Mostly rusty crap...but didn't expect much more-
Thanks for watching!
nope, no KIA parts for you
@@brianfairchild7819 LOL- never owned a KIA or Hyundai. A friend does own both brand dealerships, however. My point is that this demographic is aging & dying out. All those parts sit around, usually exposed to the elements & turn to sh!t, then it gets pitched or auctioned off. These auctions, especially in harsher climates further prove my point. Are there finds to be had? Sure, but it's a gamble and most times not worth the time, effort or price/cost. It's turned to crap and the re-work required to make the junk fit, waste of time & money
@@moremortskerepair4354 I do like your channel. Like I was explaining to BF below, the demographic is aging & dying off more & more. All this stuff that sits exposed? Mostly not worth re-doing; the time, effort, costs incurred and prices they want make it a losing proposition. Sometimes you can find a deal, but a lot of times the numbers don't jibe.
For you, there is the advantage of creating content and being able to write-off all of your expenses. You seemed to have found some usable bits as well. That makes sense, you are a business.
For me? Makes more sense to keep watching people get out of the hobby in the economic turmoil, repossessions, and estates- then see what kind of fun stuff I can pick up cheaper
Rusty crap makes the world go round...
Slick fitty and DD speed shop needed to be there.
Nice score on the El Camino Mortske! Thanks for taking us along.
Our pleasure!
Dang Mortske, you made out pretty good with the parts haul. An El Camino ain't too bad, either.
Thanks!
We really dig it when you go to these sales it's awesome I like the way you talk to us about everything that you walk by very cool
Glad you like them!
Naturally I loved the Firebird but you got away with a Nice Score! I love these auction videos, Thanks for sharing! 😁👍
Me too!
Just the very greatest channel! Much respect as always ✊
I appreciate that
Mortske at an auction or junkyard crawl is the most informative stuff on RUclips. Dude can spot a wheel or an intake off a just about any car built in the last 75 years. It's almost creepy how he keeps all that in his head. And it's so rapid fire i have to keep pausing to follow along
Thanks. I think.
Motske, Derek(VGG) and Jay Leno are walking automotive encyclopedias
Thanks for taking us to the auction, Mortske. Always a good time 👍😎
You bet
Dan at DD speed shop will be drewling for lots of that stuff lol
Every time you are out of the shop on your own I cant help but think that mojo and chin and duff are back home getting into your sammichs.
If Duff's running the shop, it sounds like you're not going to loose it!😆 Enjoy your auction Mr. M!
That's the plan!
DDSS all day long on that Tri-5 stuff!
You did real good at the auction , stuff you don't need BUT someone does , and I know that you like to see profit on good saleable items . The El Camino was a steal and they are always in demand . Thanks for having us along , Its always nice to see how other ppl spend their ill gotten gain . Stuart in Canada ..
I want to go to a swap meet or auction with Mortske. Just enjoy listening to him talk about all the items for sale.
Some people have everything laying around their land. Great Time and you got some good deals
Always enjoy looking at junk. Cool how your knowledge about car stuff is endless! Thanks for sharing!
our pleasure!
Awesome to see that El Camino again. Call ok to see and if dads projects from the past. Small world.
Absolutely love those estate sales because they enable dreams to live on! As always I appreciate you! 🙏🇺🇸
No doubt!
Hope there was a porta pottie there so that auctioneer could crap out that microphone he ate.
You got all the deals!! Sometimes those auctions are adult Easter egg hunts!
Nice score!
Absolutely!
Wow! that is some good stuff. K5 is where it's at! the newer chassis would be worth securing too. I LOVE my K5
Loving the muffled auctioneer speaker.. classic
You picking up anything for DD Speed Shop?
Who?!?
Each week I'm always excited to see you and puddin and pbg come out with new content and they're always just awesome
Glad you enjoy it!
You got a smoking deal Mortz , staging the Elcamino won’t take much and should have no problem getting a decent return on it . Cheers 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Digging’ the Elky! Nice score, especially with the spares you were able to locate. Way to go.
Thanks 👍
10:37 it's always impressive when a custom looks like it might be factory. That's what I really like about Vile Kyle @carterautorestyling The chicken truck he's working on is coming along nicely. That chop of his is really subtle.
I do like that Elcamino body style!👍
Hello there .Mrs Mortsilkie . I hope that you are having a wonderful day today and tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know that I am still watching. Your videos . I also watch .puddn fabrication shop and slick 50 s videos. And I wish you all good luck with your work on your new project. Have a great weekend.

Looks like good deals thanks for taking us along!

Good Snag with that. YOU Always Insiper me with your Quick eye & knowledge of the parts especially the inner fenders. Very Good finding that cluster surround also. Thank You
Thanks 👍
Good Score again! 15 bucks for apair of 57 fenders? Istnt that a Steal?. The 64 El Camino is sweet!
Yeah, forgot the 1930s Pontiac, tha one t was. sweeeeet. All Kinds of goodvstuff
Im watching when I get home..better be good! 😁😂👋👋👋
Lemans Tempest such a cool looking car. Had a 67 with 289? but it definitely had the 2 speed. I loved that car. It was 1992 what a great time to have that car.
I had a good looking 1974 that was the last year of the full top and no window frames around the windows. I put a 1968 Corvette 327 .30 over with a cam one sized over stock with a 650 Holley double pumper and a offenhouser aluminum intake and a turbo 350 in it and I had to get the transmission rebuilt and got a shift kit in it. The guy who rebuilt it was in highschool a couple of years ahead of me and he was shocked when after about 1500 miles I busted the input shaft by shifting from first to second at 6,000 RPM. Luckily for me he honored the warranty of 3,000 miles or 3 months on it. Never had a problem with it after that. I pulled my boat and trailer with it and took it on modest mild trails but I never lifted or lowered it. Went pretty good with stock suspension and I wish I would have kept it. Had the common light rust at the front fenders behind the wheels and the bottom of the doors but it was pretty solid for what it was in the early 90's . I think I sold it for what I had in it 2500 dollars. I'm kicking myself today for the price that I just seen. I have a 1990 GMC Jimmy High Sierra full size with the removable top new turbo 350 and it needs a motor blew a rod through the original engine. Needs rockers, rear floor pan and rear bumper. Interior is mint like new plaid red and white stock interior and electric windows. Front fenders are like new just like the fender wells. Black with all the trim, I have to sell it soon for cheap to the first person who makes me a decent offer for the garage that I have been keeping it in for the past 16 years is going up for sale and I have to get rid of it for the reason that I don't want it outside sitting and rotting away any worse plus I don't have any more room for anymore projects. Too many now and someone can finish it and sell it or keep it. Better than sitting outside and rotting away.
Thanks for sharing
Enjoyed the auction action
Awesome pickups
Great content!
Duff will put the shop back in the black!!
During the pre-auction walk around - I saw that X-frame for the '57 convertible , and knew what it was instantly !
In the late 80's , I had a friend that had a half dozen or so 57's - hardtops, Nomads, etc . One day, he found an
X-frame, at an auction, like the one you bought, and built a complete convertible - just starting with that piece of frame .
I am pretty sure that this was the first year Chevrolet used the design for their convertible models .
Very cool!
Supercharger! You know what I’m talking about.
Lol
I was glad to see you get the El Camino . You will get her fixed up !
Excellent video Mortske :) also nice deals got too and did super too!
Thanks!
I’d love to see you bring the Camino back to life!
Awesome score 🎉🎉🎉❤❤🤍💙💙🥃🥃
Lots of good stuff
I saw the El Camino and thought that was the one you'd go for. I look forward to seeing it again. Thanks for the ride along.
You bet
Awesome video happy belated 4th thanks for taking us along.
Thank you! You too!
Man, that was a good haul, mate. That 70-72 Firebird was one out of the box, really. Surprised it didn't go for more. Plenty of good stuff there too, but yeah - sometimes the auctioneers are onto it and sometimes they are just there to pick up the buyer's fees. The weather would have probably played a part in it too - I find that if its a fine day, people tend to bid more, which is great for the seller, but not so much for the buyers! Funny - I had you pegged for that El Camino. Also had you pegged for the 65 Le Mans hardtop. Looked pretty solid and something to stick a good motor and box in and flip if it had all the trim and interior, but hey. The El Camino would need a bit of work, but she's got a head start with the frame and underpinning work that's been done. Just that bent LR corner to scab in and she's away. If someone's gone to the trouble of putting a tilt column in it, yeah, a V8 and auto (or manual) trans would be the ticket. You expect to hear a V8 rumble out of something like that anyway....especially if she's dressed up with a decent set of rims and tyres, I reckon. All the best
Thanks for sharing this video with us
My pleasure
Mort thanks for the awesome content this week hope u and duff and mojo have a great weekend
You too!
That's my favorite El Camino!
@Mortske, welcome to El Camino life. I love my 64 and they have leg room for us tall people. They are tire limited in the rear, I'm running 18x9.5 on the rear with 6 inches of backspacing with 255/45 but you can run a 275/40 or 45. When I got mine nothing was available but now everything is. I'm going with a disc kit from Ecklers that use late model sealed bearing corvette brakes so I can stop my 500 hp of fun. If you need a source for something just ask.
Loved to see the auction. Lots of good buys.
Thanks 👍
You had a crazy score at this one .
I actually tuned in for the early blue Bronco ,was hoping Mortske would have purchased that precious little horse.
My brother-in-law had a Alamino like that with a 327 4 speed back in the early 1970's. it went like hell!
sweet!
I've been waiting for you to do an el Camino. Looking forward to it!
Hell of a nice haul I wish i super knowledgeable like you with every little part
You can do it!
Great stuff😊
Thanks! 🙂
I'm always impressed how broadly you can identify random, put of context parts. You're basically a walking, talking, Hollander Parts Interchange Manual.
Thanks!
This just idea see my uncle do long time ago on a old trailer wad added a pulleyon back of hub and put a small alternator on a mount think it was form se type motor cycle or something really small and wired it up to keep his battery charged for his winch setup it was for cycles or small things but also had it setup for offroad use with power converter it came handy as a trailer for whrn we used drag racing on dirt back in 90s setup up with lights and had multiple battery setup to charge batteries in between rounds even had setup to plug into 120 think robbed setup out of old camper such crafty and learned the ability to make what i need by recycling things it came in hand over years keep up great work and have wonderful day.
Love the commentary during the auction…. So funny mate❤
Glad you enjoyed
Thanks!!!
Welcome!
All those truck ( C10? Maybe ) hoods looked like a gold mine but have to be there to know. I was junk drunk…
Love the elco
Thanks for another great video
You bet
Hey Mort, great video. I wish we had auctions like that around here. However enjoyed the video, boy that stuff went cheap. I think you did really good on the stuff u got.Have good weekend.
Thanks for watching!
❤❤ love your videos awesome content😊
Thank you so much 😀
Good Haul on the Chicken Part's you should make a decent Profit.
Cool video..thanks!🍺🐾
Glad you enjoyed it
Ordered my coozie ! What a kEwL auction ! Thanks for the video !
Right on!
@@moremortskerepair4354 also a great idea signing the Gear shift knobs ! Seriously you go to the best auctions !
The tail light is a 65. Has back up lights in the bumper.
Ordered! Sweet! Need a new shift knob for my daily!
Good choice!
Great haul! Budget build it!!
That's the plan!
21:41 I love that u keep egging this guy on. Come on buy it. 😂
encouragement!
Good haul
Yes it was
Next April the pate swap meet will be back at Texas motor speedway in fort Worth. That stuff will sell good there .
My dad had one of these Chevelle's new with the 283 V8 and overdrive. SWEET car.
Cool
That el caminho was a great buy, especially as it's 1/2 way restored. Are you going to swap meet the big parts and maybe ebay the small ones? Anyway thanks for taking us along, some good project cars there!
Heck yeah!
Great video man your awesome
I appreciate it!
Before you do any body work on the El Camino, be like DD Speedshop Dan and glue a new windshield in it. Then coat said windshield with grinder/ welder sparks, and primer paint for the custom patina look.
Thanks for the tips!
Nice haul!👍
Thank you 😁
If no one has mentioned it yet, those screw in ball joints could be Mopar. I had a few Darts and Scamps that used those..
GREAT buy on all that great stuff! Please check on the LH El Camino mirror. It looks to me like the very special mirror that went on 1969 Hurst/Old's, Hurst SC/Rambler and maybe other special cars!
I will check it out
I think you did good with that haul. A couple key pieces paid for the whole haul.
But not gonna lie, thought a pallet of SBC's and/or the pallet of Turbo 350s was going to follow you home too.
Dude!! Great video!!! The best saying a car guy has!!! I don't need it!!! But I don't want to see it go to waste!!!!lol!!!✌️
Exactly!!
Another good one 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
