The old Ford is happy with it's nice new parts. Money well spent and much easier than rebuilding it. I really like that pickup... Muddin is a lot of fun. Back in the late 70's and 80's we used to go to one of the local lakes that they drained down every year and tear shit up. There wasn't anywhere near as many people as there are at Vinnies but it was a lot of fun. There wasn't any big rigs like these guys have. We just used our regular pickups... I had a really nice 76 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 with a proper 406. The last time I went I bent the front axle housing, the output shaft on the transfer case, broke two shocks, bent two wheels, and the factory battery hold down broke and the battery flew out and landed on the headers and burnt a hole in it. That was a really long 20 mile drive home LOL...

That is becoming a nice truck. Like most places north of the Mason Dixon line, we have mud here, and as a bonus you don't have to go far to get in way over your head in it. Some places here have a particularly slick kind of shale slick-um. I learned a while back, that if you plan on keepin it around awhile, stay out of the mud. Over revving, over heating, over drinking, over here was not the key to longevity. Always broke, always broke down, always drunk was a turn off for the girls I wanted to hang with, . So now I watch others, much more relaxing, and way less expensive. Be well.
Here I thought you were gonna get your pipes cleaned out for ya. Well i drove 79 xlt 400 m for several years as a company ride brand new, and wasn't impressed fuel mileage sucked for lack of performance you got. It tended to eat the outside of the tires off until fomoco did recall, and changed some suspension components on their new improved front ends. That were worse than the old one, but once they figured it out it wasn't a bad ride. Nothing ever rode as good as the Chevy did with fbe coil springs on all four corners, until Ram figured out what the Chevy folks forgot was the best riding and was capable of towing more weight safely, and then backed it up with air bags to have the best towing truck on the market. Definitely not a Ram person but switched from GM to fomoco cause 7.3 SD was the longest living I've ever drove into the ground truck. Unfortunately they've not made anything worth the cost since then, and that's every manufacturer to date in my opinion. No not even the 12 or 24 valve are anything anyone else has produced. Peace n Harmony to all
I like that truck. I know I’ve said it before but we have nearly the twin to that. A 71 Ranger XLT 2wd that also never had the in cab tank but dies have factory air and tri tone orange and white.
I have to say, I was holding my breath when the hammer came out to install the center section in the rear end! But it worked, Great! Nice looking Ford! Hey, thanks for taking us along to the Bog!
Love seeing the truck revived......KEEPER! Ummmmm the Mud place......JUST WOWWWWW!!!! Hahahahahahahaha........WHAT THE?????????? Nice to see them having fun.
Glad you got the pickup rear end fixed. It was a like reliving my son’s escape with 4 wheeler. A full sized Bronco. Got stuck many times. And kept my mechanic at that time. Busy putting in bearings all the time. Thanks for make my day in the mud fest. 💯👊👍😢
It’s been nice to this “finer side” of Mortske with the caddy and now this ford. Love the cheap standard routine but it is nice to see the detail when needed too.
That was a video and a half with double whip and cherries , WOW that's all I can say . I never in a million years thought I would see Mortske in a mud truck in the middle of a bog with my little sister taking up all the spare space the cab could offer . Oh !! by the way the 1971 Ford you lovingly put new gears in turned out nice too . Stuart in Canada ..
" I couldn't have given myself a better tug" literally coffee out my nose... thanks Morticus, awesome video !! Yes yes... find a mud truck...put the Ole Mortske spin on it....the lifted Ying to all your lowered Yang !!
Awesome content and I will continue to applaud the time slot. I have a 1969 f100 4x4 on the original frame but changed out the drive train to 76+ f150 stuff. Great truck and have always liked yours too, great to see it on the channel again. Duff is a Rockstar!
Nice upgrades. The vinnies mud stuff was ,,,,interesting …some things i will never understand but nobody can say people weren’t having fun. Sweet car show footage too. I especially liked the shadow of the 39 cast while driving through the car show,,, cool shot.
Love to see a mud truck also one favorite truck is lifted Ford it just needs a 4inch lift to just set right and if u do always go for the one with new radius arms there's some creat ones out there and it helps the travel and steering there what I grew up around friends that built old broncos and had so much fun beating through mud holes and the mountain here Pennsylvania York area so love to see some bogger truck keep up great work and have a wonderful day.
Hell yeah that would be awesome to watch y'all play with a mud truck I'm a farm kid so I've torn up and blew up several gm square body 4x4 trucks playing in mud pits and out in the middle of muddy Indiana and Ohio fields lol .. an old IH like that 1210 I'm guessing that orange and white truck would be a neat mud truck especially with like a 345-392 ih V8 and a 4spd manual shift transmission and a set of decent durable axles dana 44's or 60's maybe a gm corporate 14 bolt in the rear
One of my channel favorites ole 4wd that is used as a 4wd like my trucks ! Thanks for sharing the mud bog content that was great ! Mortske a true man of the people ! Your right should have brought your mullet ! Take care Sir !
Great 71 Ford 4 x 4...I had an 72 Ford 360 4 speed...the bulldog low gear was so low...how low was it you ask....you could get out of the truck on the boat ramp and make sure your boat was on the trailer right while it pulled it up the ramp at idle speed.....rusty old can, but a true Ford truck...great show today...👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nice little video, we got you wrenching on the Ford, then a mud bog video and finally some bonus car show video. Not sure what that green and cream station wagon was but damn it was sweet.
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ the F100 really looks good, I was looking forward to seeing down and dirty in the mud. But it wasn't too be. It's always a blast to be four-wheeling until you break something or get impossibly stuck 😂 it looked like you had a real cool time with your buddies, I especially love you ragging on everybody you bumped into 😂 I certainly would love to see you get a monster truck at a wicked deal, then you can continue to spend money on it 😁 thanks for an awesome video ✌️🇺🇲
Holy moly mud fest! At least you guys went through the deep stuff, seems like everybody else was on the perimeter! Would love to see some military 5 tons with the big tires! In Vietnam there were some Kenworths with huge ballon tires. They were built for working the desert oil fields. In Vietnam they were hauling trailers with bombs &ammo. 500 750 & 1000 pound bombs for f105s & phantom fighters. Fun day in the mud!
Seriously the most fun to watch. The banter was hilarious, even though some could take it the wrong way. All good when the object is fun, leave your hatred at the gate. Enjoy life, right?
nice up grades on the ol ford well needed and when they leak like that self under coating. that was the best time at red neck vil need more of that fun. cheers morts.
Bonus car show footage! I watched to the very end, did you?
I watch till the end every video why wouldn't you😂😂😂🍺🍺🍺
What was that green wagon near the beginning with the big oval grille?
