Impressions at the end. Trying to fit too many toys into too little space ? Cure - get a small lightweight box trailer. Would roof box in the van roof be not solid enough for rigid solar panels ? is the Roof rack OK to mount rigid solar panels but losing roof rack utility ? Wiring for solar in the van I'd personally keep completely separate from the actual van wiring (keep that standard to help avoid future grief. tbh, the plans for cramming toys I to the van, sound like you are going to end up far worse off than I was in my mobile shop. Maybe keep all the wet stuff forvthe boat ? 🤔 Best Wishes. Debbie Downer Bob. There's that "We really need a Bigger Boat" issue rearing its ugly head again. 👍🤣

I have followed you guys from your beginning on RUclips. While my original interest was in your becoming "cruisers," I also enjoy your UK perspective. Your on-camera, ca-do, attitudes are infectious. I look forward to the transformation of your van; however, it's your transformation as individuals that is most compelling.

Limitations, we always run into them, fight them we get nowhere, but embrace them and accept them, and things can work out Like disabled me. If I bin the idea of Centre Cockpit and Ketch rigged boats, and go for rear Cockpit boats with a Bathing platform to get me on and off what will be used by me as a Tender deck, I Can Keep Sailing ! Yes my Boat zselectiom gets limited, but not E Laminated, and Still Sailing equals a Major Major Win ! How often do us old farts get any sort of a Win, let alone a Major Win ? 🏆 Bob. ⛵️ ✨️✨️✨️🤣🤣🤣

PS. Is it worth getting a high top roof fitted ? If not ridiculous Money That could open up a lot of options to improve Van life ? 🤔Bob. PS. A friend had a SWB with a fabric sided popup, and another with a GRP rigid on a SWB and both made a heck of a difference - though the rigid was much less of a pita tbh.

your ruff cut videos are way better than this gay little youtube tutorial style lol no offense, love you guys, dont try to be like the people without personalities, your other videos are much more personal and fun to watch even if its just yous making snow angels or trying to figure out where to go next lol

Cool project. Is Starlink available in Europe? Might help you stay connected.

Yes Starlink would be a great thing to have, a little on the pricey side but does seem to work great for some of our friends who have it 😀

Elevate the floor by 6 inches so you can get insulation under the floor but leave the front half by the sliding door with side access to store fins and spear gun. You can't stand up inside anyway so loosing a few inches shouldn't be too bad but opens up the option to store longer items.

Hey guys maybe consider pvc pipe with screw cap ends mounted along each side of your roof rack for your spear guns and stuff also they work really well for storing water in you can install fittings for a shower or just a hose for wash down cheers

Ideally, a Campervan is a long wheelbase, but I lived for over 18 months the in my mobile shop dreadful VW Campervan (man they really do suck as vehicles, all good reputation but actually Crap in reality. Now that I could have the damned thing full of Stock and was still able to sleep comfortably, make hot drinks and hot food, is a good pointer to you having a comfy Camper in what is a decent SWB Vvan, first thought, Don't bother trying to fit in a Toilet, or it'll be as bad as me having a van full of CB Radios and associated gear. On my route around the Country, I soon got to know where the toilet stops were, plus the places to stop overnight . CB Club meet ups were always in Pubs as well, and they all had toilets. For fitting out a SWB Van, if you're awash with Cash and intend selling it on as a posh fitted out item, you can get fit out kits from places that specialise in them ? Me, I'd look for a cheap 10ft touring caravan (often they can be "please take the thing away" as people have to get rid) then extract interior from the Tourer, and fit it into the van modding and upgrading bits as necessary. Basically, pretty much everything you need is already in a Touring Caravan, and I can guarantee you'll have something far better than a Crappy VW Campervan to go places in. Best Wishes. Bob. 👍
