  • Save over a $1,000 dollars making your own low flying fog machine or contraption. From my experience the stronger the fog machine the more low flying fog you will yield. This has been really fun to use for weddings, house parties, halloween and any event requiring this effect. For best results use plenty of ice and get yourself a block (amount is up to you) of dry ice added to regular ice. Enjoy and see you at the next party!
I didn't mention the fog brand but here is the one I use American DJ fog fluid or any other great performing fog fluid.

Amazing video! Had the same coolers at home so I was glad to find a tutorial I could use. One thing, do I need to get 2 male and 2 female Adapters? Or just 1 of each

Just made one of these and it works as advertised. One thing though. As the fog adjusts to room temperature, it begins to rise and starts to look just like any other fog machine.

Awesome question and the best results I’ve experienced happen when I use a combination of dry ice and lots of regular ice. Have fun!!!! It’s so cool when it comes out and hugs the floor.

Best DIY tutorial I've seen on this. I want to make one but on a much smaller scale. Would it be ok to use a real cooler (plastic) as opposed to Styrofoam (I'd rather do it this way). My cooler is mini 12x9" and only 12" tall, would this still work? I need this only for 20' room. I was going to use vacuum hose, how high should I place the holes in the cooler?

I appreciate the very kind words, thank you. With regards to using a plastic cooler, I’ve done that too and just be prepared for a lot of water forming on the outside of the plastic and placement of the hose is ok higher up so water doesn’t drip out of the hose. Now the most important thing is to have a longer vacuum hose to compensate for a smaller plastic container and realllllly fill the container with ice maxed out. Have an awesome time making this and let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help.

I appreciate that and have to tell you that dry ice mixed with regular ice game me awesome results. I used Sam ash fog juice but any fog juice should work just the same. Have an awesome time!

So, this cant be used on dance floors for safety reasons right?

Good question, I have used this on dance floors but i definitely put a towel underneath the foam container to avoid water puddles. With regards to the fog itself i would test it on the type of flooring youd be performing on to see if its slippery or not. Have an awesome event!

In the fog machine do you just add water or do you have to add the fog liquid?

    • @Breaking_Your_Barriers

Great question! Just add fog fluid to the fog machine and the more ice and dry ice you use in the container the better the effect. Enjoy!

Just remember to be safe for everyone wanting to do this. The smoke is carbon dioxide. Other than that have fun!!
