Nice information-packed video Mark. I use the Night Cap app on my iPhone. The remote shutter release is brilliant. I'm guessing you did a three star alignment on the telescope.
Hi Craig - luckily the scope has the star sense alignment camera so it aligns automatically for me. A surprisingly useful accessory on a Celestron scope.
Great results thanks. I have a cheap one of those phone folders but I never use it as its so fiddly. That one does look good, with its 3 axis adjustment wheels. Not cheap though!
I am amazed at how well these little handheld cameras we have in our pockets perform. Of course, its not as good as an astro camera (plus barlow etc) but an adaptor / holder is much cheaper than a planetary set up.
Nice video, helpful, thank you! What a trip you must be having! As with comment adjacent, would also love to learn about approaches to using smart phone or tablet for image processing. Thank you for all the excellent content that you provide.
Terrible adaptor, clearly you were sponsored to use this junk the Celestron NexYZ adaptor is far mor robust and adjustable and more importantly cheaper. For a fellow Brit I'd have expected a little more integrity.
What a strange comment! I am not sponsored by anyone. I would be more than willing to review a Celestron XYZ but simply don't have one. And having just looked at the prices online, both devices have the same price!! May I suggest you reflect in future before rushing to your keyboard?.

Very cool video mate. I am jealous. Incredible location for 🔭 is there an app that can do stacking on the phone?

Nice video. Muy buen video. Saludos
Gracias por tus palabras amables - espero que tengas un buen dia.
Great video Mark, unfortunately the Nightcapcamera does not work for Android phones.
I am sure there are other apps for the android market - it doesn't really matter which one so long as it's not as frustrating as the default camera!!
Hi very nice location, and probably far better images than DP could now achieve with all his old useless equipment 😂...
Ha I doubt that very much! It's definitely an affordable approach (assuming you already have a phone) so will appeal to those on a budget.
