1965 F250 Service Truck! Farm Auction Purchase! Will it Run?!? Parked for 17 years!

- Опубликовано: 1 авг 2021
- I purchased this 1965 Ford F250 on an online farm auction in north central North Dakota. The auction description stated it had a 300 6 cylinder engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. That it "Ran When Parked" and was also stored in a shed. So I took a gamble and this is what I got! If only this truck could talk! That along with the service bed, onboard air compressor and tow hitch. This pickup has been SOLD! Thanks for watching!

That handle below the steering wheel is for high speed drifting in that race truck lol. Turn the light on to let everybody know shits about to down
Hi I’m big fan
In my opinion, that is the nicest truck you’ve ever had on the channel. I think you should keep it and make it a revival rig. It deserves to go back to work. Thank you for saving it. Also, thank you for bringing back the exhaust camera lol.
Thanks for watching!
Mortske Mondays never fail to make my day!
Yup Nicks Garage and Mortske on Monday’s!
mortske lowkey has the best collection of old rides on youtube imo.
Don't know coldwarmotors could give him a run for his money
He does have a nice collection but for whatever reason mortske keeps on picking up these specific models that I love. Not knocking coldwars that dude rocks. Mortstke just has my favorite collection atm, love some patina
@@metvelle never heard of them I'm checking them out now
He has a full top k5 blazer in his collection so I am in.

It's a rolling gold mine! Nice score Mortske, you could do a whole episode of found stuff! The shop stays open another day!!!
That thing is sweet! I have a 65 F-250 that needs the Ray Charles treatment on the floor boards...
Bluetooth floorboards are all the rage these days Wes!
Hi Wes!!
"I don't think anyone that young watches the show " hell I'm 19 and been collecting old junk cars since 12 😂
I was just about to say, I'm 19 too. Mortske is one of my favorites
Hell I'm 17 watching these videos and also living it! I work on my Dad's 3 classics and I just bought my own, a '65 C10 in July. I gotta say I wish I knew more guys my age into these old things because we'd have a lot to talk about.
My 4 yr old watches him. Come times I play him in the garage while I’m
Working on stuff. He also wants a duff dog of his own
@@pookysdad4884 I certainly do! They all have the greatest stories to tell, I've learned a lot from them. What I mean is that I wish there were more guys who my age who cared about these old rigs, keeping them going and such. The problem is that they are too concerned with video games and Tik Tok "celebrities." Trust me I have had much longer, more enjoyable conversations with older men regarding these cars and actually things in general than anyone else, and as much as I love talking to the older men I wish there were more guys my age who gave a damn.
20 here ✋
Born in 91 and I watch your videos!
I really enjoyed this episode, I have 65 f100 that is 4x4 that is blue, only it wasn't painted with a brush! The service bed is killer!
For those older brake reservoir, you can make a pressure assistant for bleeding brakes. Get a jar lid that fits over the reservoir, put a brake bleeder on it. Set it on the truck reservoir and hold down with rubber bands. Get a balloon, blow it up attach to lid bleeder, clamp down your choice. get under vehicle open bleeder and bobs your uncle. Done
Who knew WD-40 worked like starting fluid, cause it sure doesn't work like penetrating fluid! Have fun with that one folks. Duff never misses a chance to put the wind in his fur. Pretty good birder too!!
Wd 40 stands for water displacement 40 try. So ya. Not ment as a penetrate.
Sitting here at almost 23 years old watching you and VGG like it's a religion not gonna lie
@@pookysdad4884 With the market right now it's making it a challenge but I'm getting there
I was born in 1992 im 29 i love anything old with a carb I always watch your video
I am 21 and have been enjoying your videos for a few years now, so it’s not only middle-aged folk watching these 🙂
awesome!
That tool that you called a chair detached is actually a chain breaker for separating chains like elevator flighting.
It's actually quite brilliant imo to use an old Chrysler type a/c compressor as an air pump for road service. And it appears the farmer really did a nice job making the system work. With the rear box as set up, this would really make a nice service vehicle. Put a gas tank in it, carb rebuild and I'll bet it would be a great road call service truck! I hope it finds a good home!
I agree
Us young guys watch ya, at least I do. I’m 15. Learnt a lot from this channel gotta love watching mortske repair while working on my latest shitbox of a car
I was born in 1997 and you're my favorite RUclips channel. 😂 And as a full time mechanic, rather than spending my free time to work on my project cars, I'm here watching you do it instead 🤣
Wow, thanks!
Longer videos are great thanks for the hard work
Love the 1960s and 70s ford trucks
Service bodies rule crazy jealous!
Yeah they do!
Damn you scored a cool old truck loaded with some cool old tools that's awesome you gotta love the bonus deals and the made in America old tools. So much better than the stuff today
Best dog in the world. What a best friend.
I’m 20 and watching you vids so you got some young people watching
Before I watch the vid I wanted to say I got my shirts on Saturday. Went all high class on the quality Brutha. Thank you.
Iv put on some poundage and my xxl looked like a crop top
So i told my Mrs i bought her a new top She wears it to bed which is kinda odd having mortske in bed with us Maybe i shouldn't have told anyone
You make my Monday mornings worth getting up and I do like that you do long videos so many people try to do these short ones and cut out all the good stuff not you we get to watch you suffer haha keep all the hard work we really do appreciate it
Younger people watch this, im 18 and im enjoying watching these videos!
I like how Mortske finished the dog treat he tested for Duff.
65' was the first year Twin-I-Beam. They are different from the rest, they have a hook to catch the other beam to prevent over extension & spring falling out.
Interesting!
Below the steering wheel lever is the FORD (First On Race Day) speed transfer switch. Hammer down Mort!!!!
Born in 95, so you got some young guys following you. Thanks for that cuz we are all broke
Hey I came to be in 96 and I love mortske repairs
I'm 27. I love watching the content. I just picked up a 76 with a seized engine. Gonna find another engine to toss in and send it
Perfect start to my week, watching a new vid from Mortske!
Duffs reason enough to watch by himself.
Every time a mortske starter works first time a angel gets its wings lol
Born 1997 I’m 24 watch every video I can, just thought I’d give you some hope lol
Dang 3 good starters in a row
OMG, Count on me buying a shirt or hoodie if you sell them. I Love your LOGO MAN JUST SAYING IT"S SWEEEEET! He pointed one that brings back some memories!
Born in 97, officially the youngest fan on the show!😁 love those old trucks man
Born in 09
Trucking co ran nothing but 60s fords f series box trucks 6xyl. Switched to GM in 70s and tossed al nos. Carb water pump plugs clutches out. I offered 2 buy. They said no......ouch
Love the 7520 JD next to the trucks, cool old tractor
This was running about 4 yrs ago. We use to have the clay pigeon thrower on top of the service box
I figured it was ran not too long ago!
@@MortskeRepair I would bet there is a bunch of parts still out there for them
@@teamcummins I would absolutely LOVE to come back and go through those buildings! I can only imagine all the old parts and tools around the yard!
Hear me out...I've always loved a service bed truck a smidge lowered with Detroit steel smoothies. That truck would look great like that!
I'm on the same page as you!
I love how duff just vanishes at 42:01. THE GREAT DUFFDINNI!
I’m 22 and I watch your channel religiously. Just bought a 78 f-250 camper special with a 400 and a 4 speed
That service truck is one I think you should keep. Fix it up and drive that when you go to check the potential of any other vehicle. You got tools, towing capabilities.Put your name on the doors and use it as a business tax right off.👍
Good idea!
Yes yes happy Monday once again you got quite a nice collection of the old metal
Your hand is your best friend...it does alot for you.. never leaves your side.
Sweet Chryco AC pump turned Air Comp they rock for that!
All they're good for!
When I started electrical work in 1972 , we had a lot of 60’s fords. They were tough back then, only problem with them was loose steering. Let’s just say my boat steers better
i was born in 96' and i watch every video haha theres still some young bucks out there....just not many of us..
Oh hell yeah!!! Monday morning MULLET MORTSKE!!!
Mortske you are my man in a workshop
Man you really make a guy want to spend some money on a awesome service truck!! Them Thorson tools are very cool man I love this truck!! Lol great video!
Take it from an Electrical Engineer: On old cars get a 75W or higher Weller soldering IRON (the guns suck), rosin core leaded (Pb) solder (silver solder sucks and acid core is for plumbing only), strip some fresh clean wire (sometimes the old tarnished stuff will solder, but its more fussy about it), twist the wires together into an inline Western Union splice and then solder...
As a geezer EE myself, yes, all correct, but a 75W iron isn't needed on smaller wire.
That's a pretty nice truck and the toys in the utility bed are pretty great.
@@mikegreen1430 I've seen people get the whimpiest 7W iron a dollar store offers and then wonder why it won't solder lamp cord wires together. I favor 75W and higher irons for everything that isn't a circuit board beacuse it can make a solder ground joint on a solid metal tube radio chassis with great ease.
Born in 91, and watch you all the time.
Thanks for looking out for us big boys!!! Looking to pick up 1 or 2 come payday this week. And some cold sammiches lol
Carburetor looks like it came from the factory brand new after that cleaning and rebuild lol
"Hook em up and wagon trail them with a Chevy" I nearly pissed myself at that statement of truth. Here in South Africa, Ford's have heaters in the tailgates, keeps the boys hands warm when they have to push the Ford's home. Thanks to you and Duffy for a magic show.
Thanks for watching in SA!
Born in 94 and a truck driver watch all the time lol
I was born in 89 and enjoy watching the crap you blow up lol I've learned how to rebuild so many starters. All the starters. That ac compressors an rv2 chrysler v twin compressor. Beefy son of a gun
The snail is Gary….he’s Sponge Bobs version of Duff
Read my comment above. LOL
Great video as usual keep it up looks like puddins doing more starters than you are now lol
Born in 93. I watch all the time
Thanks for watching!
im 22 years old i like you content
Brushed painted or not it's a pretty cool old truck and I'm a gm guy lol
I had a 1970 F250 sat 20 years doing the same thing. took a long time to trouble shoot. run for a few min. and quit, no fuel. let it sit for 20min . start and run for 5 min. turned out to be mouse hair in the fuel tank. plugging the pickup screen. when it sat the hair would settle off and the screen would clear.
21 and I watch you videos religiously.
Born in 93’ here trying to soak up all the dirty goodness
I take it by the hour and 38 minute video this Ford did not start as great as it's 66 F100 bother did LOL!
Funny how the old Fords have tow bars on the front, Hmm! do we see a pattern here, Ha!!! You need an emergency sammich cooler with you for the walk home on a Ford road test, just sayin, be prepared.
Them tow bars are to pull them Dodges out of a ditch.
You keep saying stupid ford but you knew it had all the rust in the tank. Lol
@@thecynic807 Ouch!! A shot to the Dodge boys right in the man berries Ha!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed walking with Mortske! That was surprisingly entertaining. Great video all around.
I was born in 2004 and watch your channel and love it.
Hey it could be worse, you could be like OCG and be driving a Yugo lmao 😂😂😆😂

As for carbs when in doubt whip a holley out
Great video Mortske. Love that truck even though I’m a Chevy / GM guy. The best thing about Mortske is that he takes the time to answer your comments. Tx Mortske
Right on!
well welcome to Monday and another video on why I love my old trucx they keep us guessing and reaching for a cold sammich
That is the coolest truck !!!! It really could go to car shows as it is.....it's so cool!
I'm 25 and watch this channel, does that make me old?
If ever there was a hall of fame for shop dogs, or companions in general. Duff would be a first ballot hall of famer.
He’s right up there!
1998 baby here enjoy watching u and puddin
6.33am, painting postponed, again. Perfect.

Thanks for watching you two!
Pudding's custom fab shop always shows the things he gets from his followers...
I just don’t have the time and nobody wants to watch those mail call videos. Check the views on any channel.
Another cool ol rig rescued by the king Mortske! Thanks for bringing us you tube folks along for the ride! You've had better luck with starters lately, thumbs up!
More to come!
just got my daughter a birthday card that said. this is what you got before texing came along. thanks for the ride or walk. cheers mate.
That picture the subscriber sent you would make a great front and back to a t-shirt.
A great way to spend the evening watching you and Duff having fun. Great video as always Mortske. Thanks
It's the Super Duty's grandpa! 🚨The gumball machine light working is the cherry on top. Too bad I don't have an extra payday or I'd make an offer. I like it!👍
I’m 27 and really enjoyed old cars ( much more than new ones) so this channel do have some viewers below 30
Looking to see this 65 cruising the streets again.. cold snacks engaged !!!
My grandfather swore by Pepsi bottles for bleeding brakes. They were taller than Coke bottles so it was easier to keep the tubing in the fluid. Of course that was a loooooong time ago.
Boy I will be happy when warm weather gets here so I can work on my 90 Ford bronco XLT.
Yes sir I was born in 1992 I am 29 years old you know they say you got a young whippersnapper that watches your videos
