For today, I’ll refer to you as Ambassador Conti. You ARE the main reason I stopped dreaming and started driving (my new 2020) C8. Because of you, I attended Ron Fellows at Spring Mountain in February and was blown away by the overall experience. All who attend will leave this school with so much more confidence when back behind the wheel of their own Corvettes. The fact Chevrolet helps with the cost of attending is a great “rebate” against the purchase price. After my “Hot Lap - thrill ride” our group reconvened to discuss what had just happened. Two questions came up that are worth repeating. Someone asked what mods are done by Ron Fellows Driving School in preparing their cars. I was amazed to hear all the cars are bone stock Z51s. Another guy asked “what’s the one best mod you can have on a new C8”? The instructor’s answer…..”driving lessons for the owner”……. BAM!!!
Hi Rick, hope you’re well. I snagged a Z06 allocation from Rydell Chevy and ordered my Z06 on 3-17. Last week it hit 3400 and I learned it was going on the assembly line this coming Friday4-28. It becomes a car on Monday, 5-1. I’m getting a 70th Anniversary Carbon Flash convertible. It should show up in Calif. by 5-15 to 5-20. I still follow most of your Vlogs. Best wishes, Larry
Attended in May 2021, one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you have a C8 you MUST attend this school. Great instructors. The staff from security who checks you in, to those that feed you and everyone else is top notch and so professional.
Rick, ALL of what you said is spot on about Ron Fellows. I just got back from my two days and have this to say: There are a few times in life when you simply MUST look at it as what does it give you, not what does it cost you. This is one of them. DO NOT pass it up.
Rick, I’m here in Pahrump, NV, ready to start my first day at Ron Fellows. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, waking up at some ungodly hour because I’m too damn excited to sleep! Thanks for the bread videos. A tip for those who will be planning their Ron Fellows experience: The course price includes ONE nights stay. You had ass on a second night - only one - at their reduced rate. In actuality, you might want three nights if you are like me, flying into Vegas the day before, 2 days of classes, then flying home at a decent hour the fourth day, as you have to drive back to Vegas, return your rent car, all that. Be SURE to book well ahead of time, and add your second Ron Fellows night when booking. That third night - if you go that route - is entirely on you. Enjoy!
Another , Beautifully done RICK CONTI ,Corvette Video !! Lost for Words Actually , U Touched Everything From A-Z Well Done My Friend Rick , Made My SUNDAY , Complete , TY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I attended this driving school in 2017 after I purchased my 2017 Z06. I agree with Rick…I learned so much about me as a driver, what to do and what not to do and so much about the vehicle. The folks at the school showed us way more than the dealer showed me when I purchased my car. I am so glad I went. I was also physically and mentally exhausted upon completing the course. I highly recommend the school for new and seasoned Corvette owners!
I went last month. It was awesome. Learned so much about the car but more importantly about my driving and trusting the car. The c8 is amazing and even though I’ll never track mine, it’s one of those experiences that every corvette owner should try. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Great Vlog! Spring Mountain seems to be a pretty awesome place and experience. Thanks for sharing a portion of your experience. Can’t wait to see the rest! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
Thank you and thanks for watching - a lot of info in this one , glad to hear people appreciate the efforts I put forth to share stuff in a fun a manner. Plus I enjoyed just being in the car talking with you guys 👊
Rick put my name in a couple months ago and got the call a seat had opened so I just got back from spring mountain and the experience was absolutely incredible. As you said the amount of track time was unbelievable. I felt the class time was great but also to give you chance to catch your breath ☺️. I felt the wet track was the most street useful part of the course. C8 owners DO NOT let this opportunity pass you bye you'll definitely regret it
When I went in 2016 on the ride a long, HOT LAP, with the trainer I became Motion Sick and it did make my second day difficult to get back on the track. This year, In May, I brought Dramamine with me and I DIDN"T do the ride a long. What the training crew teach, is as you said, not only for the track but in your everyday driving. As I have said in past comments Ron Fellows Driving School is so worth the investment in going and learning about your C8 Corvette.
As a long time corvette owner I have some idea how to handle ,respect the limits of the car. This car has created a lot of first ti.e corvette owners, they should definitely attend the Ron Fwllows driving school as will i.thar would eliminate a l I t of these cars be I ng wrecked. By the way you looked like anyone would when a pro is driving you around and teaching you. Great job Rick
Making memories Rick, everyone that buys a C8 should take in the Ron Fellows Experience. Not only does it make you a better driver but you gain more respect and confidence in driving a C8 Corvette.
Very rare when I’m speechless. The whole experience made me a better driver for all of my vehicles. Rick is 100% correct please attend when you can. Ryan was a stud out there driving. Plus he is a great young man. I wonder if our insurance companies will give us a discount for attending?
Great vlog as always Rick! I don't think you looked strange at all. You were just consentrating on the track, and driving procedures! I had previously thought I wouldn't go this route if I ever got the call for ordering my C 8. But you have changed my mind! It looks like an invaluable experience! Clearly and positively AWESOME content!! 👍👍
Another fantastic VLOG Rick and Ron Fellows Hot Lap you did with the driver. Everyone wearing the helmets and gear look like your ready to make a new C8 Lego Movie LOL Looks like it was lot of fun and HOT TEMPS 110 degrees being dry desert environment and scenery looked great. Tom from SC. Have great day Rick
Great vlog your enthusiasm is over the top doing it with your son will make great memories. Currently on C8 wait list, but still putt around in my C7.... thanks
Awesome vid Rick, thanks. Did the Spring Mt school in the C7. The instructors are really the best and sooo looking forward to doing it again in the C8. I'll be calling soon to order my C8 HTC.
Rick, thanks for sharing your RF experience. It is worth the price of admission. I learned so much about my C8 at RF, especially the non-track driving exercises. I had a blast!
Until I saw this AND spoke with Rick on phone about an upcoming car addition (Darth Vader?), I felt yes, the feeling of The FORCE and will be calling Donna so both MY son Adam and myself can experience Ron Fellows driving training. This change of heart was because of your experience there and how hard they work with participants. So true as Rick explains that gettin your butt out on the track gives a person that bit of additional confidence and experience to truly appreciate the cars’ capability and performance. Too bad that Ryan had some tough times but great reason for Ron Fellows group to let Rick and his son come back as these folks are truly ambassadors for not only Corvettes but specifically Ron Fellows training and deserving of a retake. Donna Ill be calling! Thanks again Rick (and Ryan) the team at Ron Fellows and hoping Rick might be allowed to also get post cards of those guys on the track for some of Ricks special customer friends (hint hint). May the FORCE be with you and your son Rick! Hoping Ryan can get a retake and let me know as I’d like to schedule same time with my son! Two proud Dads would be awesome but it will only give our sons a chance to laugh at us (not your driving) and I was truly impressed by how serious you took your experience there. Thanks again for changing my mind on taking the course as I believe many will follow!-Stephen
Would love to see you do some track day stuff in the future, as you mentioned. As you know, you don’t really get a feel for what this car was designed to do until you hit the road course. Public road driving is sporty, but NOTHING like the track!! THATS where the Vette shines, ANY generation at that 👍
Took the class with a friend in July. We both got our cars within a week of each other and he had to talk me in to going,,,, best decision ever! And you are right about learning about your car and what is is able to do the class was GREAT!
That sure brought back a lot of good memories of my Spring Mtn experience with the ZR1. Glad you are featuring your time there in several videos. I need to get a C8 and go back again!
Did Spring Mountain last November in the C7 ZO6 and the same track you were on. AWESOME EXPERIENCE. I can’t stress enough what a awesome time it was. I was placed in the fast group and had the fastest time in the class. It seems like the number on thing they hit on was keeping the car balanced with the brakes. The strangest part of the track is after you come out of the first hard turn after the long straight away and you have the long right hand turn with the road surface leaning left. I just stuck to his bumper and figured if his car can do it mine will too. While you are in Nevada take the helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon and do the Skywalk, make a mini vacation out of it.
If anyone had any doubts about attending the Spring Mountain class, they should watch your video on corvette crashes & things that make you cry. Some (not all) of the drivers in the video wouldn’t be in that situation if they had taken the class. Looking forward to part 2 and 3.
Hi Rick! If you don't own a Corvette (yet!), can you drive a car at Spring Mountain, or do you need your own car? Love this! Margaret in Chicago And NO-you don't look stupid!
Mr. Conti I need to look into that school,,iam just over 400 miles. I really don't feel confident. Rick I have so much to learn 🤯! Rick,,Stop Dreaming and Start Driving!! Rick,,Keep it real my friend 👍
Hey Rick, I was looking forward to this Vlog! Great job!!! Can't wait to get my allocation from you and take delivery of my new C8. My Wife and I are going to book Ron Fellows right away. Looking forward to the next Vlogs
Hi Rick ready to be put in line for an allocation this is the Lexus guy . This is Bryan I am already a subscriber for your channel. Whatever you need from me I am ready so I can go to Ron Fellows the weekend my car comes in.
Hi Rick. Famous last words from ppl I hung with after they took the two week course at Spring Mountain back in 07. "I'm not doing that in my car. Ever! That's why we all are going there to do it in their cars". Almost to a one of them after they got back from that course they were talking about passing Tech Inspection with their vettes, and going off to NJ Motorsports Park, The Glen, VIR, Pocono, Lime Rock. This is a very strong fever if you get infected badly! LOL It can be a lot of fun, and it can be very addictive. The more competitive a person you are, the more cubic dollars it will cost you. I don't know what's harder on a car: autoX or HPDE's? Just be aware, and have fun. Save the Wave!
Hey I just saw something they forgot on the C8. The grip you had on the console during the fast lap made me realize they forgot the oh sh#t handle. Cant wait to go there and keep up the great work.
You ran a different track from the one my class was on. The dry heat dehydrates you quickly and they caution you to hydrate. I'd hydrated plenty but was still light headed and mentioned it while driving with the instructor. He asked if I lived near the coast and I do. He said light headedness might be sensitivity to altitude change, so that might have affected your son. But altitude or not, nothing spoils this unique experience! Looking forward to your 7500 mile service talk and whether or not to add 2L trans oil to non Z51 cars.
Hand placement on the steering wheel and seating position. The class is great. Learned how to handle the C8 at the speeds. More steering input and breaks.
I was really enjoying the video today watching it with my head phones on and then it happened! The ending scene when the music came on.... I went into full smile mode. My wife looked at me and said why are you smiling? I told her I was just blowing off some steam!!👊👊👍👍
Been to Spring Mountain twice and ready to go back. I was so much more comfortable the second time but still way off from the instructors levels. First class facility.
Rick, I really enjoyed the vlog, it was awesome! What a great learning curve and experience for you and Ryan! Thanks for sharing and I hope to some day do the same at Ron Fellows when I get my new C8! TY again👍🏻
I WILL be doing this, once you sell me my car. Been dreaming, wanna start driving! Sure hope I’m getting close in your list. Great video and I can’t wait for the rest of them.
Rick, great video. I'm on the wait list for my first new Corvette and I plan to attend Spring Mountain. I have to ask you about the shirt that Jim from San Antonio is wearing, the Jake with the blue line flag. Any idea where I can get one like it? Thanks and keep up the great work.
Rick… unbelievable, Fantastic….Loved watching and listening to you and instructor. By the way, what is “live braking” ? The instructor keep calling out that instruction. Thanks !
Great video Rick. I have an 18 yr old son that wants to do this with me, is this a good thing for a young relatively inexperienced driver? Love your insight and that other drivers reaction when you were finished, very real and genuine response!
Rick could you feel any differences between their Z51 test cars and your non-Z51 version? Would you have ordered the Z51 package now that you have experienced the differences?
Congrads on your accomplishment and a refreshed format; the typical office and delivery posts were getting a little stale. Old Fred (2022 HTC coming) CT
I hate being a passenger in a racing situation, I'd be holding on too.Everyone should take advantage of this.I see so many peoples driving that makes me go hmmm!
If I had a father like Rick in my younger days, I’d have turned out to be an even crazier passionate car guy than I am right now. Scary thought. Rick is one of my enablers. I refuse treatment or therapy, especially when it comes to Corvette. 🤪😂🤣😂🤣
Rick, will you be attending the Carlisle show this up coming week (probably not, I am sure you are still busy processing your 2022 allocation orders here..!)..? Because, you never know if the new C8 Z06 might make a surprise quick drive-by appearance in camo - just like the C8 Stingray did in camo back in 2019 in front on the NCM. :-)
Hey Rick, fantastic first Ron Fellows vLog, can't wait for more RF videos from you. Yeah, I have not done the RF Spring Mountain track school yet, but I have tracked my C8 at Road America in May, and Autobahn County Club in June/July/August so far this year. I want to try the Mid-Ohio track out by you as well here - maybe we could meet up there one day and do an HPDE track-day there - once you ready to try Mid-Ohio out (next year...???). And I would love to attend this RF school too, but I am already over my 1 year purchase time with the C8 - should I try calling Donna anyways here to see if I can still get my C8 purchase discount for this school ..? Rick, do you have any pull and can help me out with that..? :-)

You nailed it!! I did that in my C7, best time in a CORVETTE. every Corvette owner needs to do it!!

I finally got to see this (and will see the others later) I'm signed up for Feb with 2 others from our Corvette Club. Excited, but kinda scared too.

Sign me up Rick, sign me up! Awesome vlog. That looks like so much fun to learn the capabilities of the car and yourself. Got to get this car!!!
The only facial expressions that I saw (that were worth of comment) were 'miles of smiles'; thanks for sharing Rick.
Hi Rick!
If you don't own a Corvette (yet!), can you drive a car at Spring Mountain, or do you need your own car? Love this!
Margaret in Chicago
And NO-you don't look stupid!

Thanks Drew, I am going back....I know you will get out of it as much as I did....make sure you tell Donna I said to call (wink)
Ron Fellows is great. Did it in 2015 and learned a lot. But went in November when it was cooler.
Hey Rick, I was looking forward to this Vlog! Great job!!! Can't wait to get my allocation from you and take delivery of my new C8.
My Wife and I are going to book Ron Fellows right away. Looking forward to the next Vlogs

Fabulous video Rick looks like an awesome time! Also you had your son with you! God Bless until next time.
The Corvette drivers are amazing Good stuff thank you Rick take care
Hi Rick. Famous last words from ppl I hung with after they took the two week course at Spring Mountain back in 07. "I'm not doing that in my car. Ever! Almost to a one of them after they got back from that course they were talking about passing Tech Inspection with their vettes, and going off to NJ Motorsports Park, The Glen, VIR, Pocono, Lime Rock.
? 2L trans oil ?
Rick, looks like you had a blast!!! Excellent vlog!!! Thanks for sharing your experience!!! Hey dude keep your hands on the wheel!!! 🤣👍❤
LOL, thanks! I'm Italian....talk with my hands.. LOL
Going to Spring Mountain was a fantastic experience. I’ll go again. 👍👍👍
Looking forward to more vlogs about your trip. Going out there next month and now you have got me super excited, cant wait!
You were laser FOCUSED!!! Eye of the 🐅! Those faces lol!
LO L indeed, thanks for watching!
Great vlog. Looking forward to your how to videos especially the proper way to do launch control 😁
looking forward to more Ron Fellows material. My TPW Is 8/30. Thinking about going April/ May timeframe with my son also.
Can’t wait for the videos on using features of the car. Should be popular series.
Good times! Can’t wait. I have vette envy.
TY again👍🏻
The school is fantastic. I learned a lot and have become a better driver. The C8 is an amazing machine.
Had a blast there this past Feb with my wife. Great times in a C8
Hi Rick, WOW! Those guys are good.
That takes drivers ed to the extreme.
Great job with the video takes. 👍👌
I would love to go there. Looks like so much fun.
I WILL be doing this, once you sell me my car. Been dreaming, wanna start driving! Sure hope I’m getting close in your list. Great video and I can’t wait for the rest of them.
Great Video!!

Thanks for that what he was saying was LIGHT brake 😏😏😏
Great video Rick. I have an 18 yr old son that wants to do this with me, is this a good thing for a young relatively inexperienced driver?
Love your insight and that other drivers reaction when you were finished, very real and genuine response!
Smoooooth oooooperateeeeer!! Track day theme song!
Rick could you feel any differences between their Z51 test cars and your non-Z51 version? Would you have ordered the Z51 package now that you have experienced the differences?
I should of gone.... C7 grand sport owner. When I get the C8 Z06 I WILL go.
Congrads on your accomplishment and a refreshed format; the typical office and delivery posts were getting a little stale. Old Fred (2022 HTC coming) CT
YES! I'm in the top 5%
😎👊😎👊
I hate being a passenger in a racing situation, I'd be holding on too.Everyone should take advantage of this.I see so many peoples driving that makes me go hmmm!
I didn't know how bad I sucked driving until I took the hot lap! I couldn't keep my butt in the seat. Better take the Dramamine when they offer it .
Thanks Carl....so true sir....we all felt that way...I did not need the Dramamine though (grin)
How's it going Rick quick question do you have a guess or have a idea what's the base price going to start at for the new E Ray and Z06 coming out.
If I had a father like Rick in my younger days, I’d have turned out to be an even crazier passionate car guy than I am right now. Scary thought. Rick is one of my enablers. I refuse treatment or therapy, especially when it comes to Corvette. 🤪😂🤣😂🤣
#63 @ 2nd not bad, C8-R will get em next year
❤️🤍💙
My C8 still I. Order moved
From 21 model to 22. Who know when I will get it. How much it cost and what is include for the Ron diving school .
Is the Spring Mountain Merch available online?? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks!
Looks like the same track configuration as when I was there for C7, looking forward to C8 class.
Ron fellows is a must after I get my C8
Great marketing Rick, dropping this video as LeMans ends. I feel the need for speed!
wink wink, thanks for watching
Going to the driving school in October…Can’t wait!
Rick, your focusing, all good.
Hi Rick I was just wondering does the school teach you to use both feet one for gas and one for break
Ron Fellows a must. Question, were the Driver Coaches left foot braking?
I can’t wait to take my son out there with me!
AS SOON AS I GET MY VETTE
I WILL SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS WITH RON FELLOWS
Thanks wee the Dragon run. I can't find it.
