    Two crucial steps that are being overlooked, pulling the neck down then faking the ankle pick, your opponent will step his foot back as a reaction taking them off balance making the pull much more effective, hence why Chace landed on his face.

    • @tyhatfield7156
      @tyhatfield7156 3 года назад +1

      I agree that’s crucial. The thing is there’s a video that I seen that was explaining how this was done in Matches and they explained it the exact same way it was off of her sleeping single so because it was that way that’s why it was showing that way
      Another big thing is a lot of us wrestlers we really didn’t do that so even all my years Wrestling it was mostly not just a single pole across that was kind of like an arm drag kind of situation but I thought it was really good too. I have to be wrestling and see how it felt. That’s my thing

      Yes those steps are missed here, the off balancing .

      Yeah this isn't even the same there just wrist drags basically. And it wasn't even makachev it was chimeav. Watch the video you'll recognize that fucked up ear anywhere.

    This is one of the best movies I've seen. It works wonderful for especially heavy weights that aren't use to being shot on. They react very dramatic which allows even the best heavy weights to be taken down

    When I watched it, it seemed they sorta faked a single or an ankle pick, forcing the opponent to draw back the leg on the same side as the gripped wrist, then they snapped which caused the dramatic faceplant moments.

    Great breakdown, Brian! You did get as cerebral and technical as it gets. It’s more of a “feel” and timing technique. Aniuar Geduev is a master of this move. So subtle and effective.

    Such a beautiful move. I’ve had huge success with the arm drag, maybe I should try this next. If the Russian tie snap fail you could go straight to the single leg high crotch

  • @kallepikku4991

    The wrestler you're refering to is Geduev. He pulled this exact version of Side Snap off the wrist.
    Saitiev had his own version actually, where he Side Snapped the opponent directly from Collar Tie. It's much more practical version actually, because you don't need to secure the wrist (which is sometimes difficult to do against a good wrestler). I use Saitiev's version often, and with high success rate because Collar Tie position is easy to achive.... and because young kids don't know who the great Buvaisar Saitiev is.

    by getting that you have the put away the arm that you holding, get underneath and set up a fake leg grab which oppossing on which arm you holding and once that oppossing leg set away from you your opponent in just on it’s 1 leg and that’s where you pulling the arm that you holding toward or inward of that opponent to loose his balance.

    By the way Coach Brian has very smooth and sincere narrating, it give me chills to listen to him. But! I have to advice to that guys in the video to learn proper way to execute that move, because thet doing that wrong! You should pull the ancke and make him loss his balance, then turn the wrist.

    What made that move look so cool when Chimaev hit it on Chase was that Chimaev took the hand that was on the back of Chase’s neck and reached for the leg/foot . Chase reacted to that and lifted his leg back and on that instant he only had one leg for balance so Chimaeev took advantage of that split second and made him flip . Very high level of wrestling .

    • @linusspiegel7470
      @linusspiegel7470 6 месяцев назад

      nah aikido never supposed to be a practical martial art, is more of a philosophical and religious thing. If you want to learn how to use techniques similar to aikido I would suggest studying the same styles that Ueshiba learned, daito ryu aikijujutsu and kito ryu jujutsu(one of the parents of judo/kano jujutsu)

    At the two minute 43 second mark you can tell he used his left hand to try to throw his opponents leg over as well. Maybe similar in mechanics to a judo leg wheel? At three minutes two seconds you can see how low he dips his head. He’s essentially looking for his contact lens on the ground.

    • @dfpguitar

      tbf , every wrestler would opt to roll out of it if they could. But crucially the wrist drag is counter directional to the direction you would need to roll, that is the magic of the move.
