I always play this video when I am about to finish my run on the treadmill. I run along with Rocky and always make sure to end my runs in a sprint along with him. I imagine the children screaming "Go, GO, GOOO!!" as just not for Rocky but for me as well.🏃

The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!

This should be inspiration for anyone.
No matter what your profession is.
Fight for yourself....not through punching or hitting but through actions and words....you should also choose your words carefully though, too.
As Rocky put it....."Life will hit you hard but you need to hit harder".
Life will sometimes put you on your knees....but you don't have to stay there.
    Get up and fight back.
Life is also about choices and decisions, too.
    It's okay to be afraid.
Just don't let fear consume and control you.
I've always loved the Rocky films.
Sylvester Stallone is awesome in these!!!!

This "going the distance" track version, from Rocky 2, gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. It is directly linked to the first Rocky, and his bravery while he remains standing in front of Apollo, though taking a real punishment, and still don't give up. Remember the first time watching a Rocky training scene. I was around 12. Loved it, but still preferred being a lazy bum. Then, one fine day when I was 26, watched it again, reeling from a profound hangover feom the night before. Began with hitting the gym for the first time ever. 4 years later - a serious lifter! Thanks, Stallone pal!

Thank you so much! When watching I was tense, laughing and crying - in any order :) I was raised without a father and Sylvester Stallone became my father figure. I was learning from his movie characters how to be tough against life obstacles - indluding people - but also how to be gentle and respectful to people and things you care about. It's not always easy but at least I always try. Now I'm 53 but the Christmas gift from my daughter - poster of him and Butkus sitting on the famous stairs - hangs in a place of honor in my living room :)
