Unfortunately, There is no spell checker in older released versions of Scribus. This is because Scribus is not intended to be a word processor-it is designed to document layout. If you are working on importing text content created using a word processor-as this video suggests-it is suggested that you perform all grammar and spell checking in the word processing application before attempting to import text content into Scribus. Regardless, for the newer versions of Scribus that do support spell checking it would be a good idea to provide a video as its use is not entirely intuitive.
