mony and dept and let's pray to the lord and hope the virus will stop spreading around. Amen
We will pray for you simply aviation
Those A350 winglets tho😍😍
Great trip report. 👍
They seemed to serve breakfast a little late.
BA long haul still seems quite good though.
Just my opinion: Airbus A350's Trent XWB engines sound is as satisfying as the GE90s :D
Captain Dude I’m glad you said opinion!
Trent: Migos
GE90: Mozart
Kidding!
Im french and im like pain au chocolat c'est trop bon !
just check if u find mo vlogs anywhere XD!!
The airport at Dubai is incredible
I just love the Airbus A350 ❤️❤️🔥
great service economy class meal by british airways
Brilliant trip report. The cabin was very new and modern. Legroom is not very good in my opinion, but still OK. I'm quite surprised that they served breakfast very late
Español : este es mi canal favorito de aviacion por q amo los aviones. ENGLISH: This is my favorite chanel of aviation why i love the planes.
I think the flight is very good!
6:30 noiseless, i think..(engine)
ayy uk that’s where i live, and i’m near london but not in london..
My theory is that he waited for the cafe and therefore eats so late😂😂
VERY well made Video - start to finish - well recorded
Why u choose always back seat in economy class?
More legroom and it's the safest seat on every plane
Something definitely must have gone wrong in the second service.
Excellent video David.
