This video taught me so much about my new Morningstar. Can’t say thanks enough.

That was the most straight forward explanation I’ve seen. Thank you.
If you do the Compadre, it would be great if you’d have the Sunset in the chain and show how to make a preset out of a combination of the two pedals. I’m assuming you’d just add the other pedal in that same preset in the software and go through the same button pushing sequence?

Done! That’s a great idea! And yep… the process is the same!!

@@thepedalpicassosThank you. I bought an MC-8 a while back but have not had the time to dive into it yet. Shameful. Your video has given me encouragement!

Good video, but I wish it was this simple. How did you set up the midi channel, or did you try using an expression pedal? Currently I'm having trouble telling my morningstar what midi channel to use with my sunset. I'm able to use my CB pedals with no problem and assign their own midi channels, but for some reason it doesn't work the same way with my Sunset. There is indication that for using channels 4-16, you need to plug into a midi controller, but I'm having trouble finding a video that explains this into more detail, as following Strymon's midi manual doesn't seem to offer any troubleshooting tips.

Sorry if you answered this already. Is this possible to do with multiple pedal simultaneously?

Yep! Sure is! They all need to be set up on separate midi channels

Great video subscribed - how would you save a bunch of presets and then only use two buttons to go up or down to access them - thank you

      That’s a great question… I don’t think you can… but I’ll have a look in to it!!!

Thanks Pedal Picassos for that great demonstration. Would you know how I can save presets on my Strymon Cloudburst? My Timeline and Big Sky have factory and user presets that I can recall using my MC6II midi controller, but the Cloudburst (like the Sunset) has no presets. Any help or suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you!

how is the strymon Sunset connected to the MC6 - Footswitch becomes midi? Is there a special cable?

    • @thepedalpicassos

Great question! It’s connected with a midi 5 pin to TRS cable! Midi 5 pin comes out of the Morningstar… TRS plugs in to the Sunset! Hope that helps!

@@thepedalpicassos Interesting. Thanks for the quick reply. Ive been looking a the Morningstar mc6 pro with the omniports.... seems like it would be a great controller for the Strymon pedals...from Bigsky, Timeline to the Sunset and beyond....
