We don't agree on "don't die." "It is appointed unto man once to die." We see early on in the story of Genesis that with humanity's long life span, they began very wicked. God is saddened so deeply at the evils of humanity, and limits them to 120 years, and eventually is so sorry he made them that he floods the earth.
Death is just a consequence of our own evil. It is a necessity. The only way to the new life that Christ offers is through death and resurrection on the last day. God bless!
Tucker if you are interested in Jesus and whether he really exists. I recommend watching a great video on You Tube called Woman Photographs Jesus outside plane. You will find an older gentleman narrating the quick story. You will also find the picture of Jesus he puts up on an older projector screen will or should answer any questions as to whether Jesus exists or not. I got a hat photograph enhanced, and have it in my house. You are exactly right in saying without God there's no ultimate meaning in just a longer existence. A belief in something greater than ourselves is needed to cope with everyday life. God does exist, and many have seen Jesus.

Because he isn't eating a healthy diet. He should be eating grass fed organic beef as the staple. There is a reasons it is called the "carnivore glow" and people on the carnivore diet always look healther. Same with Keto. Humans are not meant to be vegan. In the middle of the interview he gets stuck on a question or point and insists on the same question for a long period looking for an answer that the interviewee has already told him he doesn't know.
He told him I don't know why we humans have the strange behavior that we do things that kill us but on the other hand we try not to die now.

That’s what I thought and I’ve got 40 years behind me in healthcare and I’ve seen naturally young old people and I’ve seen old young people I believe you’re either born with the right gene or not but either way death is the ultimate outcome in the end. Tucker, you always bring on the most thought provoking guests. I'm a career RN. I've seen all sides of life and death. I look at the simplicity of my ancestors lives. They lived, they loved, they sometimes suffered and they died. Relationships were close. Family was everything. I look at my family members who've always lived in a small town. Although their lives are much simpler and less opulent than my own, they have had lifelong connectuons. A sense of community and caring. Food has always been at the heart of each gathering. It was the extra guest at the table. A life of complete restrictionand denial is not a life fully lived. When you have peace within yourself and your God, you are ready to go when called. People fear the unknown. Death is unknown. I was happier 4 years ago when our lives in the US were more innocent. Like you, I'm saying no thank you. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should or that it's what's best for your life's path and lessons. We live not just for this life, but the next if you believe. By the way, I recently moved to a small town from a Chicago suburbs, in search of a simpler life. It's about your priorities.
I love when people have open minds and can come together ask questions, listen and reply genuinely even if they are opposites and dont believe the same things. AND STILL HAVE RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER.

My mom is like your mom. She was raised on a farm, she had 9 kids, never learned to drive so we walked everywhere. She worked hard. she's almost 94 and looks great!
My mother in law kept a cabinet of candy, Twinkies and Pepsi. She finished it off with a glass or two of bourbon and smoked til she died at 93. I think she would have lived a bit longer if her kids hadn't put her in a home. She gave up.
My great grandma lives to 99.9 (died week before 100) didn't watch one thing in her diet, walked 30 mins a day. Her son is currently 94 and same and smoked 50 years of his life lol.
My dad too, well, 94, but same lifestyle. Physically worked til the day he passed!
if she was 97 she probably lived through the depression though and that was like fasting for many (?)

I was just gonna write something similar? The mental state of a person is according to much of the research into ageing the most vital part? Look at Churchill and countless other famous people who have been older than 90 and smoked, drinking and eating animal fat etc. Ive read about one guy who had such a low body temperature so low due to this "Prolonged Life diet" that he was constantly freezing? I think, that 4 now he is unable 2 be acceptable 4 the truth, because he has gone just tooo deep in2 it. But, in the next few years , the circumstances will drastically change , so ... maybe than he will realise where he went on the wrong paths ....

I’m 73 and have gone through a couple of cycles of anti-aging attempts, and lately I’ve been finding Brian Johnson’s project intriguing. He’s a very interesting individual and it’s been an interesting debate, but I agree with not dying tomorrow to the best of my ability. I’ll leave the philosophy to you, and Brian, and Brian’s dinner guests. I have to confess I’m more interested in his supplement regime than in having an existential crisis because machines are getting smart or even having a new viewpoint on existence due to a dinner conversation.
There are gardens to walk in for the latter. But thanks a lot for the engaging and good humored conversation.

yeah.......interesting that jesus is said to have cursed the soldier who spat on him to eternal life............the 7th seal movie made something of this decades back.............i think we ar collectively frightened of death when we are young and end up quite ready for it when we are old.

Me too. Can you imagine outliving your kids, your friends, everyone you know and love. I had a patient like that who lived through WWII, fought in the Pacific theater of war, his brothers and all his friends died before he did. Were it not for his sons and grandkids he would have had no good friends.

This was great. Very engaging discussion from 2 people coming at it from different viewpoints.
I respect both angles. I think if everyone followed Bryan's protocol they would be happier and feel better about life and more able to appreciate his optimism about the AI future that will soon be upon us.
Like he said, doesn't matter what views a person has, if you're feeling good and healthy you don't want to die right now at this moment. I really believe we all feel like that. Definitely something we can all rally behind.

Thank you Tucker , excellent choice because Bryan Johnson is open source and completely transparent, also as he explained it was his plasma that changed his fathers , that are both adults . So there was never the need to destroy babies and kids so I am happy he proves this. Also in terms of chronic illness his approach might work , let’s not forget the big pharma approach only makes chronic illness worse not better . So it’s worth trying !
