I went last July. 114 out. That said it’s not bad. You are in an air conditioned class room then an air conditioned car. It was a blast being there. I missed the flood by a week
I’ve been to Ron Fellows twice and for the life of me I don’t know how the instructors know exactly what you are doing in your car. They have to be watching in there rear view mirror and yet they are driving faster than you. There is so much to learn about driving and I can not wait to go back when I get a Z06. This is absolutely a must if you own a C8 👍
That’s good news I knew months ago it would be April or May before they had inventory for owners school , only way to drive one there is to be a Z06 owner - what a blast that will be
Rick - you're absolutely right....................awesome facility and excellent staff. Instructors are extremely knowledgeable. I've learn so much about my car and t his should be on everyone's bucket list.
I love 1957 and 1961 C-1,1965 and 1967 C2 Coupes 1975, 1977,1979& 1982 C3 ,1997,2003& 2004 Coupes and 2014-19 C7 Coupes Stingray. With Automatic Transmission. Corvette Stingray coupes.
Rick, I couldn't agree more with you on the Ron Fellows school. It is a must for any new C8 owner! I took the course in Sept. 22 and while I have had competition experience, I still learned a lot about my C8 and what it can do, things that you just can't experience on the street.
You Rick are the reason I went to NCM, volunteered, drove my first Corvette and watch you take possession of your beautiful ride on March 14. Thank you for helping change my life and showed me to Stop Dreaming and Start Driving 🚗 ❤😊!
Ron Fellows Driving School/Spring Mountain was the most fun my wife and I ever had with our clothes on. My driving and accident avoidance skills have greatly improved.
Rick, you are correct in every way with the Ron Fellows Driving. I learned so much about the car and getting the most about driving the car. Actually celebrating 1 year anniversary of attending, one of my best experiences of my life. Thanks for everything you do for Corvette and Corvette owners. Ted
@@briankapp5827 I have a base c8 on a location. I figured I would save some money by just doing mag ride. Since I won’t be tracking my c8 but I figured it would really be nice to know the limits of a standard c8
I took my ride along with JJ (may 2021) Dude is just crazy energetic. When I got back home compared the PDR footage I was amazed at how well there instructors can balance the car thru corners. Soooo much fun.
Rick, Are we good brother? On a side note, one of the _best_ driving experiences I ever had was at Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Chandler, AZ. I was fortunate enough to track the incredibly rare 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R back in the day. What a privilege! Great memories - excellent tutelage. Stay classy my friend.
Thanks for the cameo Rick. That was an incredible couple of days at the track. Being there with you and Ryan made it extra special and unforgettable for me. I recommend C8 owner make the trip to Ron Fellow driving school if possible. It's fun, exciting and makes you a way better driver.
I got my 2022 in June, did Ron Fellows in December. I had a healthy respect for the car in my initial six months of ownership. After the school, I was completely blown away. There is so much technology and safety built into this car, it really is amazing. Honestly, the knowledge you get about the car and how to drive it is worth the money. But to use their facilities and eat their food as well, yep!
Do they have this for z06 😢I missed this when I bought my C8 back in 2021 but would like to have something like this for Z06, just got my z07 delivered last week.
I could just see your excitement and experiencing it with your son had to be gratifying. I hope to get out there later this year. I cannot wait to test my skills and learn more about the C8 Corvette.
Your excitement for the C8 and ZO6 is contagious Rick and where else can you gain the experience and have fun at the same time learning behind the wheel at the Ron Fellow's C8 Corvette experience.
Ron fellows should be done at least twice. First time I got motion sick morning of day 2. Wrecked the whole day. Second time I was ready and drove like hell. I figured out when your #3 in line. Stay relative close and get all the coaching you can. They will remind you to back off if your to close. I never used my review mirror. The women instructor is excellent as well. I enjoyed my track time with her coaching. It is the best bang for your buck. Also get some exercise before you go. Recliner surfing won't allow you to get your best.
Not that anybody's asking, but the one piece of advice I would give for anyone going. If you drive an automatic (like me), start using your paddle shifters. All the time. This screwed me up so BAD! I only drive in auto. I can drive a stick or auto, but I had no experience with the paddles. You will only use paddle shifters when you're there. I never was comfortable with the paddle shifters and you'll need to shift relatively quick. IT'S A MUST DO. SO MUCH FUN!
We loved Ron Fellows - a great experience and spouse gets to attend the education sessions, do a 2 lap ride along and watch the Laps from a fabulous tower!!
Current C8 owner, most likely upgrading to an Eray. I wonder how much the AWD function will change the C8 experience. Probably going to hold off on the Ron Fellows experience until they offer an Eray course.
Just watched in the car as we were stuck in traffic by Sarasota! Can’t wait for Wednesday…even if the car isn’t ready but fingers crossed 🤞 Are we taking bets on fastest lap time 😅
Great video, Rick. Every owner has to go to Ron Fellows. If you want to learn everything about driving your car and about your car, it's a must-have to do. There is much more to the school than just driving. The instructors know this car inside and out and have answers for all questions. Have fun at the track with your son. Thanks, Rick.😊
The one thing I wish I would have learned at the school was how to determine an apex without seeing a cone. They talk about what an apex is, but I didn’t feel I could call the apex without their cones.
I think when you get your corvette model which is a long time for many, there is a card in there about Ron Fellows. They should get packets out quicker with model or send separately. Your suggestion is great! Adam and I intend on calling Darcy. Will you be going back?
Does the Ron Fellows discount apply if you bought used?
Good question , sorry that’s for New only , but truly worth the experience - spend the money on yourself you’ll be glad you did - thanks for watching
My son and I had so much fun taking the class together. We will cherish the memories forever.
Mr. Conti I guess I need to but it on my bucket list!! Rick,,Stop Dreaming and Start Driving sir!!!👍🏽
I have my trip planned this July 4th. with my son. I know it's hot in July so book your trip now for better weather.

"but its a dry heat"
Thanks for the report from SP. I’m heading out there in 10 days. I can’t wait.
Have fun!🎉
Thank you! ❤
WOW! The best part of this entire video was to finally (After all the videos of him) actually see Ryan SMILE. 😅
Rick-I am really glad for you! I am sure Being right at least once is a great feeling! You were on the spot right about Ron Fellows! Both times! 😃😃😃

Rick. You were right.
Thank you

I had the exact same thought. What sorcery is this lol. But they are fantastic!
Thanks Rick for the great vlog. Love watching videos from spring mountain.
Great timing Rick. I’m heading to Ron Fellows this Wednesday and Thursday. Thanks for the preview.
Phil in Kansas
Booked at Spring Mountain for August. Can't wait!!!
Great episode! Thank you for the experience. I’m scheduled for their Z06 class there July 12-13!
Ron Fellows is a must have for any new C8 owner.
It was a must for my 10 C7 ZO6.
Just got back from my second Ron Fellows experience!
10 ZO6 sitting outside waiting for track alignment and decals.

Having been to Spring Mountain before, I took advantage of discounted Level 2 school after delivery of my C8 from Rick. OMG, Thanks so much, sir.
Looking forward to booking after i pick up my new C8 Wednesday. Three years I've been waiting for this car so excited!!!!!!!
Thank you!!!
I can't be at the NCM on the 19th Rick!! But...
Will be there on the 27th and 28th 😊😊🎉❤ for the Bash! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Great show..was there with my 2019 z06 learned I’m a one lap racer…
I wonder is they have base C8 without z51. For those who want to gain confidence in their non Z51 c8
I drove my previous NON Z51 on track …was a blast
All the C8 Stingrays at Spring Mountain are equipped with Z51.
@@briankapp5827 I have a base c8 on a location. I figured I would save some money by just doing mag ride. Since I won’t be tracking my c8 but I figured it would really be nice to know the limits of a standard c8

Love the pictures Rick!❤
So glad I went! I want to do it again!
hey Rick thanks again for another great video and for all the hard work and the time you take to do them
I’m looking forward to watching you at the track Wed.
Morning Rick and everyone! Couldn't text and drive!!😊
I took my ride along with JJ (may 2021) Dude is just crazy energetic. When I got back home compared the PDR footage I was amazed at how well there instructors can balance the car thru corners. Soooo much fun.
Rick good to see you so happy, hope to see you @ THE BASH.
I think besides scorpions, you would be looking for rattle snakes!
Oh heck yeah that too 😲😲😲 thanks for watching
Love spring mountain motorsports. Been there a few times but never for the course. I have a C7 but still would like to take the course one day.
I love how they encourage the driver! ❤

My son sees me laughing while watching your channel Rick and just shakes his head! ❤😂😊
Nice show Rick!
Great to watch your video Rick! Loved my experience there and would love to take a higher level class!

Yes for Z06,but owners of Z06 only...limited classes and not sure when they start but should be soon
@@RickCorvetteConti great, took delivery of my z06 last week will wait for this exciting event
When I went in '21, the pool was full of mud and the tunnel was closed due to a gulley washer.
But, boy was it worth it.

Noticed Ryan didn’t have his helmet strapped.
That was a warm up segment actually , he did not feel well and did not drive second day - looking forward to getting him back on track
