This video could not have come at a better time as we're trying to start putting together our registry! Literal gold. Respect your opinion and research so much, thanks for sharing!
Wait I feel like I definitely missed a massive chapter because I didn't realize you were pregnant 🥹 that is so incredible oh my goodness I'm so happy for you!!!
How you feel about the carriers is how I feel about out the strollers! My babies LOVE strolling around and actually request it- Uppa Baby Vista is like top tier!! Definitely worth the price when you do 2 strolls a day with either one or two kiddos! Wheels and suspensions are above average! When I tell you I love that thing more than my car 😂 But I can’t justify the Artipope because we don’t love carrying enough !! If someone gifted it I would love it but not with my own money 😅
Artipoppe is 1000% worth it! All the carriers meant for higher weights and support seemed too bulky and complicated. I like how simplistic the Artipoppe is. Used it on several flights and it was so easy to take on and off myself.
27:43 oh man I LOVED those ice packs. I went back and forth on whether to get them soo much. They were over $40 for 8 and we were trying to do everything as affordably as possible so my partner could take parental leave. I decided to get a box and they were amazing. They even gave me an instant ice pack pad at the hospital but they were wayyyy better. Will definitely be the postpartum item I spurdge on with baby #2!!
I love my Steelcraft stroller which is almost a dupe for the vista. It does basinet mode workout an attachment and can fit a second seat if needed. It’s half the price. Love it.
If you don’t want the high price tag with the Artipoppe, I can’t say enough good things about my Wildbird carrier! I got it when my baby was a newborn and we’re still using it at 8 months. It’s so sturdy!
We loved our Wildbird for a bit and it's such a great option! Our girl just couldn't wait to face out and we were bummed to know that wasn't a setting on those, but I'm excited to have it for the earlier weeks for our next babe!
We started with a convertible car seat (the nuna rava) from day one. While carrying the baby outside and then having the nurse stand awkwardly by the car while we strapped him in to bring him home was stressful everything else about it had been fantastic. We also went with the halo breathable mattress and I absolutely love it. It could be a coincidence but our son wouldn’t sleep anywhere but on a parent or in a snuggle me until we tried his crib and he has been sleeping in it since 3ish months old. The covers zip right off and just like the newton you can pop the insert in the shower and hose it down.
I used a nuna that fit with the veer wagon, I used the wagon as** a shopping cart when getting groceries and it SAVED me. and now she loves sitting in the wagon. Maybe your little girl would like a wagon and not a stroller ❤
I have the first generation Hatch sound machine and heard about all the recalls, but I have to share I’ve personally heard of several people who have the second generation Hatch and have had them explode with the machines insides/toxins while their babies were napping and they were in use! Luckily no harm to the people or their homes were done (it could’ve caught someone’s home on fire as well since it was hot and bubbly toxins etc) but just thought I’d share the second generation is dangerous too. Honestly hatch is maybe not the best brand currently until they fix the issues with their sounds machines 😅
Thank you for this!! We have the 2nd gen and as soon as I saw something about the recall on gen 1, I couldn't sleep knowing anything Hatch was in her room 😅
The Artipoppe was beautiful but we only used it when baby was little before they could be forward facing - it doesn't have good structure for baby facing out or being on your back. After baby was big enough to face out we switched to a Baby Bjorn so they could face in, face out, or be on our back. Overall it was kinda disappointing because the Artipoppe felt so special (I received mine as a hand-me-down from a friend) but 18 months later the Bjorn still lives in the car and is used all the time.
I love my wild bird but I found it so so hard to switch from a front carry to a back carry. I ended up buying a Tula baby baby/toddler carrier because it was a front and back carry. I’d love a hope and plum front and back baby carrier for my next little one.
YESSS. I hated this about wildbird. When they get older back carry is ESSENTIAL. I need it to be effortless switching to and from front carry and back. Sakura Bloom, Happy Baby, Lenny Lamb, and Hope and plum are some AMAZING baby carrier brands. 🎉❤
I tried multiple carriers with my first baby and always had things I didn’t like about each one. My mom gifted me the artipoppe for baby #2 and it’s everything I wanted in a carrier! 100% worth it in my opinion, especially if a very generous family member will gift it to you :)
Do not get the doona it’s not got a great safety rating which I personally put safety above convenience, the other issue is newborn babies really shouldn’t be in their car seats for a long period of time so what it’s meant to be useful for it really shouldn’t be used for that purpose. Another great tip with car seats look at countries like Australia that have really strict safety requirements and see car seats that are banned (I.e the doona) lots of countries have actually banned the doona. I found when my son was a newborn he was light enough to just carry the car seat in or for longer trips pop it on the pram it’s really not that much effort to get the pram out or pop them in a carrier.
We actually didn't wait until she fully outgrew it, we switched a little early to see if it would help her hatred for the car lol but by 12 months she would have outgrown it given the limits of our seat (always found in the manual and on the manufacturers website)
Hey mama! I've followed along on your journey and am a mom of a 2 year old. Please be careful with gripe water! We were warned so many times that it's not safe for babies truly. There has been lots of recalls and babies choking because of it and some of them have alcohol in them 😮
Isn't the Doona the worst rated car seat in basically all safety tests? And doesn't it also have a bunch of flame retardants in it, unlike Nuna car seats? I personally wouldn't sacrifice safety and health for convenience....
@@KM-dn3yy different reports are going to tell you different things - also it’s important to pay attention to who is sponsoring such studies or reports! But you’re right, if it is not a good fit personally for you, you do not have to buy it 🥰
We got Graco from the get-go. Someone had given me a stroller so I didn’t have a choice but they served me well. Lucas grew out of his baby one by 8m, and we switched to the 4everDLX, someone got it for us. Mac how are our babies ONE! I can’t believe his birthday is next week 😭
I just placed the catering order. Yesterday my mom came over and we were talking about the decorations I got and I started crying. I can’t believe it. Years of struggle to finally be here. It’s surreal. Santa drove around our neighborhood this afternoon. He got to meet him and got a candy cane. Jon videoed it for me. I was so happy. So much emotion this time of year
Unfortunately we tried all different combos of cords/chargers and the issue ended up being the camera itself. But the new one they sent us has been working so far!
This is the convertible car seat we ended up loving! bit.ly/3ONdduZ

@macdingle were about 13 weeks and I'm just now finally getting energy back to even catch up on your videos. Thank you!
As a first time mom to be this was sooo helpful. Creating a registry is overwhelming and I cried twice. Thank you for helping me out!
I'm so happy to hear that! There are just sooooo many products out there now, I was also overwhelmed!
Thank you so much for this video. I am a FTM with baby coming in less than 2 months! I found this video very helpful. And I love your calm energy.
Congratulations!! So happy this was helpful for you ❤️
Thank you Mac! Twins coming in August and this was still helpful for an expecting mom of multiples!

ESPECIALLY combined with the Fridamom healing foam, 10/10 recommend!!!!
My daughter is turning one next week and I couldn’t agree more with you on this all! Hindsight is 20/20 😅
I had no idea how much personality a newborn could actually have 😂❤
Love my artipoppe carriers but the ergo baby 360 mesh I find does give a tad more support. (Both of my babies only took contact naps) 😁
Get the Mabe Carrier! They’re almost identical to the artipop and only $120! Love love love mine
Ooohhhh that is so cute

Ohhh as a formula mom I loooved the sterilizer and the drying rack
Totally agree on the doona. We skipped it and got Nuna pipa and I wish I got the doona since she’ll grow out of the Nuna soon!
Ok the electric file is necessary! The clippers shorten the nails but don't make them any less like tiny sharp razors. The file is the way.

Thank you for letting me know! Definitely adding to the list if this new camera they sent goes out 😅
i agree with the disposable pads. i hated the reusable ones and they felt so uncomfortable for me and they were so hard to keep track of lol
I just could not and still cannot imagine having to keep track of one more thing 😅❤
Love this!!

Same 😅
Which convertible car seat did you get?
This one! We love it and it has great weight limits rear and front facing so it will grow with her for a while: bit.ly/3ONdduZ
Which packing cubes do you use?
We have these ones and LOVE them: amzn.to/3VuhsPQ

Hi!! ❤

@@PB-sm5ol We have this one and we love it! bit.ly/4cDC1jq
At what age and weight did your baby outgrow their infant infant car seat?
We actually didn't wait until she fully outgrew it, we switched a little early to see if it would help her hatred for the car lol but by 12 months she would have outgrown it given the limits of our seat (always found in the manual and on the manufacturers website)

Yes get the Doona 100%
The only push I needed lol done!
LOVE LOVE LOVE our Doona! It’s so easy to get around with a tiny stroller that quickly snaps into the car
As long as you’re under 5’8! It’s SOOO low down. My godson has one and it’s so uncomfortable for me to tend to him in the doona.

I've found Graco is just so well made honestly! And I know 🥲 literally how did that happen??

Try to use different wall charger for the baby monitor, see if it would work better.
