The first running scene really hits home; just the feeling of getting up early to train and put in the work when others are either asleep or still working the night shift, work when those don't wanna work
I joined the US Navy in 1977. I was very overweight and so afraid I wouldn't be able to pass the PT test in bootcamp. But someone told me Just don't stop keep running! I passed and this movie inspired me to keep training! By the end of that enlistment I had lost over 50lbs! Thank you Rocky!

Rocky Balboa was my childhood hero.
The Rocky 2 run always puts a huge smile on my face. Because from the first movie, no one really believed he could go the distance with Apollo.
Where Rocky’s house was is in Kensington, North Philly and was my childhood neighborhood until I was 8. It’s still there.
I'm in my 50's now and Rocky has been a part of most of my life. I think it was '78 (maybe '79) when I first saw it. I've felt that pain in the side many times, but I've always come back to 'WWRD what would Rocky do?' I have and always will love the Rocky saga.

The authenticity of the initial shuffle, getting into his stride on the streets and the real time struggle up the steps was just amazing acting and cinematography. Running in Converse high cut shoes as well…., Stallone was under rated as an actor perhaps but very few movies nowadays can transmit that much quality within such a short clip, those were the days……
