I just did this class and it was a blast. For other viewers, the blind serpentine exercise is totally blind. You can't see anything out the windshield and have to rely on peripheral vision out the side windows. It's a very effective visual scan exercise. Nice job on video and lap time 1:23 is very good! I didn't come close to that.
Great review and video, Charlie! Congrats on Autocross Champ win. I did the June 28-29 session and temps over 110 every day. C8s are amazing ... AC on and no overheating.
Congrats! It’s a blast! The instructors are excellent and are very good at tailoring the experience for every persons comfort level and experience. They split everyone into groups with similar drivers, so you’re never pressured to drive out of your comfort zone.

Thanks for the kind words! Glad it could help. They seem to change the course up regularly, so it may have some different exercises, but rest assured, you WONT be disappointed! I'm shocked there are Corvette owners who DONT take advantage of this opportunity!
I was there in January of 2021. You brought the experience back to me! Good job! Temperatures were in the thirties in mornings when I was there. We were running the ACs after the sun came up and warmed things up! I agree with you on the experience, you definitely learn the capabilities of the car!

Thanks man! I was using my Sony ZV-1 and a GoPro for everything, and the drone footage was just an old DJI Mini-1. Pretty happy with how it turned out!

So day 1 there is a track session that you can drive fast? I went for C7 and day 1 was mostly exercises like in your video and then a parade lap, "fun" stuff is on day 2, but for C8 COS I guess they changed it some vs C7 COS? because I was thinking about skipping day 1 for C8 COS. So day 1 was mostly exercises, classrom, and one track session that you can go fast?
Yes. The C8 course was a little different from when I went for my C7, but I think they were good changes. It felt like there was less classroom time for the C8 school. For me, I definitely would go both days. You still have that "sighting" lap session (where you drive slower, just to get familiar with the track) on Day 1, but after lunch, we got to have a full-pace lead-follow session. Obviously, the lead-follow sessions are the most fun (to me at least!), but some of the exercises and autocross are definitely still a lot of fun!

The instructors used drones during the course to record and show your driving line on track, so I figured it'd be okay! All the staff out there are really friendly.

I was there shortly after July 4th. Everyday was at least 115! However, the whole Ron Fellows school is a fantastic experience. Good job capturing it!
